Girl, 3, found dead inside home as woman arrested on suspicion of murder after she was rushed to hospital
A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a three-year-old girl was found dead inside a home. Police were scrambled to the property in Leeds, West Yorkshire, over safety concerns for the youngster. 1 The horror unfolded in Leeds yesterday They discovered the young girl dead inside along with a woman requiring "urgent medical attention". The suspect was rushed to hospital where she remains in a stable condition. West Yorkshire Police confirmed she has been arrested on suspicion of murder. They also said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the tragedy. Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Atkinson, of West Yorkshire Police's Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: "I understand that such a tragic incident as this will cause shockwaves in the local community and that there will be speculation about what has happened. 'I would ask people to please let us investigate and if you do have any information that you think could assist our enquiries to get in contact with the investigation team.' Four people, including two teens, arrested in Manchester after drive-by shooting
West Yorkshire Police have made numerous arrests of men from Manchester following a horrific drive-by shooting at a garage earlier this summer that shocked the local community Four men have been arrested in Manchester following a horror drive-by shooting. West Yorkshire Police detectives investigating a shooting in which three men in Huddersfield were injured have now made multiple arrests. West Yorkshire Police said in a statement shared today that four men were arrested and remain in custody. "The males, aged 19, 18 , 20 and 21 were all arrested yesterday from the Greater Manchester area," the release said. "The 19 and 18-year-old were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder while the other two males were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences." Three men who were injured in the incident all continue to recover. I comes after detectives thanked people who came forward with information. In a July 29 statement, Detective Chief inspector James Entwistle who is leading the enquiry, said: 'I want to thank residents who have contacted us with information so far. We have had a strong response from communities who we know absolutely don't want to see exceptionally serious offending near their homes. 'I also want to reassure residents that we are continuing to follow a number of lines of enquiry and have recovered the vehicle believed to have been used in the incident. We remain determined to bring to justice those who are responsible. 'We also want to encourage anyone who can assist us investigate this very serious offence who has not come forwards as yet, for whatever reason, to please do so.' Anyone who has information about the incident, which took place at about 3pm on 22 July, is asked to speak with the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team on 101 or online at referencing Operation Pikemont. Police hunt for Nissan Juke after three injured in drive-by shooting in Huddersfield
Police have issued CCTV images of the car used in a drive-by shooting outside a garage which left three men injured. West Yorkshire Police's Homicide and Major Enquiry Team is investigating the incident near S Autos on Bulay Road in the Thornton Lodge area of Huddersfield on Tuesday. A 30-year-old man suffered a foot injury, a 36-year-old was shot in the knee and a 20-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to his arm and stomach just after 3pm. None of the injuries is believed to be life-threatening. Detectives are looking for a black Nissan Juke with red wing mirrors. They say the car has visible damage to its bonnet and sides and was travelling on false registration plates. Det Ch Insp James Entwistle, who is leading the investigation , said: 'This exceptionally dangerous act could quite easily have resulted in far worse consequences, and I want to reassure residents a full investigation is underway. "We are working today to understand the motive behind this attack and are conducting extensive enquiries in and around the location it occurred in. Every possible resource needed is being utilised." The car turned left from Nelson Street onto Bulay Road just before the shooting and then drove off onto Springdale Road and then Manchester Road. Local councillors have called for calm following the incident. Cllr Imran Safdar said he was "incredibly concerned"."My colleagues and I are appealing for calm," he added. "If anyone has any information that may help the investigation then please pass it on to the police as soon as possible."Cllr Jo Lawson added: "Ward councillors are asking for calm and to avoid speculation on social media. Our thoughts are with the three injured men and their families."

No-one else sought over bodies found at Leeds flat
Police have confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths of two people whose bodies were found at a flat in Leeds earlier this were called to a property on Dawlish Road in Osmondthorpe at about 18:35 BST on Tuesday after receiving a report of concern about a woman living in a flat bodies of a man and a woman were discovered inside the flat and both were found to have sustained injuries, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police woman was believed to be a 28-year-old who had been reported missing a short time earlier, while the man was thought to be a 32-year-old from Bradford, the spokesperson said.
