Tourist expects stunning panoramic view from his hotel window.. but leaves viewers speechless when he pulls back curtain

With the school holidays now just right around the corner, many Brits will be about to jet off on well-earned holidays abroad. 2 Ben expected a lovely panoramic view from his window Credit: TikTok/@bben9450 2 He was gobsmacked by how small the window is Credit: TikTok/@bben9450 When most of us go away, we long for a gorgeous sea view, or to be able to see the rolling countryside out of our hotel window. However, one holidaymaker didn't get quite what he was expecting on a recent break. Brad Ben, from Dublin, recently took a trip to Galway, and spent his time there in a modern looking hotel room. Sharing a clip of the inside of his room on TikTok, Ben used the audio from the famous Jet 2 advert, narrated by Hollyoaks' Zoe Lister, and featuring Jess Glynne's iconic hit Hold My Hand. It has become a popular trend in recent weeks to use the audio alongside a holiday 'fail'. In the video, Ben can be seen strutting across his hotel room, before opening up his thick floor length curtains. Where you would expect to see a large window, showing panoramic views, there was a teeny tiny square one, reminiscent of a ship's porthole. "Appreciating those views", he joked. The view has left people in hysterics, racking up an astronomical 239 million views on the video sharing platform. In a second video, Ben showed viewers what he could see through the window, placing his camera right up to the glass to show the Irish countryside opposite his hotel. People are only just realising who does the voice over for viral Jet2 advert From a distance, it looks like the window is a small painting on the wall. "She's giving Van Gogh", Ben Joked. TikTok users flooded the comments section of the video, to share their disbelief at the view. One person said: "Are you in jail?" Holiday packing tips Jemma Solomon, aka The Label Lady has got 5 packing tips to help you get organised for your next holiday. 1. Write a list Think about all the essentials you need to take with you; suncream, medicine, a few games for the kids, beach towels, and write everything in one list, which you can tick off as you add it to your suitcase. Or for complete ease, try Google's AI app - Gemini - which will create a list for you and help you not over pack. 2. Involve your kids Jemma said: 'My girls are getting older, they're 11 and nine, and they enjoy helping to pack. So I send them a list, and say 'this is what you need' and they follow the list. 'And then I give them a rucksack each - and say to them 'you can have whatever you want in there as long as it's not liquid', and they can take that on the plane. And that's their 'home away from home' items.' 3. Try a hack or two She said: "I think they all work, but for different reasons - and you've just got to pick the right one for your trip. "Rolling your clothes is really good to stop your clothes from getting creases. And if you're trying to get a lot of items into your case, it's a space saver. 'Packing cubes are great - for example, I'm going on holiday with my three kids and we're all using the same suitcase for our clothes. "These handy compartments let you separate your clothes, toiletries and tech into designated cubes, maximising luggage space by keeping your items compressed and neatly stacked. "I love taking them abroad with the family and it means my kids can easily take charge of their own items once we've arrived." 4. Decant beauty products Do you really need to take full-size bottles of shampoo and conditioner with you? The beauty industry has evolved so much, you can now buy shampoo bars or sheets - which are much lighter and smaller. Or, if you'll be popping to the shops when you're abroad, consider buying some items when you arrive. 5. Get organised before you come home Jemma said: 'When you repack on holiday [before coming home], the trick is to separate clean from dirty clothes. 'Also pack it in some form of order - so lights, darks, colours for items that need washing, or if you wash your clothes by person in the household, piles for each person. "Then you can put it straight into the washing machine. Do it straight away, don't leave it." Another said: "They have a nerve to put a curtain over that." A third person exclaimed: "I was not expecting this one bit." A fourth added: "I dunno what I was expecting but it deffo wasn't that window."

The Channel 4 soap, set in Chester, has amassed a legion of loyal fans, since it started in 1995 and now bosses want to say thank you. ‌ To celebrate Hollyoaks ' 30th anniversary, one lucky fan will get the chance to join the soap and play the latest victim of serial killer, Jez Blake, who is fast becoming one of the programme's most vile villains. ‌ Taking to TikTok, announcing the competition, Hollyoaks' Nadine Mulkerrin and Anna Passey, who play Cleo McQueen and Sienna Blake respectively, ask: "How much of a Hollyoaks superfan are you?" ‌ Hollyoaks' Rex actor Jonny Labey reacts to Clare twist and teases soap future They continue: "To celebrate Hollyoaks' 30th birthday, we are on the hunt for the ultimate Hollyoaks superfan. You will be invited to the village to film an exclusive scene but there is a killer twist. "Your character will be killed off by Hollyoaks' most notorious serial killer." ‌ Explaining how to enter, they conclude: "All you need to do is tell us why your Hollyoaks' biggest superfan and you might just be invited to the next stage of the competition." One viewer will be selected to become the latest victim of Jez, the latest in a long line of Hollyoaks serial killers." Bloodthirsty Jez, played by Jeremy Sheffield, struck again last month, claiming the life of Ian, a social worker who he believed knew way too much. ‌ The crazed killer, as viewers know, has thus far killed Dilly Harcourt (Emma Johnsey-Smith) and Abe Fielding (Tyler Conti) since rocking up in the village. His murder spree, however, dates back decades, with the twisted gardener keeping track of all his victims' names in a notebook which he keeps close. This week on Hollyoaks, it's Jez and John Paul's wedding day, but John Paul gets cold feet, while the walls continue to close in on the serial killer and his affair with Liberty. ‌ At the start of the year, fans were convinced Jez was going to try and kill his groom, John Paul, with one taking to X saying: "Need people to stop saying Jez is going kill John Paul because I can not handle that actually.

Hollyoaks' Rex actor Jonny Labey reacts to Clare twist and teases soap future

The Mirror spoke exclusively with Hollyoaks' Rex Gallagher actor Jonny Labey and Jacob Omari star Ethaniel Davy about the return of Clare Devine, their emotional storyline and what's ahead We got the lowdown on Hollyoaks villain Clare Devine from two co-stars working closely with actress Gemma Bissix currently on the Channel 4 soap. ‌ Clare made her big return months ago, as part of a dark trafficking storyline involving other characters and some of the teenagers in the village. Clare's sister Grace black and half-brother Rex Gallagher were also caught up in the drama, with us soon learning all about Rex's past and backstory. ‌ Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Rex actor Jonny Labey praised the move to explore what Rex faced when he was younger, and how it shaped him - leading to him taking a criminal path. Jonny discussed how fans finally saw why he was the way he was, calling him "a product of his environment". ‌ He added how Rex's "unexpected" romance with Ste Hay changed things, and gave Rex something to push for. That said, Jonny loves the drama his role brings, and was thrilled to get to work with co-star Gemma as she made her comeback. He wasn't the only one as newcomer Ethaniel Davy, whose character Jacob Omari took centre stage in the sad trafficking plot, also shared how much he loved working with the soap icon. Jonny shared: "Another long-lost sister! It's honestly the best working with Gemma. ‌ "She is such a joy, she brings such a bouncy energy to set. She gets stuck in to storylines, she holds no prisoners, she's just a ruthless and fantastic character. It really brings in that female power character to the show." Ethaniel agreed: "Gemma is so lovely. Clare can be sympathetic as well though. She's not just pure evil, she has a soft side and a bit of a backstory, and she has another side to her. Sometimes she's got the wrong intentions but for the right reasons." Actor Ethaniel was thrilled to rejoin the show recently, having first joined earlier in the year. He told us: "It's definitely a new experience for me. It's lovely, I've enjoyed it. ‌ "It's great and I am very grateful. We've just got to see how the storyline goes!" On the fans backing his character, he went on: "It was lovely because to get the role was a big thing, and then it was brilliant to keep going after a few months of not working. "I got called back, and so getting good feedback was great to hear." He also praised co-star Jonny for "showing him the ropes" and looking after him on set. ‌ As for Jonny, he welcomed the changes to his character as fans have gotten to see a different side to him. He told us: "You have got this thing with Rex where he is a product of his environment and unfortunately, even since doing the storyline, the sex trafficking storyline, it's way more common than people realise. "It seems like such a wild storyline but it's something that affects so many people in the UK, specifically the younger generation. It's that passed-on trauma. I'm glad we've got to see these sides to Rex now. "We can understand where it all comes form because when I first joined it was six months of arguments, fights and him being a villain. It was cool but he's got a nice undertone now. The love interest with Ste has taken him by surprise. ‌ "But it has shown him there is a way out from that life. I think that roundedness now is really beautiful to play. He still doesn't back down easy and he's not a push-around though. It is just a dream role honestly, to play a character like that. I have always wanted to play a troubled character with depth." His comments about Ste, and Rex turning his life around could be a hint at what's ahead with a happy future. But with Rex currently in prison, will he find a way back to the village?
