Tamer Hosny collaborates with Al-Shami in new song

Egyptian star Tamer Hosny and Syrian artist Al-Shami released a new song titled Maleket Gamal El-Kon (Miss Universe) on Saturday, which is currently number 1 on Trending for Music on YouTube. Written and composed by the duo, the track has garnered over 3.4 million views on the platform in just one day. The romantic song and its accompanying music video mark the first collaboration between the two artists. In the music video, each artist charmingly flirts with a girl while singing romantic lyrics. The Egyptian pop singer, songwriter, and actor began his career in 2002. He first gained recognition through his mixtape collaborations with Egyptian star Sherine. Since then, Hosny has become one of the biggest pop stars in Egypt and the wider Arab world, releasing over 13 top-selling albums. His music has been featured in several television series and is performed extensively across the region. Hosny has collaborated with international artists, including Snoop Dogg and Shaggy. He also collaborated with Arab musicians, such as Rim Banna, Latifa, Souad Massi, and Ramy Sabry. In 2017, he became the first Arab artist to have his handprint and footprint immortalised at Hollywood's iconic TCL Chinese Theatre. Al-Shami, 22, released his debut song One Day in 2021. He then rose to fame in 2023 with his track Ya Leil W Yal Ein, which amassed 257 million views on YouTube. Despite his young age, the Syrian artist has several other tracks that exceeded 100 million views on the platform, including Sametek Sama, Befdiki, Sabran, Wein, Dwali, and Doctor. Al-Shami won the Best Song award at the 2024 Joy Awards for Ya Leil W Yal Ein. At the end of 2024, Al-Shami received four trophies from the Billboard Arabia Music Awards: Top Levantine Song, Top Indie Arab Song for his track Sabra, Best Levantine Artist, and Artist of the Year – Levantine Dialect -- making him one of the most celebrated artists. Tamer Hosny & Hana El Zahed's ‘Restart' Hits Cinemas on May 29th

Directed by Sarah Wafik and written by Ayman Bahgat Kamar, 'Restart' features a comedic take on digital fame. Apr 15, 2025 Egyptian singer-actor Tamer Hosny and actress Hana El Zahed are reuniting on screen for their latest romantic comedy 'Restart', which is set to premiere in cinemas across Egypt on May 29th, 2025. The film, originally scheduled for release during Eid al-Adha, was pushed back to allow additional time for post-production. Directed by Sarah Wafik and written by lyricist and screenwriter Ayman Bahgat Kamar, 'Restart' marks the third collaboration between Hosny and El Zahed following the box office hit 'Behabek' (2022) and the earlier television series 'Farq Tawqit' (2014). The film is produced by TH Production, Hosny's own production company. 'Restart' follows the story of Mohamed, a phone repair technician, and Afaf, an aspiring social media influencer, as they join forces in an attempt to achieve viral fame. Their chaotic journey is amplified by the involvement of their equally unconventional families and a flamboyant talent agent known as 'the Joker.' What begins as a comedic pursuit of internet stardom soon turns into a deeper exploration of personal values, relationships, and the meaning of success in a digital age. The ensemble cast also features Bassem Samra, Mohamed Tharwat, Essam El Sakka, and emerging actor Said Osama. As with many of Hosny's past projects, the film includes original music composed and performed by the star himself. A new duet with Hana El Zahed is expected to be released in parallel with the film's launch. This is Hosny's fourth cinematic collaboration with director Sarah Wafik, following their previous work on 'Tag' (2024), 'Mesh Ana' (2021), and 'Omar & Salma 3' (2012). Wafik's continued directorial partnership with Hosny has been a defining element of his recent film career, often blending romantic plotlines with comedic and musical elements.

Styled Archives: Tamer Hosny's Coolest & Kitschiest Moments

King of repping unibrows, chest hair, and buttoned-down shirts. If you didn't have a crush on him, then you probably knew someone who did. Tamer Hosni to Egypt is what Zach Efron is to, well, the world. There's an undeniable charm to his smile; a certain charisma he carries, and one that has, since 2002, translated into his entire body of work; encompassing both music and cinema. Throughout his years in the spotlight, the Egyptian megastar has had his fair share of moments of fashion fame; whether cool or kitsch, we'll leave that up to you. One thing remains certain, however, and it's that we ate it up. For this week's Styled Archives, we're turning back time to an era defined by upturned collars, buttoned-down button-ups, and most importantly, that classic Tamer Hosny gaze. Portrait | Late '90s Donning a classic black vest and white combo, teenage Hosny looked every bit the bad boy in this pre-fame era portrait. Oh, and, peep the shark tooth necklace. With Sherine Abdelwahab on the cover of 'Free Mix Vol.3' | 2002 Ah, the relic that started it all; you have the classic unbuttoned denim shirt, a la Hosny, the marvelous unibrow, and that certain look in his eyes that tells you this is a man that knew where his future would take him. With Egyptian actor Ahmed al-Fishawi during the premiere of the Egyptian film Al-Hassa Al-Sabaah | 2005 Wearing a glittering pinstripe suit paired with a causal buttoned-down printed white shirt, Hosny was not beating the chest hair allegations. But you know what? Ate. With Egyptian Actress Zeina at the 'Captain Hima' Film Premiere | 2008 In a checkered light blue shirt and minimalist white cap, Hosny celebrated the premiere of his 2008 hit movie alongside co-star Zeina. In 'Enaya Bethebbak' Music Video | 2006 Armed with nothing but his guitar, a light denim straight fit pair of jeans, a Y2K aviator, and a v-neck long-sleeved t-shirt, Hosny gave a performance that would resonate with an entire generation. 'Ha'ish' Album Photoshoot | 2009 The Godfather could never. Perhaps one of the very first times in modern history that Hosny did not leave his shirt unbuttoned, this photoshoot showed the Egyptian popstar in a different light, looking like the main love interest out of a mafia romance. In 'Arrab Habibi' | 2004 In a few decades, when interpretations on Y2K fashion vary and historians begin to argue, this music video will solve any and all questions. Throughout the 5-minute duration of 'Arrab Habibi', Hosny dons everything from tank tops to oversized suits all the way to multi-coloured print sweatshirts. With 'Omar w Salma' Co-Star Mai Ezz El Din | 2011 Looking like a killer power couple, Hosny and Ezz El Din were emblematic of an era in Egyptian cinema…though not exactly when it came to what 'romanc'e should look like.
