Jake Paul reveals stunning behind-the-scenes talks to fight Oleksandr Usyk after teasing shock world title shot
JAKE PAUL revealed he is in stunning behind-the-scenes talks to fight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk after teasing a world title shot.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer was called out by the heavyweight king with the two camps now in negotiations.
But, Usyk has challenged Paul to a bout in the MMA cage and not the boxing ring.
Paul is signed to the Professional Fighters League and eyes an MMA debut next year with Usyk among his options.
Accompanied by UFC legend Holly Holm, he said: "I want to be like Holly here and test my skills in the cage.
"That's something I'm super, super interested in and I think it would be a very, very big spectacle.
"Nate Diaz is still ducking but we need to find the right opponent, Usyk maybe."
Paul's promotional partner Nakisa Bidarian added: "Usyk has called out Jake multiple times in MMA.
"They've been in touch with us behind the scenes saying they want to do that in 2026. So something we definitely want to pursue."
Bidarian added that the PFL have shown interest in promoting the crossover fight.

But first Usyk, 38, returns on July 19 at Wembley Stadium to rematch Daniel Dubois, 27, who he beat in 2023.
And it will be for the undisputed heavyweight titles following the Ukrainian's two points wins over Tyson Fury, 36, last year.
Usyk has warned he has just two fights left and has called out UFC star Alex Pereira, 37, in the past.
Paul, 28, meanwhile faces former middleweight world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, 39, in his next bout on June 28 in California.
It comes off the back of his points win in November against Mike Tyson, who controversially made a comeback aged 58.
Paul moves back from to cruiserweight after moving up to heavyweight and revealed talks to fight WBC champ Badou Jack.
He said: "I'm super interested. I had Nakisa contact his team behind the scenes so those discussions are happening."
It comes after Jack, 41, told SunSport: "It's a money fight. It's an easy fight and it's a money fight So, why not?"

Former GB international Mosey extends Devils stay
Evan Mosey will return for a third successive campaign with Cardiff Devils in 2025-26, his fifth season in all with the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) 36-year-old American first played for the Devils between 2018 and 2020 and was part of the 2019 play-off championship winning the Covid-19 shutdown he played in Germany and France and then spent two seasons with Sheffield Steelers, before returning to the Welsh capital in a defenceman, Mosey also plays as a forward and was Devils' top defensive points scorer last season with eight goals and 31 assists in 66 games. "Evan is one of the most valuable players in the league because of his ability to play both forward and defence at the level he can in either position," said Cardiff managing director Todd Kelman."If we have an injury up front, he can slide into a top six role quite easily because he skates so well." Mosey also played for Nottingham Panthers and in Denmark before his first spell with the Devils, and won 42 caps for Great Britain before retiring from international hockey earlier this year."He is a leader for us, on and off the ice and brings a great work ethic every day, whether it is a game or training," said Kelman. "He is a huge part of this team, and I am pleased to get him back for another season."Mosey is the fifth player from last season's Devils roster to commit themselves to another year in year's play-off runners-up - now coached by Paul Thompson after the departure of Pete Russell - have also added a new signing in American defenceman Brandon Estes from Danish League side Odense Bulldogs.

‘I love the chaos' – Why Fabio Wardley's fight with Justis Huni won't even be the biggest night of his month
FABIO WARDLEY has the two most important nights of his life inside the next 10 DAYS. Ipswich's 30-year-old former recruitment worker and white-collar boxer headlines Portman Road on Saturday night against tough Australian Justis Huni. 3 And on June 16 his partner is scheduled to give birth to his first child, a bouncing baby girl. For anyone else, the nail-biting fortnight would be a crippling rollercoaster of emotions impossible to combine. But the Suffolk Puncher - who went on an Oleksandr Usyk sparring trip to Ukraine in 2018 when he barely knew how to throw a jab - is loving the chaos. The class act told SunSport: 'June 2025 is going to be a wild month I talk a lot about, for the rest of my life. 'I will be an old man in a rocking chair, telling people about it and wondering how we pulled it off. 'Everything has come together at the same time, it might seem a bit hectic but I wouldn't have it any other way. I thrive on it, I love the chaos.' Nine months ago, the 18-0-1 ace got the wonderful news he would be a dad for the first time. And a few weeks later he got the offer of a lifetime, to headline at his boyhood football club, a chance that some Olympic and world champions never get. 3 It seems like a psychological and logistical nightmare that would be destined for the divorce courts but Team Wardley is way too tight. 'If my little girl is anything like me, then she'll be chilled out and late, which will give me a little bit more time to decompress from the fight,' he grinned. Fabio Wardley faces off with Justis Huni ahead of his homecoming fight 'The flight date has been moved around a few times but my missus has been unbelievable. 'I have just promised to her that, as soon as Saturday night is over, I am all theirs. 'This week, though, is just my week. I need to be totally focused on me and then it's all on them.' Wardley - who cracked 2020 Olympic bronze winner Frazer Clarke's skull in their one-round rematch in October - somehow combines being a brutal boxer with being a lovely bloke and he insists that won't change with another win or a baby. 'I don't know how parenthood will affect me,' he said. 'I do plan to be the fun-dad though. I want mum to do the telling off. 'I think I will always be driven to push myself in everything, though. Everything has come together at the same time, it might seem a bit hectic but I wouldn't have it any other way. I thrive on it, I love the chaos. 'That's something just innate in me. And I am sure I will need to feed and stoke that fire regularly.' One thing Wardley would NEVER do, despite the baffling suggestion from some clumsy pundits, is fight his mentor and pal Dillian Whyte. After following all of Wardley's career, we were stunned to hear the idea even mooted and Wardley floored it. 'You're 100 per cent right, for once.' he laughed. 'From the second it would be announced, everybody who knows the sport and who knows us, would know it would be fake and not something I would ever do, because of the amount of love, respect and admiration I have for Dills. 'People go on about my story, white-collar, coming from nowhere, sparring Usyk. "But none of that is possible without Dillian at the beginning, giving me all of these opportunities. So I would never spit in his face and fight him. 'Even if all the sanctioning bodies called for the fight and somebody was silly enough to put all the money up, I would take a knee in the first round and give him the win.' 3

The Manchester-born CBS Sports presenter previously went by Kate Abdo before she tied the knot in September 2024 with Malik Scott - an American former heavyweight professional boxer. Their relationship was first revealed live on air by pundits Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards in December 2023 and since then, Kate, 43, and Malik, 44, have shared the occasional glimpse into their private lives for their social media followers. And their latest public appearance came at the Sofascore Player of the Season award ceremony, which was produced by CBS. The event - which took place in Zadar, Croatia - was directed by the multiple Emmy award-winning Pete Radovich - CBS's creative lead for their Champions League coverage. On the night, Kate wore a glamorous figure-hugging white dress and heels, while Malik donned a black and white chequered shirt, complimented by a black bowler hat. The boxing trainer - who became Deontay Wilder's head coach for the first part of his trilogy with Tyson Fury in 2021 - also had a cigar in hand and he posed for photos with Kate. Kate was joined by former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel to present the event. Also commanding attention on the night was glamorous Albanian TV presenter Eva Murati, who boasts over a million followers on Instagram.
