Karan Johar Embraces Maximalism In Masaba Couture, But His Choker Is The Real Star
Last Updated: For The Traitors, Karan Johar was dressed in a House of Masaba creation. While his trench coat was a statement, it was his choker that was the real star of his look. No one embraces flamboyance and maximalist fashion like Bollywood's ace director Karan Johar. The director was recently spotted at the launch of his upcoming reality series, The Traitors. For the event, Karan was dressed head to toe in an ensemble by House of Masaba. Taking to her Instagram, Karan Johar's stylist Eka Lakhani shared a series of pictures of the director in his ivory and gold look. She wrote, 'Karan Johar for Traitors!" Karan kept it stylish in an ivory trench coat that he had paired with a black oversized shirt and matching loose pants. Take a closer look at Karan's OOTD here. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Eka (@ekalakhani) For his recent look, Karan turned heads in a custom ensemble by Masaba Gupta's House of Masaba. His striking outfit exemplified a blend of symbolism, craftsmanship, and fearless self-expression. The director wore the ivory-hued 'Crescent Palm Trench Coat Set' – a piece that was adorned with Masaba's signature house motifs, including the 'Palm' and 'Matsya', as well as the intricately hand-embroidered 'Son Chand' and 'Stalk of Maize'. The 'Son Chand' and 'Stalk of Maize' motifs were specially designed for him. While the trench coat was a statement in itself, the neckpiece was the pièce de résistance. The 'Nirbhau Nirvair Nimrata' choker comes from the Masaba x Amrapali Fine Jewellery collaboration. Crafted in 18-karat gold and set with full-cut diamonds, the phrase on the choker translates to 'without fear, without hate, with love.' Karan slipped into a pair of black dress shoes by Bottega Veneta, and he opted for clear glasses from Gucci.
