EXCLUSIVE 'Newly-single' Orlando Bloom enjoys cocktails at hotel pool during boys' day out with Leonardo Di Caprio and Tom Brady before Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's Venice wedding - after Katy Perry 'split'

Newly-single Orlando Bloom enjoyed a swim, cocktails and lunch during a lads' day out at the Hotel Cipriani before Jeff Bezos 's wedding on Friday night. Partying at the hotel's pool with Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Brady, Scooter Braun and Edward Enninful, the group ordered tequila, did laps of the pool and stayed under the radar. American footballer Tom Brady, 47, swam multiple laps of the pool whilst wearing a pair of goggles. Whilst Leonardo DiCaprio, 50, kept a low profile whilst wearing a cap at the bar. Keeping a now-single Orlando, 48, company, the boys at the lunch seemed in very good spirits. The Lord Of The Rings actor later donned a tux ready for the 'wedding of the century', which went ahead on Friday evening (Pictured on his way to the wedding later in the day) Hotel Cipriani is one of Venice's most luxury hotels. Although the boys are not staying at the hotel and instead staying with other wedding guests at the five-star Gritti Palace, they visited on Friday for a relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city and its festivities. The hotel is known as the only one Brad Pitt will stay in when he visits Venice, with Michelin starred food, the biggest swimming pool in Venice and views of San Giorgio, the island where Bezos hosted his wedding yesterday. Costing £2,500 a night, 30 of Jeff's wedding guests are currently staying there this weekend. The boys' lunch came just hours before they arrived at the wedding of the year. Having reportedly split from his wife Katy Perry, Orlando has been enjoying himself in the Italian city this week surrounded by his mates. The pair are reportedly said to have called it quits after nine years together, six of which they were engaged, and welcoming a child, Daisy. Fresh from his split with the popstar, the Lord Of The Rings actor was seen mingling with many guests during the first night of celebrations – including Meghan Markle's stylist Jamie Mizrahi. NFL legend Tom Brady, 47, was too soaking in the Venetian sun before the wedding with his celebrity friends at Hotel Cipriani (Pictured right alongside Usher headed to the Bezos wedding) He has also been seen chatting with Kim Kardashian. Katy, 40, herself is facing 'uncertain' times and 'disappearing fame' following her poor-performing album 143, while her recent trip to space with Blue Origin drew significant backlash. And despite being close friends with bride Lauren Sanchez, has not been seen at the wedding, though the bride said she 'missed' her in a message of support on Instagram hours ahead of the nuptials. Katy was one of six passengers aboard the all-female 11-minute Bezos excursion to the edge of space which proved to be controversial because of its cost and environmental impact. She donned a blue jumpsuit and carried a small daisy in honour of her daughter with her for the exorbitant journey many branded as 'tone deaf' and 'embarrassing'. Katy used the opportunity to plug her world tour then sang to her fellow passengers in space and kissed the ground upon her return to earth. The Teenage Dreams singer's Lifetimes Tour has also seen an onslaught of online scrutiny, poor ticket sales and cancelled dates. She is currently in Australia for her latest string of shows while Orlando mixed with the A-list stars at the wedding.

Luxury Italian hotel where George Clooney got married enters a new era

A pantheon of names is associated with the famed glamour of Venice, Italy, from writers such as Ernest Hemingway, who haunted her alleyways searching for inspiration, to the modern celebrities photographed riding sleek water taxis on her canals. But few are as synonymous with La Serenissima's allure as hospitality legend Giuseppe Cipriani, founder of the famed Harry's Bar, creator of the Bellini cocktail and the man behind a legendary hotel bearing his name. On the island of Giudecca, just across the way from San Marco, is the Hotel Cipriani, a Belmond hotel that has been loved since the mid-20th century for its privacy, unwavering dedication to impeccable style and service, and of course, the biggest saltwater swimming pool in Venice. It's also been a haven for the truly famous, including George and Amal Clooney, who held their star-studded wedding at the hotel. Now it enters a new era. Under the auspices of Belmond and American starchitect Peter Marino, the hotel is undergoing a renovation, with the first phase unveiled in May. Marino's assignment was to preserve what made the hotel such an attractive sophisticate, while meeting the needs of modern luxury travellers. As chairman of the Venetian Heritage Foundation, Marino used his understanding of Venice to create a new arrival experience with a light-filled double-height lobby while maintaining Cipriani's original and beloved reception area. Loading This arrival is coupled with 13 redesigned rooms including two master suites, Serenissima and Laguna, designed as Venetian apartments featuring a dining room, library and salon apiece. He's also created a new look for 11 suites and junior suites with private balconies overlooking the Casanova Gardens. The renovation marks a significant milestone for the Venetian icon, Hotel Cipriani's general manager Thomas Schwall says: 'We look forward to this exciting new chapter that will set the tone for decades to come.'

The Best Hotels in Italy: 20 Editor-Vetted Stays Around the Country

The journey is as important as the arrival, they say, and when applied to the home and garden of earthly delights that is Hotel Cipriani, it means something. A vintage motor launch in varnished cedar, the last word in 1970s Venetian nautical chic, awaits to whisk you from the terminal or the crowds of St. Mark's Square to the hotel, where charming doormen greet guests with a personal flourish. Unlike Venice's other luxury hotels that have been poured into existing historic palaces, fighting against a corset of strict regulations, Hotel Cipriani was custom-built in 1958 with plenty of elbow room, on three acres of land on the Giudecca, then owned by Guinness nobility. The daughters, Honor and Brigid, were fans of Harry's Bar, a small paneled den in the heart of Venice, and invited its owner, Giuseppe Cipriani, to think big and create a hotel in partnership with them. The result is a place that is still unrivaled for that spirit of urbane hedonism; for generous and attentive service that never bends; for an easy atmosphere of peace and sanctuary alongside a sense of clubhouse discretion and rarefied exclusivity. In the summer, when the canals in Venice get stinkier, Hotel Cipriani offers more than a breath of fresh air. The grounds are large enough for tennis courts, a kitchen garden, a vineyard, and a spa within the orange blossom-scented Casanova gardens, where the eponymous lady-killer wooed the neighboring nunnery. They are a haven for birds and Roberta the tortoise, who, unfortunately, hasn't been seen since a recent acqua alta. Meanwhile, around the showpiece swimming pool, the beating heart of the hotel (and a happy accident of scale, because the architect got his meters and feet mixed up), sunbathing is raised to the level of theatre, with endless opportunities for people-watching around the travertine-marble terrace. Here, Hollywood moguls cement film deals in loud voices while Venetian aristocrats settle into cabanas for the day, spraying complimentary Evian like Chanel No. 5 and addressing the staff as extensions of their family. Sadly, the barman Walter Bolzonella, famous for the Buonanotte cocktail he dreamed up with George Clooney, is retired. The capable Riccardo Semeria has stepped into his shoes, while Riccardo Canella, multi-Michelin superstar chef of Noma fame, takes the culinary helm. He understands that the essence of Italian style is to keep things simple, natural, and familiar, yet still fresh and inventive. This is the hallmark of the Hotel Cipriani. Others have tried to emulate its timeless Italian chic. But glamor is an atmosphere, something harder to bottle than an Acqua di Parma scent. It is synonymous with this hotel, with its to-die-for view of the Doge's Palace and St. Mark's, sequestered on the edge of an insignificant island on a lagoon lapping the Adriatic Sea. —Catherine Fairweather

Venice's Hotel Cipriani where George Clooney stayed unveils first results of makeover

Hotel Cipriani in Venice, Italy, unveiled the results of the initial phase of a major renovation led by architect Peter Marino when it reopened for the summer season in May this year. , including George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, Sophia Loren and Elizabeth Taylor. The original design of the hotel, which first opened in 1958, paid homage to the history of Venice. Marino, chairman of the non-profit organisation Venetian Heritage, wove three artistic eras into the redesign: the grandeur of Old Venice, the mid-century dolce vita glamour of its early years, and an infusion of contemporary art and design. The 11 additional suites, overlooking the Casanova Gardens, boast private balconies and refined interiors.
