Breaking down the wildest Boston Celtics trade rumors

Yahoo4 days ago

Boston Celtics fans are preparing themselves for what could be a busy summer. Since Joe Mazzulla's team was eliminated from the 2025 NBA playoffs at the hands of the New York Knicks, trade rumors linking multiple members of the roster have begun to swirl. Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis appear to be the most likely to head for the exit door.
However, as it does every summer, the rumor mill is slowly churning toward full gear. And with each passing day, new (and often more extravagant) trade proposals are making their way into the ether. Suddenly, Jaylen Brown is back in the rumor mill, as is every member of the championship-winning team outside of Jayson Tatum.

During a recent episode of NESN's "Hold My Banner" podcast, Travis Thomas and Ountae Campbell dove into some of the more extreme trade proposals that have been released in recent weeks. The duo broke down the potential impact of each trade idea and the validity of whether it would work or if they even made sense.

Will Jarace Walker play in the NBA Finals? What Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said

Jarace Walker remains out for the Indiana Pacers, but if the NBA Finals go the distance, he could return. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said the second-year player "is not close to playing" after suffering an ankle injury in Game 6 against the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals. "He's on one crutch. Hopefully going to be off crutches in the next day or so. It's a long series. It's 18 days. He's young. There's a possibility he could get back ... but he's not there yet." The Pacers lead the Oklahoma City Thunder 1-0 in the best-of-seven series heading into Sunday night's Game 2. A Game 7 would be Sunday, June 22. Walker has appeared in 12 playoff games, averaging 9.8 minutes and 3.0 points.
