Former Nickelodeon star Josh Peck makes surprise cameo in 'The Last of Us'
Actor Josh Peck made an unexpected appearance in the latest episode of HBO's The Last of Us, portraying a FEDRA officer during a flashback to 2018. Best known for his Nickelodeon roots in Drake & Josh, Peck's cameo marks a brief yet memorable addition to the series, set years before the main events of Season 1. Episode 4 of Season 2 opens in pre-outbreak Seattle, following militia leader Isaac, played by Jeffrey Wright, during his time serving FEDRA. Peck plays one of Isaac's colleagues, casually recounting a crackdown on a group of dissenters ironically referred to as "voters". His short performance captures the harsh militarised mindset of FEDRA during its early years of power. While Peck's appearance was not publicised ahead of the episode, he hinted at his involvement via TikTok a week earlier, teasing viewers with, 'Oh and I'm officially allowed to say, episode 4, let's just say, you're not ready.' @joshpeck #MaxPartnerThe Last of Us Season 2 is some of the best TV ever. If you're not watching, what are ya nuts?! Oh and I'm officially allowed to say, episode 4, let's just say, you're not ready. @Max @HBO #thelastofus ♬ original sound - Josh Peck Following the episode's broadcast, Peck shared behind-the-scenes photos with Wright and the rest of the cast and crew on Instagram and wrote: 'Man, this was a tough secret to keep. It was an honour to play a small part in one of my favourite shows, with one of my favourite actors ever. Josh Peck rose to fame in the early 2000s and has since transitioned into adult roles across television and film, including appearances in Oppenheimer, How I Met Your Father, and Turner & Hooch. His brief role in The Last of Us adds to the show's tradition of featuring unexpected but resonant cameos.

Nobody Wants This casts star's real-life spouse to appear in season 2
Netflix may have just released an exciting real-life crossover casting announcement for season 2 of Nobody Wants This. Doubling down on the hype for the new chapter, the streamer shared that Leighton Meester, who's married to Noah star Adam Brody in real life, has been cast in a guest role. As if fans weren't already eager to reunite with Noah and Joanne, played by Kristen Bell, it has been revealed that Meester will be playing Joanne's middle school nemesis Abby. Related: According to a post appeared on Netflix's Twitter/X, the frenemies are expected to cross paths many years later, but it isn't clear whether they'll bury the axe this time around. Not much else is known about Abby, who's said to be an Instagram mum influencer, but we can guess that she and Joanne may not exactly see eye to eye. Meester appearing on Nobody Wants This, and working with Bell specifically, also makes for a Gossip Girl reunion. More recently seen as Meredith in the short-lived How I Met Your Father, Meester is known for portraying Blair Waldorf in six seasons of Gossip Girl, while Bell famously voiced the titular snarky narrator. Also featuring in comedy Good Cop/Bad Cop on The CW, Meester is next set to appear in season 2 of Apple TV+'s period drama The Buccaneers. Related: Premiering last year, Nobody Wants This follows the unlikely love story between sex-positive, agnostic podcaster Joanne and 'hot rabbi' Noah, as their families are very vocally sceptical about the relationship. The show also stars Succession's Justine Lupe as Joanne's sister and podcast co-host Morgan, Veep's Timothy Simons as Noah's brother Sasha, and GLOW's Jackie Thon as Sasha's wife Esther. Thon graduated to series regular for season 2, with the comedy also adding Miles Flower as Lenny, one of Noah's Matzah Ballers teammates who's set up with Morgan.
