Morgan Wallen's ‘I'm the Problem' & ‘What I Want' With Tate McRae Launch Atop Billboard's Country Charts
Morgan Wallen's 37-song collection I'm the Problem blasts in atop Billboard's Top Country Albums chart (dated May 31), as well as the all-genre Billboard 200. The set (which contains one more track than on his previous LP, 2023's One Thing at a Time) grants the singer-songwriter from Sneedville, Tenn., his fourth and third leader, respectively. In its first week (May 16-22), I'm the Problem earned 493,000 equivalent album units in the United States, according to Luminate — the biggest week by that metric of 2025. The set's sales were helped by its availability on vinyl across five variants. (One Thing at a Time wasn't released on vinyl until its fourth week on sale.) On the streaming-, airplay- and sales-based Hot Country Songs chart, Wallen boasts 37 tracks — the entirety of I'm the Problem — as he breaks his own record for the largest one-week share of the survey, surpassing the 35 that he logged on the March 18, 2023, chart when One Thing at a Time debuted at No. 1 on Top Country Albums and the Billboard 200. 'What I Want,' featuring pop star Tate McRae, Wallen's first collaboration with a female artist, rockets in atop Hot Country Songs, marking his 11th chart-topper and record-extending eighth No. 1 arrival. As for the 21-year-old McRae from Calgary, Alberta, she scores her first Hot Country Songs No. 1 with her rookie entry in the genre. 'What I Want' launches with 31.2 million official U.S. streams, 3.9 million airplay audience impressions and 2,000 sold. As previously reported, the collaboration roars in at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100. With five debuts in the Hot County Songs top 10, I'm the Problem has generated 13 top 10s (including three leaders), the most top 10s ever from a single album. Wallen infuses the entire top 10 on the May 31 chart, also a first, besting the nine that he logged on March 18, 2023. Below 'What I Want' (which is being promoted to pop and adult radio), 'Just in Case,' Wallen's current single at country radio, hops 3-2 on Hot Country Songs, rebounding to its best rank. The rest of his top 10 monopoly: 'I'm the Problem' (2-3, following a week at No. 1 in February); 'I Got Better' (No. 4, debut); 'Superman' (No. 5, where it flew in a week earlier); 'Love Somebody' (6-6, after a week at No. 1 last November); 'I Ain't Coming Back,' featuring Post Malone (8-7, after hitting No. 3); '20 Cigarettes' (No. 8, debut); 'Kick Myself' (No. 9, debut); and 'Eyes Are Closed' (No. 10, debut). Wallen ups his career top 10 total on Hot Country Songs to 40. Dating to his first week in the tier, on the chart dated May 12, 2018, with 'Up Down' (featuring Florida Georgia Line), his 40 top 10s are almost twice the amount of runner-up Luke Combs (21 in that span). Kenny Chesney Is One Hit Away From Making History
Kenny Chesney has spent decades racking up dozens of hits in the country world, all of which have collectively made him a true superstar. He has long ranked among the most successful names in the history of the genre, and he never stays away from the Billboard charts for long. The icon collects a new hit on multiple rankings this week. As he returns alongside one of country music's hottest newcomers, he inches closer to a milestone that only a handful of superstars will ever come close to. Chesney joined Meghan Moroney on her new single, "You Had to Be There." The tune is expected to serve as the lead single from her forthcoming third album. The track reaches three of Billboard's country-only tallies this week. As it arrives, it pushes Chesney closer to a major milestone. "You Had to Be There" is Chesney's ninety-ninth hit on both the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts. The track opens at No. 23 on the radio list and No. 25 on the all-consumption ranking, which blends sales, streaming activity, and radio airplay to show which country tunes are the most popular in the U.S. If Chesney can collect just one more win, he will reach 100 smashes on these two tallies. He's all but certain to make it to that number at some point — whether in a few weeks or years from now — as he remains one of the top hitmakers in the genre. "You Had to Be There" narrowly breaks onto the Country Digital Song Sales chart as well, launching at No. 15. It also earns Chesney his milestone sixtieth placement on the Hot 100. On that tally, which doesn't look at any one form of consumption or any one style, the collaboration opens at No. 86. Included in Chesney's 99 Hot Country Songs wins are fifty-five top 10s and twenty-three No. 1s. The singer-songwriter claims the most rulers of all time on the Country Airplay list with 33. He beats both Tim McGraw and Blake Shelton, who jointly sit in second place with 29 apiece.

Jelly Roll Doubles Up On The Country Chart With A Pair Of Collabs
Jelly Roll has found success on Billboard charts dedicated to several different genres throughout the years. The Grammy nominee has landed hits on tallies focused on hip-hop, rock, and, most prolifically, country. This week, he ups his career total once more, as two different tunes, both collaborations with other artists and not fronted by him, appear on the most competitive country ranking in the United States. Both 'Hard Fought Hallelujah' with Brandon Lake and 'Amen' with Shaboozey debut on the Hot Country Songs chart this frame. That tally ranks the most consumed tracks in the U.S. country space, blending sales, streams, and radio attention to determine which compositions fans are engaging with the most — not just buying, streaming, or hearing on the radio individually. Though each of those elements has its own list, the Hot Country Songs ranking brings them together. With these two new arrivals, Jelly Roll has now collected a total of 20 hits on the Hot Country Songs tally throughout his career. Between the two duets, 'Hard Fought Hallelujah' is the bigger success. The tune narrowly misses out on becoming a top 10 smash, as it launches at No. 12 on the Hot Country Songs chart. Meanwhile, 'Amen' opens at No. 23. 'Amen' debuts on a handful of Billboard lists this week, most of which are centered around country. The track appears on the deluxe edition of Shaboozey's breakout album Where I've Been Isn't Where I'm Going. The collaboration starts at No. 1 on the Country Digital Song Sales chart and takes the No. 2 spot on the all-genre Digital Song Sales tally, thanks to 6,500 pure purchases (per Luminate). It also places at No. 77 on the Hot 100. 'Hard Fought Hallelujah' has been present on a number of Billboard rankings for weeks. It started as a solo cut by Lake, and as it picked up steam, Jelly joined in. Now, his version is the most successful, so he earns official credit. The track currently appears on several general consumption lists, including the Hot 100, Streaming Songs, and Digital Song Sales rankings. Its appeal extends beyond country, though it's already a huge win in that arena. 'Hard Fought Hallelujah' shows its cross-genre popularity by also appearing on multiple rock rankings, even leading the Rock Digital Song Sales chart once again this frame.

Morgan Wallen Fills Half Of The Top 10 On One Chart Thanks To His New Hit
In just a few weeks, Morgan Wallen will release his hugely-anticipated full-length I'm the Problem. The album, which is set to feature dozens of tracks, will likely become not just the biggest debut in recent memory, but by the time 2025 wraps, it could very well be named the most successful release of the year. The project has already produced half a dozen singles and one promotional cut — more than most efforts generate throughout their entire promotional cycle. This week, as a new collaboration arrives on the Billboard charts, many of Wallen's newest tracks appear inside the highest tier on one tally, once again showcasing the country musician's massive commercial appeal. Wallen's latest collaboration with Post Malone, 'I Ain't Coming Back,' opens at No. 3 on the Hot Country Songs chart. It's yet another smash for the two musicians on Billboard's ranking of the most consumed country tracks in the U.S. The duet — their second together — isn't even the highest-rising win on the list for Wallen at the moment, and it's just one of many top 10s from the country powerhouse. As 'I Ain't Coming Back' arrives, Wallen claims half of all the spots inside the top 10 on the Hot Country Songs chart. 'I'm the Problem,' the title track and a recent single from the upcoming album, lifts from No. 3 to No. 2, as the latest offering opens in third place. Three more Wallen cuts — 'Just in Case,' 'I Had Some Help' (also with Malone), and 'Love Somebody' — dip slightly, landing at Nos. 5, 6, and 7, respectively. Only 'I Had Some Help' is not featured on the forthcoming collection. Instead, it served as the lead single from Malone's first country project, F-1 Trillion. In just one more week, the track will celebrate a full year on this ranking. Wallen even manages to fill two additional spots just outside the top 10 on the Hot Country Songs chart. 'I'm a Little Crazy' drops from No. 9 to No. 12 after previously peaking at No. 5. Meanwhile, 'Smile' climbs to No. 15, though it has previously peaked at No. 2. Both cuts are also slated for inclusion on I'm the Problem. With the arrival of 'I Ain't Coming Back,' Wallen earns his thirty-fourth top 10 hit on the Hot Country Songs chart. That's nearly half of the 86 tracks he's sent somewhere on the list, which blends sales, streaming activity, and airplay data to show what country tracks America is listening to. The tune is an even bigger winner on two other style-specific rankings, as it leads the Country Streaming Songs tally and opens in second place on the Country Digital Song Sales roster.
