Alexander Payne to Be Honored at Locarno Film Festival
The Locarno Film Festival will present its Honorary Leopard Award, Pardo d'Onore, to American filmmaker Alexander Payne on Aug. 15 during its 78th edition. Payne will also present his films 'The Descendants' (2011) and 'Nebraska' (2013) and take part in a public discussion with the festival audience. 'Nebraska' fame Alexander Payne to receive Honorary Leopard Award at Locarno Film Festival

Payne, the director of critical hits like "Election", "The Descendants", "Nebraska" and most recently "The Holdovers", will receive the award, officially called Pardo d'Onore, on August 15 at the film gala, held annually in Locarno, Switzerland. The Locarno Film Festival will run August 6 to 16.
