Cleveland Hopkins to allow non-travelers past security starting Aug. 11
Starting Aug. 11, you can reenact your favorite rom-com finale of kissing a sweetheart before they board a plane.
State of play: Cleveland Hopkins International Airport will allow non-ticketed guests to go beyond the security checkpoint for the first time in years, thanks to a new offering called the "Hopkins Hangout Pass."
The big picture: The program will offer travelers and their loved ones the opportunity for final farewells or a last-minute meal in the terminal.
It also means that adults can escort younger travelers or seniors who may need assistance to their gates.
How it works: Interested guests must apply for a pass between 24 hours and seven days in advance.
