The online personality has made various revelations throughout the case in order to debunk the late actress's family's claims of Soo Hyun dating Sae Ron when she was still a minor. In recent claims, he has uploaded another video to his channel sharing evidence of the duo's dating history and debunking the alleged claims. Kim Soo Hyun files defamation and stalking charges against Kim Sae Ron's family amid fabricated audio recording controversy
In the latest development in the ongoing controversy surrounding Kim Soo Hyun 's alleged involvement with late actress Kim Sae Ron, the alleged audio recording that has the late actress claiming a sexual affair with the actor was revealed to be fabricated by the whistleblower. Now, in response to the incident, Soo Hyun and his agency have decided to add extra charges to the complaint against HoverLab's owner and the family of the late actress. Additional criminal charges The actor's company quickly issued a statement ahead of the revelation that the controversial 1.5-hour audio was fabricated, sharing that they will be pursuing additional charges against the two parties, according to Allkpop. In light of more damning accusations made by Kim Saeron's family yesterday (7th May 2025) at the press conference involving the family's legal representative and YouTuber Kim Seui of Garo Sero Institute, Kim Soohyun's agency, has issued an official statement in regards to the accusations. On the same day of the press conference, GOLDMEDALIST rebuked all accusations made towards actor Kim Soohyun (김수현), stating 3 main points of argument, where they point out that the accusations made with proof were fabricated to defame him. The statement also states that the audio provider who had given the recording to HoverLab had also approached them, demanding money, with an audio recording of the late actress making favourable comments towards Kim Soohyun. The agency also states that the perpetrator is not someone who could have had any contact with Kim Saeron, and investigations are well underway or the legitimacy of the recording. Their Stance On The Alleged 'Attack Photo' Mentioned By HoverLab GOLDMEDALIST rebukes the so-called 'attack photo' claimed by HoverLab and has presented that the photo can be easily found with a quick search on the internet. Kim Sae Ron 's family has been adamantly pursuing legal actions against actor Kim Soo Hyun ever since the untimely demise of the actress. Earlier, her family had held an official press conference in March regarding the matter. During the press conference, Ji Seok revealed that the late actress had been in conversation with a 'whistleblower' in New Jersey, only a month before she passed away. The actress had allegedly spoken about Kim Soo Hyun for around 1.5 hours, which was all recorded with her consent. Whistleblower was attacked The lawyer shared that this whistleblower that Sae Ron was in conversation with was attacked last month by two men, one of Chinese descent and the other of Korean descent. He also shared that the case was officially being investigated in the States by the FBI. Amid ongoing controversies regarding Kim Soo Hyun and the late Kim Sae Ron , a new revelation has come to light regarding the actress's life. According to the latest reports, it had been revealed that the actress' father had reached out to her landlord a day after her funeral to collect the deposit she had made on the property; however, he was unable to do so. Deposit made by someone else The 50 million KRW deposit was allegedly paid by someone else and not the actress. Apparently, the deposit had been paid by some executive from an education firm. According to reports from Allkpop, the executive who has not been named, had paid two separate deposits for the actress, one on her property in Nonhyeon-dong and one for her apartment in Seongsu-dong. The actress had earlier lived in Nonhyeon-dong in 2023 and had been living in her property at Seongsu-dong up until her untimely demise. It was also revealed in the same reports that a friend of the late actress had also provided help with the deposit on the first property. Both of the parties preferred to pay the deposits themselves rather than lend the money directly to the actress. Kim Sae Ron's father was unaware of the deposits It was shared that the father of the deceased actress had made the request to collect the deposit, as he was not aware of how Sae Ron had gotten hold of the property. In the same report, it was shared that he possibly did not know how Kim Sae Ron secured the house for rent. The landlord was initially taken aback by the bereaved father's request but eventually returned the money to the unnamed person. "Kim Sae Ron never missed a single month's rent even in that difficult situation. I understand that she paid it all while working part-time.' Recent updates about the case In recent news regarding the scandal between Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron, the actor has been sued by three agencies so far for damages, modelling fees and penalties. He also filed additional charges against the YouTube channel HoverLab's owner for stalking and disseminating defamatory content. Other than that, the attorney who is handling Kim Sae Ron's case has also been accused of malpractice regarding the case. It was shared that he allegedly spread wrong information and crossed the legal boundaries that he has as a person of law.
