Jane Fonda to receive Spirit of Katherine Hepburn Award on Sept. 14
OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. (WTNH) — Actress Jane Fonda will receive the 10th annual Spirit of Katharine Hepburn Award from the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook. It will be presented at the Kate's Gala on Sunday, September 14. House of Heroes cleans 78-year-old veteran's home
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — An army veteran has fallen on tough times, and House of Heroes is helping him have safe access to his home in West Hartford. House of Heroes will be cleaning up the property of a 78-year-old deserving Vietnam War veteran. He has had difficulty accessing his home, and House of Heroes says they're getting the home back in shape. Wolcott police rescue deer from swimming pool The organization was founded in 2012 and has since helped hundreds of heroes. This is their 267th project. There will be about 25 volunteers from Triumph CT helping clean the property. Haven Beer Company, House of Heroes team up to help veterans
HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Haven Beer Company and House of Heroes are teaming up to honor local veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice. All weekend long you can order a special beer and a burger menu item, and the proceeds will go to House of Heroes. 2025 Memorial Day events in Connecticut The organization will head to Stamford, Norwalk and Guilford on Saturday to provide no-cost home repairs for veterans in need. 'We work strictly off of donations and the generosity of our community for giving us sponsorships and golf tournaments and Haven is so generous,' House of Heroes Executive Director Carol May said. 'They had a golf tournament for us last weekend so it's all good. It's all good.' On Monday Haven Beer Company and the House of Heroes Connecticut will read the 103 Hamden residents who lost their lives in service at the brewery, following the parade in town.
