In honor of Dancing with the Stars' 20th anniversary, Hough, 36, shared a lengthy Instagram post, reflecting on her journey with the franchise that she joined at 18 years old. Hough detailed her highs and lows on the show, including having a cyst burst on live television. 'I ended up winning my first two seasons, had a cyst burst on live TV (yep, that happened),' she wrote. Reflecting more on her experience, Hough described her journey as "incredibly magical, unpredictable and emotional." 'It's not just about dancing, it's about courage," she wrote. "It's about what happens when you put yourself out there live and exposed in front of the world but held with so much care. We've all been changed by it." She also said she's grateful that her role on the show has come full circle, from professional dancer 'fresh out of Utah with $2000 in my pocket after training in London' to "co hosting the show that quite literally raised me. I've gotten to experience nearly every role this show has to offer, and each one has taught me something new.' In the comment section, Hough's brother and DWTS judge, Derek Hough, praised his sister's strength for not missing a beat while dealing with a cyst. Healthline describes a cyst as 'a small pocket of tissue often filled with fluid or pus.' John Hopkins Medicine says 'a cyst that ruptures may cause no symptoms, or only mild symptoms. Ruptured cysts that cause mild symptoms can often be managed with pain medicine.' "Winning your first 2 seasons back 🏆to back 🏆at 18 yrs old is a serious flex,' Derek, 40, commented underneath his sister's Instagram post. 'I remember your dance with piano you were just after the surgery/ you are incredible both you and your brother/ big inspiration,' a fan wrote. While another added, 'You were that girl Julianne 😍.' Hough explained how focusing on her energy helped manage her pain symptoms. 'I will tell you, through this transformation of really connecting back to my truth, I haven't had symptoms of endometriosis because of the love and kindness I'm giving to my body,' Hough, who founded dance-based fitness program, KINRGY, said. Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. She continued, 'I believe there's stress, shame, guilt, and suppression of female energy that's associated with endometriosis, so de-layering that has really helped.' The last time Hough hit the stage as a DWTS pro was in November 2025, saying, 'I wish I could just get out there' before revealing her dance costume she had hidden underneath her dress. 'Seeing all these amazing dances and dancers out there all season long reminds me of when I was a pro back in the day. And oh, my gosh, I wish I could just get out there and dance sometimes. In fact, why don't we do that?,' she said. Read the original article on People

'Holy Airball' trend explained: Celebs, athletes take time to show off
'Holy Airball' trend explained: Celebs, athletes take time to show off Show Caption Hide Caption 'Holy airball' slang and TikTok trend explained A new TikTok trend is helping people realize when they're preconceived notions and assumptions have missed the mark. - Know Your Meme TikTok users are "flexing" on a whole new level as part of the latest social media trend. The "Holy (Freaking) Airball" TikTok trend features celebrities, professional athletes and just everyday people showing off what they are known for − or rather, things they believe others should already know about them. Even Gordon Ramsey has hopped on the trend. In a TikTok video with more than 5.6 million views as of June 2, Ramsey shared photos with the on-screen caption, "Told them, 'I like to cook.' They said, 'What? Like sheet pan meals?'" The video then shows photos of Ramsey in front of his Las Vegas restaurant with the caption, "Holy airball." "If you are not a sports person, you probably have no idea like what this even means. Basically, an airball is when someone shoots the hoop, like in basketball, and they completely miss," TikTok user Jade Dexter explained in a video. "It's no net, no net at all. You don't hit the rim. You miss your shot, basically." Need a bit more background? Here's what to know about the "Holy (Freaking) Airball" trend. TikTok: No, Trump did not approve $1,200 for stay-at-home moms, despite viral TikTok videos Heartfelt trends: Grown men are wishing their friends sweet dreams. The internet can't get enough. What is the 'Holy (Freaking) Airball' trend? Gaining traction on TikTok in late May, the "Holy (Freaking) Airball" trend features videos of users "flexing," or bragging on what they are most known for, whether it be a career, hobby or achievement. The videos are set to Jeezy's 2005 hit "Survivor." Videos are formatted like a conversation with a new date or friend, in which the user has to "break it" to the other person that they are in fact worth being known about. Actress, singer and dancer Julianne Hough, known for winning "Dancing the the Stars" twice, participated in the trend. In her TikTok video, which had 620,000 views as of June 2, Hough's video starts with a selfie with the on-screen caption, "Told him I liked to dance." The video then transitions to an old photo of Hough dancing as a kid with the on-screen caption, "He said, 'Oh, cute. As a kid?'" A series of videos of Houghs competing on "Dancing with the Stars" then plays with the on-screen caption, "#HolyAirball." The "airball" refers to a missed basketball dunk, an analogy that the person inquiring about the poster's career, hobby or achievement missed an opportunity to know an important piece of information. Who else is chiming in? All types of TikTok users have jumped on the trend. Former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Stephanie Roberts' "Holy (Freaking) Airball" video had 69,000 views as of June 2. "Told them I was a professional dancer," Roberts' video starts, featuring an older photo of her, outside of cheer attire. "'Oh, like a ballet dancer?'" the video continues. Robert's video then carousels through a collection of photos of her time as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. New York public defender Eliza Orlins, better known for her appearances on "Survivor" and "The Amazing Race," tapped into the trend, too. Orlins' TikTok video starts with her showing off a dress in a mirror with the on-screen caption, "I told him I loved 'Survivor.'" It continues, "He said, 'Oh, do you watch that show?'" To which Orlins' video concludes with several screenshots of her from her time competing on the show in 2004 and 2008. As of June 2, the video had 461,000 views. TikTok user Mattie Cassaday took a more humorous approach to the trend. "Told them I had a lot of school spirit," Cassady's TikTok video starts. "They said, 'What, like you're a cheerleader?' The video then segues to videos of Cassady inside the University of Oklahoma's horse mascot costume. As of June 2, Cassady's video had 20,700 views. Fast start and flowing Waters help Limerick past Wexford
All-Ireland MHC preliminary quarter-final: Limerick 1-20 Wexford 0-15 Shane Waters and Conor Hough fired Limerick to the All-Ireland minor hurling quarter-finals with victory over Wexford at Semple Stadium. The Treaty enjoyed a 0-10 to 0-2 head start, and though Wexford briefly made it a one-score game, those eight points would prove their eventual winning margin. Waters accounted for 0-14 (0-5 from play), while Hough's 51st-minute goal made victory certain as part of a 1-2 tally. The Model County were boosted before throw-in with the addition of Seán O'Brien to their starting team. Top scorer at this grade last year, the joint-captain missed their Leinster semi-final defeat to Galway due to a thumb injury, but played through the pain here. O'Brien won the opening free for Darragh Ryan, but Limerick's puck-out domination would see them string together 10 of the next 11 points. Shane Carroll and Alex Kearns got them up and running before Waters took over. The Na Piarsaigh sharp-shooter scored their next seven points, including four from play, in the space of eight minutes. Hough made it 0-10 to 0-2. Wexford switched Ryan deeper to shield their defence while O'Brien was brought out to the wing. The moves worked as Tomás Fenlon got their first point from play, quickly followed by Eoghan Whelan and O'Brien scores. Before long, a super second from wing-back Fenlon and Énán Quinlan's opener had it back to a one-score game. But Waters ended with a brace, one each from play and a free, for a 0-14 to 0-9 half-time lead. There were just four scores from play in a scrappy second half. Ryan and Waters exchanged two points each before the first clear-cut goal chance. Hough broke the sliotar for Cathal Dennehy, but Martin Dempsey read his intentions for a terrific diving save. Still, Waters' third 65 and Dennehy's opener made it a four-point streak and a lead of eight. The goal originated from captain David O'Keeffe winning the puck-out break. Rory Hanly sped forward to offload for Hough, whose initial shot was stopped by Brian Ivers' brave block. The Monagea attacker met the rebound with a sweet groundstroke to rattle the net. That 1-19 to 0-12 lead wouldn't be threatened as the Treaty held out against late Wexford pressure. Marcus Murphy earned his clean sheet by taking O'Brien's one-handed swipe off the line before saving Joey Tobin's kicked effort. For a finish, Jackie Dwane blocked O'Brien's close-range free on the line, and Tobin whipped wide.
