Cutter & Squidge's Kilo cookie pie is the ultimate indulgent Father's Day gift

Give your dad the perfect indulgent gift this Father's Day with Cutter & Squidge's latest launch – the giant cookie pie that weighs a kilo and combines cookies and brownies in one With Father's Day fast approaching – it lands on June 15 this year, in case you need to add it to your calendar – now is the perfect time to start thinking about your presents. Instead of the usual whisky and knitwear, why not give your dad something a little bit different that he can really indulge in? This year we're planning on gifting Cutter & Squidge's Father's Day One Kilo Cookie Pie, which is the perfect luxurious treat for father figures everywhere. Priced at £29.99 it won't break the bank, and its huge one kilo size (yes, really!) means it'll last him much longer than a typical box of chocolates. Perfect for parents with a serious sweet tooth, the luxurious dessert combines a cookie and brownie into one indulgent pie, with a giant vanilla cookie crust that's filled with chocolate brownie. It's also smothered in salted caramel and topped with a rich chocolate ganache, with crispy milk and dark chocolate pearls scattered on the top. If you want something that's unique to your dad, this Personalised Cookie Cake from Not on the High Street is £25 and can be decorated with a message of your choice with up to 40 characters to play with. It features two layers of cookie sandwiched between a filling of your choice, with flavours including Biscoff, Kinder and classic chocolate. For something more traditional, Hotel Chocolat's Everything Sleekster is £29.95 and can be purchased in a Father's Day sleeve to make it special for the occasion. It contains 27 of the brand's most iconic chocolates including white, dark and milk, with filled flavours like praline, sticky toffee, Eton mess and billionaire's shortbread. However the One Kilo Cookie Pie is a brand new addition to Cutter & Squidge, and is available to be delivered between June 2 and June 22, so you can make sure it arrives ready for your Father's Day celebrations. Due to its hefty size you're not expected to manage to eat it all in one go, which is why it also has a shelf life of up to seven days when stored in an airtight container. That means you might even get to sneak a slice for yourself if your dad is struggling to finish it off in time. You can shop the Cutter & Squidge Father's Day One Kilo Cookie Pie for under £30 now.

How to save money on chocolate We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar. Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs... Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars. Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere. Websites like let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal. Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced. They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged. Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar. So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

Creepy Edinburgh Superdrug worker stalked colleague after 'love at first sight' meeting

Luigi Clavo worked as a sales assistant alongside the colleague and believed it was "love at first sight". An Edinburgh Superdrug worker has been found guilty for stalking after becoming 'infatuated' with a female colleague - using the shop's beauty card system to obtain her phone number. In October 2024, Luigi Clavo was working as a sales assistant at the Princes Street branch alongside the colleague and believed it was " love at first sight," Edinburgh Sheriff Court heard. ‌ Clavo, 39, began working with the woman on October 19, 2024, and described having normal conversations at the end of her first day. At the end of the shift, he asked her to meet up for a coffee and gave her his number. The woman said she 'would think about it' and the following day, Clavo walked to Hotel Chocolat on Frederick Street after learning she had a second job at the speciality chocolate shop, reports Edinburgh Live. Clavo, of Juniper Green, greeted the woman and asked her to call him about going to coffee together. The following weekend they worked the same shift at Superdrug and went for a meal in what was described as a 'pleasant evening together'. The following day, Clavo visited Hotel Chocolat again for coffee before the woman entered Superdrug later that day and asked Clavo not to contact her again. The following day, October 27, Clavo knowingly accessed Superdrug's beauty card system to obtain the victim's personal details before calling her and confessing his 'infatuation' with her. The victim sounded 'worried' and asked Clavo where he had obtained her phone number but he did not reveal his methods as he knew he would be sacked on disciplinary grounds. Clavo went back to Hotel Chocolat for a conversation on November 9, confused at why the woman had requested he shouldn't contact her again. Clavo also waited outside the shop to offer her a necklace he had bought for her. The Italian national appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, April 22, having pleaded guilty to a single charge of stalking and engaging in a course of behaviour causing fear and alarm. ‌ In mitigation, his solicitor admitted Clavo was guilty of a "serious matter" but said his client had "learnt his lesson" and simply wanted an explanation as to why he was asked not to contact the victim. Sheriff Sheehan said Clavo should have known not to access Superdrug's system to get his colleague's details and sentenced him to a two-year non-harassment order and £600 fine. Clavo was told he is not to contact the victim directly or indirectly and is refrained from visiting Hotel Chocolat on Frederick Street. Clavo admitted causing the victim fear and alarm by attending her work, giving her unwanted gifts, sending her an unwanted email and making an unwanted phone call.
