Days of Our Lives Recap: Sami Returns to Grieve For John originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Days of Our Lives recap: Horton House: JJ and Julie wonder where in the world Chad is. JJ and Julie do a little investigating and come up empty. JJ promises to keep Julie posted as he heads off to the station. Horton Square: Johnny and Chanel are discussing Samantha Gene's quick visit. Just then, a distressed Felicity approaches saying Cat is missing. They take a seat, and Felicity says she hasn't seen her sister since the prior afternoon. Johnny and Chanel chat and she says she will deal with Felicity's issues. With that, Johnny heads off to see his mother. Chanel grabs Felicity and they head off to the police station. Marlena and John's Penthouse: Marlena emerges from her bedroom to find Samantha Gene in her living room. They are both in tears when they embrace. Sami says how sorry she is to have not been around for John's services. Sami is so terribly upset she didn't visit more and didn't give herself the chance to say all the things she should have said. She goes on to say how she wishes she had thanked John for all the things he did to support her as a child. Marlena says John didn't need her words as he already knew she loved him. Sami can't believe it as she hated him for loving her mother. He treated her like a daughter. Marlena says Sami WAS his daughter and he adored her. Sami hated when John called her mother Doc and now would give anything to hear it again. Marlena still pictures John in the room telling all his stories. Samantha Gene laughs and remembers how he was willing to help no matter what insane mess she got herself into. He was always made her feel loved and respected. Marlena says John never judged Sami and was so proud of the woman she became. Sami needs to pull herself together, so Johnny doesn't find her a mess. Marlena says they needed to cry and is happy they could do it together. Just then, Johnny arrives and embraces his mother. Marlena heads over to the hospital to give them some time. Johnny and Samantha Gene discuss his trial. She says it's good he got past his anger with his father so he can defend him. They move along to talking about Johnny's government name and how he was named 'John Roman' when they thought John was dead. She is thrilled he actually got to meet the man for whom he was named. Johnny wants to hang with his mother but needs to get ready for court. With that, he exits, leaving his mother in tears. Samantha Gene talks to the photos of John about how he loved his entire family. She thinks back to how she resisted his tough love but knows she needed it the most. Sami always thought she would have enough time to say what she needed to say but life is not fair. She thanks John for making her the woman she is today. Flashback: John comforting Samantha Gene in one of her many hours of need. University Hospital – Elevator: Cat is dreaming and saying 'stop it' out loud, when she sits up with Chad next to her. She can't believe they've been their all night and think their loved ones must be freaked out. With that, Cat takes off her shoes and says she's going to get them out of there. She quickly fails and the two share an adorable giggle. Suddenly, they hear Julie calling out. University Hospital – Lobby: Marlena runs into Julie who is freaked out about because Chad is missing. Just then, she spots an 'out of order' sign and the two wonder if he could be stuck in the elevator. They call out to him and Chad says 'they' are stuck but fine. Julie freaks out when she learns he's in there with Cat and tells her to keep her hands off Abigail's husband. Marlena probes Julie about Cat. Julie indicates wherever Chad is Cat is sure to follow. Marlena thinks it's far-fetched to believe Cat messed with the elevator and Julie relents. Julie says what Chad and Abigail shared was the kind of love she shared with Doug and Marlena had with John. Marlena can't imagine going on without John. She realizes she and Julie have both been through hell but knows they will find a way to go on. She knows Chad is in the same position but thinks it would be even more tragic for such a young man to grieve forever. Julie agrees but just doesn't want it to be Cat. Just then, Chanel and Felicity walk up and think it's odd Cat was at the hospital at all as she wasn't scheduled to work. Salem PD – Lobby: Chanel and Felicity arrive and tell JJ that Cat is missing. Chanel promises Felicity they will find her sister. JJ gets a call from Julie who tells them about Cat and Chad being trapped in an elevator. Days of Our Lives Recap: Brady Catches Sarah and Brady in an Embrace Endings The elevator repair man arrives saying it's fixed and everyone will be safe. Just then, Cat and Chad scream out for help. Chanel and Johnny reconnect and she explains about Cat and Chad being stuck in the elevator all night. Chanel asks about Johnny's visit with his mother, and he explains how they focused on his Grandpa John and how wonderful it was to have him in their lives. Samantha Gene continues talking to John's photo and specifically recalls being convicted of Franco's murder. Cue the flashback of Sami on death row. She asks John to protect her family from all of their enemies. In real-time, Sami tells John he will always live in her heart and 'that's a fact.' Days of Our Lives Recap: Sarah and Xander Find Common Ground and Then Implode originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Days of Our Lives recap: Sophia's Digs: Sophia puts on a fake baby bump (where did she get it?). Just then, Tate arrives and panics her. He gives her a couple of glow sticks as she couldn't go to the fireworks. He asks how she's feeling and backs away when he tries to feel her mid-section. Tate backs off and Sophia covers saying she's sick of people trying to touch her stomach all the time. He understands and asks Sophia if she wants to join the holiday celebrations, but she says she's all good. Tate leaves and Sophia reviews a story on her tablet about a newborn being left at the firehouse safe box. Sophia and Melinda connect, and she says she's getting used to all her body changes and thanks Melinda for taking her to the doctor. Melinda asks about the fake baby bump and Sophia says it worked on Tate. She says she's going to avoid him until the 'adoption' is done. Melinda says she's still ironing out details but everything will soon be all good. Melinda assures Sophia she made the right decision. She says in 14 days he will be up for adoption. Sophia cries and wonders if she has time to write her baby a letter so he will understand what she did. Horton House: Chad is all dressed up and says he won't be accompanying Julie and the kids to the symphony concert. He admits he hates classical music, and Julie tries to convince him otherwise. With that, he says it's time for him to go and exits. Outside, someone is clearly watching the front door. Julie calls Hope for a conversation about the necklace. She's thrilled to learn it will return the next day. Julie wants to know more about who bought the necklace, but Hope is clearly being evasive. She promises to try and be patient. Horton Square: Holly and Sarah meet up in the square. Holly informs Sarah about getting back together with Tate and they both giggle. They switch to talking about her getting accepted to the Sorbonne and how she still hasn't made a decision. Holly tries to distract her, but Sarah suddenly turns and sees Xander sitting at the table across the way. Cat is with Felicity eating ice cream and discussing her boyfriend Todd. Just then, Xander approaches with the stuffed dog and gives it to Felicity. He takes a seat and apologizes for blaming her for Sarah's allergic reaction. She calls him an ableist jerk and he agrees. Felicity takes a breath and forgives him for his reaction. That being said, she indicates she is too old for a stuffed animal and gives it back. Cat says it's time for them to go and Felicity hands Xander a glow stick and wishes him a happy 4th. With that, she and Cat exit. Sarah approaches and Xander says he was apologizing to Felicity. He feels silly for trying to give a teenaged girl a stuffed animal, but even Sarah has to admit it was a kind gesture. Xander is surprised by her kind words but says he felt so baldly about the way he treated Felicity. Xander asks about Victoria's sudden hatred of dogs and Sarah explains she's just been a wee fragile lately. He thinks being away from his daughter could have impacted her and Sarah agrees. Xander wonders if they are capable of having a civil conversation over dinner and Sarah agrees. Cat and Felicity run into Chad. Felicity heads out to grab cupcakes for him. They chat a bit about Felicity's fall off the balance beam when Chad calls Cat an adrenaline junky. Felicity returns freaked out because the cupcakes are gone because Chanel accidentally took them. She returns to the bakery to make him more which leaves Chad with an hour to kill to grab a drink with Cat. Brady Pub: Tate and Holly take a seat and shoot the breeze. Holly talks a bit about her time with Sarah and the weirdness that ensued with Xander. They switch to chatting a bit about the Senior Lake experience. She's thrilled he is coming but wonders what Sophia thinks since she's about to give birth. He says he didn't tell her yet but assumes he can get back in plenty of time (Oh Lord). Chad and Cat grab glasses of wine and he tells her why he hates classical music and didn't hang out with Julie and his children. Cat explains a bit about the classical music and Chad says he didn't take her for a band geek. She explains she was in the choir and then tells a funny story about her singing. She messes with a bracelet of Chad's which allows us to see a text from a person named, James Smith saying, 'meet tomorrow?' (Who? What?). She maybe doesn't see it (who knows) when Felicity returns with his cupcakes and Chad makes his exit. The Bistro: Sarah and Xander take a seat and discuss what's been going on with Victoria for the last month. They giggle over a cute story and Sarah agrees to send him a picture. Xander says they can't go on like this and Sarah agrees. Xander suggests they come to an informal arrangement where they both have her part of the time, and they don't have to see each other. Sarah worries about Xander being alone with their daughter. She knows Victoria is safe with him but thinks their daughter might not be able to effectively learn the difference between right and wrong. She needs him to say he's sorry for what he did to Philip and promise to never do anything like it again. Xander pretends he has no clue what Sarah is talking about and she begs him not to play games as they both know what he did. Xander looks through all over the table for the recording device, but Sarah says she just needs to know he has some remorse but won't tell anyone. Xander wishes he could believe her (why would he?) but self-righteous Sarah says it's rich that he thinks she's the one who can't be trusted (Pot, Kettle, Black). Xander doubles down and now they're back to square one. Endings Sarah tells Xander she's only trying to look out for their daughter. She thinks he is only looking out for his own best interests. Xander thinks she is the one being irrational which leads her to grab her purser and leave. Just then, Melinda walks in. He says it's now time to resort to less than legal ways to get him custody. Holly and Tate head out of the pub to the fireworks. Just then, they begin and the two enjoy the view and kiss. Sophia remains him her bedroom and watches the fireworks from her window on. She activates the glow stick and wishes herself a happy 4th. Cat asks Felicity if they should go check out the fireworks and then confronts her sister for lying earlier about the cupcakes. They both giggle about her deception. Chad arrives back at the Horton House with cupcakes in tow. Julie says the kids are in bed bus she's game for the sugar. Days of Our Lives Recap: Bo and Hope Celebrate Their Love originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Days of Our Lives recap: Horton House – Present Day: Hope serves Bo breakfast in bed. He asks about why things changed in the house, and she tells him about the fire. Julie new their grandparents would have wanted it that way. Horton House – Early Days: Alice and Tom are discussing a washing machine having gone on the fritz. He says he has good news and tells her about running into Addie at the hospital because she's pregnant (Julie!). Horton House – Present Day: Hope wishes her father were still alive so he could see them together. Bo is certain he can see them ad Hope agrees. She asks her beloved if he is ready to become a full-time grandpa. He says he is and they engage in a kiss. Bo and Hope come downstairs and he is amazed there was ever a fire. She says not everything was replaced such as the scrap book she made her grandparents for their anniversary and the letter she wrote him on the day of their wedding. Flashback: Hope giving her grandparents the scrap book. Flashback: Hope reciting the letter to Bo. Horton House – Present Day: Hope tells Bo about the time capsule they found after the fire. She says Ciara Alice was the one to open it. Hope was amazed by all the treasures and how it made everyone feels so much closer to her grandparents. Bo thinks you can almost see Doc and Mrs H standing there, watching over them. Bo is amazed he is a part of this amazing family with his sketchy history and working-class family. Hope stops him and says he was and always will be a rebel. Bo notes getting his ornament on the Horton tree and is relieved to learn they survived the fire. Flashback: Bo and Hope kissing after putting his ornament on the tree. Horton House – Present Day: Hope recalls when they added another ornament to the tree when Shawn Douglas was born. She looks back at pictures of her grandparents when she remembers telling her gran she was pregnant. Flashback: Hope tells Alice she's pregnant. Flashback: Alice gives them the ornament for their new child. Horton House – Early Days: Tom and Alice have returned from him reading the Christmas Story at University Hospital. They look at their perfect tree and the family ornaments decorating the branches. Alice can't believe they are grandparents and quotes her own grandmother by saying their grandchildren are their pots of gold. Horton House – Present Day: Hope thinks back to when Julie started dating her father and how jealous she was. Alice helped her see the goodness in her half-sister and how good she was with her father. Bo sees a lot of Mrs H in Hope, and she wonders if she will help her grandchildren get out of tight spots the same way her grandmother helped them. Bo full-heartedly believes she will. Flashback: Alice, Hope and Bo on one of their many adventures. Horton House – Present Day: Hope notes how quiet the house is and Bo says he cleared folks out so they could be alone. He sends her off to put on something special (which he bought for her) as he has a celebration planned. Horton House – Early Days: Alice trips over one of Steven's toys. Tom is right by her side and says he had Bill and Marie take the grandchildren to the movies. They will be gone for about two hours which will give them time to turn the lights down and get romantic. With that, they kiss. Horton House – Present Day: Hope descends the stairs in a beautiful gown to find her beloved all suited up. She looks around and sees the living room has been set up for the occasion of their reunion. She is so grateful to have Bo back. He says he will never leave her side again. Bo wants to make Hope his wife again and she is in full agreement. With that, he takes a knee and asks his Fancy Face to marry him all over again and she says yes. Flashback: Hope and Bo are alone and speaking wedding vows from the heart. Bo puts the ring on Hope's finger. She says it's just like their love, a perfect circle that's never ending. Horton House – Present Day: Bo declares his love for his Fancy Face and takes her to be his wife now and forever. Hope declares her love for Bo today, tomorrow and always. Bo presents a ring box to Hope where she finds her mother's wedding ring. He places it on her finger, and she pronounces them married. With that, they kiss and embrace. Bo says he has one more surprise and pulls out a picture of the Fancy Face. Hope notes it belongs to Shawn Douglas. Bo says their son doesn't have much use for it at this moment and it is once again their ticket to sail away. Flashback: Bo and Hope the Fancy Face where they declare their love for one another. Horton House – Present Day: Hope can't believe Bo wants them to leave Salem so soon. He thinks living life as an adventure has always been their best look. Bo continues saying they need to live each moment as if it's their last. Hope gets on board thinking about all the folks around the world they can see. She is on board as long as they can return to Salem quite often. Bo agrees and the decision is made. Horton House – Early Days: Alice remarks to Tom how quiet the house is. She is surprised to note how she misses the chaos. Alice wonders if they should sell the house and move someplace smaller. Tom wants nothing of the sort, and they agree to stay put. They agree 545 Sycamore Lane will be the Horton House forever and generations to come. With that, they kiss. Horton House - Present Day: Bo thinks they should follow in Doug and Julie's footsteps by retiring at the Horton House. Horton Square: Bo and Hope sit next to Tom and Alice's plaque. They think about how hard it always is to say goodbye. Flashback: Bo and Hope's adventures in and out of Salem throughout the years (such great flashbacks).
