CS reviews I-Day preps on his first day in office
1 2 Lucknow: Among the first meetings he held on his first day as chief secretary, SP Goyal conducted a review of preparations for Independence Day celebrations on Friday. The CS said that on Aug 15, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will address the people of the state at 9 am. This speech, he said, should be broadcast live across the state, and the information department should put up LED screens in all offices where the speech can be viewed. He said that the flag hoisting ceremony should be telecast via Doordarshan and All India Radio. Besides, live telecast should also be ensured in coordination with Doordarshan Lucknow. Patriotic songs will be played through a sound system in front of the Vidhan Bhawan and Lok Bhavan. The CS said that an exhibition showcasing the progress of UP and glimpses of developed cities and villages across the state should be set up. The statues of late Chaudhary Charan Singh and late Govind Ballabh Pant, along with other statues, lawns and gardens in front of the Vidhan Bhawan should be cleaned on time. Orry is set to trade couture for cockroaches. The social media sensation will soon do the adventure-based reality show Khatron ke Khiladi. He says, 'Yes! Can you believe it? Me—Orry—on Khatron! I've always loved testing my limits, whether it's in fashion, fame, or fear. It's not just about stunts—it's about facing the stuff you hide from. I want to do that. In front of millions.' When asked if he's nervous, he shoots back, 'Nervous? I don't have time for all that. Between eating a cockroach and, say, walking into a party where I know no one knows me, I'd eat the cockroach. Vinfast VF7 The Vinfast VF7 is a compact 5-seater electric SUV offered in two variants -Plus and AWD. In terms of design, it features a shark-fin antenna, split LED headlights, wraparound LED taillights, a full-width LED light bar, and a roof spoiler. Additional highlights include flush-mounted door handles and two wheel size options - 19 inches for the Eco variant and 20 inches for the Plus variant. Moving inside, the VF7 features a dual-tone theme with brown and black accents. The Eco variant gets a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, whereas the Plus variant features a larger 15-inch display. Both variants get features such as a head-up display, over-the-air update capability, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and a panoramic sunroof. In terms of powertrain, the Eco version is equipped with a single electric motor that delivers 201 bhp and 310 Nm of torque. The Plus variant, on the other hand, uses a dual-motor setup producing 349 bhp and 500 Nm. Both versions are powered by a 70.8 kWh battery pack. On a full charge, the Eco is claimed to offer a driving range of up to 450 km, while the Plus version is rated for up to 431 km.
