Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. pay-per-view price revealed ahead of June fight

Combat sports fans might need to save up for June 28 with Jake Paul facing Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and UFC 317 both taking place on the same night. On Thursday, DAZN revealed the pay-per-view price for the Paul vs. Chavez Jr. fight, which also features former UFC champion Holly Holm making her return to boxing on the undercard. Advertisement The Paul vs. Chavez Jr. fight costs $59.99 for the pay-per-view along with a subscription to DAZN. The boxing match marks Paul's first fight in 2025 after he put on one of the biggest spectacles in history this past November when he defeated former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson with more than 100 million viewers watching the event on Netflix. The win over the 58-year-old Tyson moved Paul's record to 11-1 overall and now he's seeking to add another famous name to his resume when he faces Chavez in June. Of course, Chavez comes into the fight at 39 years old and far removed from the prime of his career when he was a champion and top contender in several different divisions. Over his past six fights, Chavez has gone 3-3 including a shocking loss to UFC legend Anderson Silva, who Paul defeated back in 2022. Advertisement Most recently, Chavez won an uninspired decision over another former UFC fighter in Uriah Hall. The event also includes Holm making her return to boxing for the first time since 2013 when she faces Yolanda Vega on the main card. Paul vs. Chavez is set to go head-to-head with UFC 317, which features a vacant lightweight title fight at the top of the card when Ilia Topuria moves to 155 pounds to challenge former champion Charles Oliveira in the main event while Alexandre Pantoja defends his flyweight title against Kai Kara-France in the co-main event from Las Vegas. UFC 317 costs $79.99 along with a subscription to ESPN+. Advertisement More from

Holly Holm to return on Jake Paul-Julio César Chávez Jr undercard

Former women's boxing and UFC champion Holly Holm will face Yolanda Vega on the undercard of Paul-Chávez Jr on 28 June. The pair will meet in a ten-round lightweight bout at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Holm, 43 years old and 33-2 (9), will face Vega in a bout that will be broadcast on DAZN. Holm, who beat Ronda Rousey in Melbourne, Australia, for the UFC's women's bantamweight championship in 2015, finished her career in the organisation with a record of 15-7-0 with one no-contest. She is also a multiple-weight world champion in boxing. For the fight, Holm has signed with Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions company. She will also be fighting at 135lbs for the first time in her career. Holm recently spoke with Ariel Helwani on his YouTube channel. She said: 'I think my boxing this time around is going to be a little different than my boxing before. I've had ten years of fighting or more since my last boxing fight until now, and I feel like my style of boxing will be slightly different than when I just boxed before.' Beginning in 2002, Holm's professional career saw her win the lightly regarded IBA super lightweight title in 2004. In 2007, she won the WBC welterweight championship with a unanimous decision over Ann Saccurato in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She remained undefeated across multiple title fights until losing a match against Anne Sophie Mathis in 2011 via knockout in seven rounds (Holm's other boxing loss came in 2004, just before winning her first title). Holm went on to join the UFC in 2015, winning decisions over Raquel Pennington and Marion Reneau before upsetting Ronda Rousey in the second round with a stoppage arising from a headkick. After losing her three next fights within the Octagon, Holm returned to winning ways with a KO of Bethe Correia in 2017. Her UFC career then finished with a run of four wins and five losses. The match between Holm and Vega will mark the former champion's return to boxing after over twelve years. Holm told Helwani that she expected Vega to put up a tough fight. She added: 'We've watched a couple of fights with her. She's got some clean punches, she's tough, and she's confident. I'm not putting anything past her. And I honestly think that she's going to be more prepared for this fight than she has been. And I expect to get the toughest version of her.' Vega, 10-0 (1), is 29 and comes from Ciudad Obregon in the Mexican state of Sonora. Having turned professional ten years ago, she has fought the entirety of her career at home. Her last fight took place in March in Hermosillo, where she won a wide unanimous decision over Claudia Fernanda Herrera Lopez.

Now focused on boxing, Holly Holm aims for title fights vs. Amanda Serrano or Katie Taylor

Now focused on boxing, Holly Holm aims for title fights vs. Amanda Serrano or Katie Taylor Fomer UFC champion Holly Holm has big plans for her return to boxing. Holly Holm's return to boxing is more than just a trip down memory lane or a way to collect a paycheck. The former UFC champion is taking her comeback to the "sweet science" very seriously and plans to fight for a major title against some of the biggest names today in women's boxing. Holm (33-2-3), who returns to the ring against Yolanda Vega(10-0) on Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions event on June 28, wants to fight top stars Katie Taylor or Amanda Serrano. "I don't ever look past who I'm fighting right now," Holm said on "The Ariel Helwani Show." "She's undefeated, maybe she doesn't have quite the experience, but she's undefeated coming in, she's tough, and I want to do well there as far as my immediate goal. But yeah, I'd like to fight for a title and then be able to fight Serrano or Taylor after that." Serrano and Taylor are scheduled to meet in a trilogy bout for the undisputed super lightweight title on July 11 in New York. Both Serrano and Taylor are considered two of the biggest stars in women's boxing today. Holm's return to boxing for the first time in over a decade comes on the heels of a failed transition from the UFC to GFL. Holm was granted her release by the UFC in January and signed with GLF shortly after. GFL canceled its inaugural events, and there's little optimism of a future launch. "It's one of those things, I was hopeful, and I put my work in thinking we have a fight coming up, but I also don't throw all my eggs in one basket," Holm explained. "I want to make sure I'm always training and be ready. One thing about training my whole life and just being dedicated is that I've been able to have options. So GFL, that whole fight got cancelled, and unknown if it's ever going to happen, I'm thankful that I have the options to go back and pursue boxing and be able to be on a big card out in California. I'm excited for it." Although a return to boxing might seem like a Plan B for Holm, she had been wanting to make a return to the ring for quite some time. Holm started boxing professionally in 2002 and competed a total of 38 times. Throughout that span she won and defended multiple titles, and built an impressive resume, impressive enough to get her inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame back in 2022. "I wanted to do both regardless, if I could," Holm explained of her transition from MMA back to boxing. "There were already some days I was boxing anyway when (GFL) was questionable on the fence. So I've kind of been just training and focusing on boxing for the last couple of months. It something I wanted to do, To come back and box at 135. I never got to fight at 135 before over 10 years of boxing. I never fought at 35, but the majority of MMA has been at 35."
