Farah Khan bristles as she thinks Ram Kapoor called her cook Dilip ‘dhakkan', makes actor wash utensils and make bhajiya: ‘This is scary for me'
After speaking at length about building enough wealth to support four generations in an interview, actor Ram Kapoor has now given a house tour of his lavish home in Mumbai. In her latest vlog, filmmaker Farah Khan visited the actor and his wife Gautami Kapoor's South Mumbai house to make a new salad recipe and gossip about the good old days. While welcoming them in his house, Ram met Dilip first and said, 'Bhai, asli star toh tu hai (you are the real star).' Farah jokingly made an upset face and said, 'Sharam toh nahi aayi na, mujhe baad mein hug kia tune (you should feel ashamed, you hugged me after him). Role yehi dene wala hai tereko iske baad?' However, when she thought he called Dilip 'dhakkan' during the video, she was seen visibly bristling. The actor, however, was talking about one of his pets. She later made Ram also wash utensils when the actor revealed he was the brand ambassador for Vim detergent. Before heading towards the kitchen, the actor gave Farah a tour of his lavish property, starting from the meeting/movie room. 'South Bombay ke bhai bade bade log,' she teased him. To which, Ram responded, 'I don't have a terrace which has a swimming pool, plus you have three floors, I have one.' The highlight in their bathroom was the huge lip shaped couch, a duplicate of a piece from the Maldives, which left the filmmaker surprised. While chatting, Farah Khan revealed that she knows Ram Kapoor from the time when he weight around 150 kgs. 'When I was in college in Los Angeles in an acting school. In my one BHK flat, Sajid Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala, Arbaaz Khan, and Rajesh Sathi came for two weeks,' he shared. 'Yeh mera poora Nehru Nagar ka poora gang, mujhe inn logon ne out kardia tha,' she replied. 'Farah you know this, some people reach a level in their career where kaam aataa hai because they have nothing more to prove. I am no star, I never will be a star. My name is not Khan,' he said. 'He is a big star,' she retaliated. To which, he responded, 'Character actor bol na, mujhe acha lagta hai. Maine yeh kaam ke liye nahi kia, I did it for my health. Maine socha hua tha that I'll do it at 50 (Call me a character actor, I like it. I did this for my health and not work. I had decided I will do it once I reach 50).' He also showed the viewers his coffin-shaped table in the bar. Ram's wife Gautami took Farah to show her a big portrait of the actor's picture in an older character from his film, which Farah likened to drug lord Pablo Escobar style painting. 'That was gifted to me by one of my producers from Neeyat film. It reminds me who I am, who I was. I was lucky that I was accepted like this,' he said. 'You are a good actor that's why, Humshakals nahi dekhi kya,' she laughed it off. After entering their AC modulated kitchen to make a mango papaya salad, the Bade Ache Lagte Hain actor elaborated the details about Farah Khan's lavish house. 'Unka ghar shuru hota hai, building khatam hoti hai, par ghar khatam nahi hota. You go till the top in the lift, then there's another lift, which is her private one, jo aur 3-4 floors upar jaati hai. Then, there's a private terrace and swimming pool on the third floor. She owns a mini building on top of a massive building.' Towards the end of the vlog, Gautami Kapoor gifted Dilip a t-shirt which read, 'Best', in Hindi. While sipping tea, Ram Kapoor then revealed that he eats two meals in a day and only consumes tea and coffee in between.

'Mistry' web-series review: A lovable Ram Kapoor and a solid Mona Singh make this crime-comedy work
The nature of the performances and background music suggest the tone is going to be perennially light and lunatic but in good ways. And Kapoor surely has a ball playing Armaan Mistry read more Cast: Ram Kapoor, Mona Singh, Shikha Talsania Director: Rishab Seth Language: Hindi I haven't seen the American series Monk. It's a show about a former police officer who quits after his wife's mysterious death. His OCD has quadrupled ever since and you can sense a certain sense of awkwardness in his body and verbal language. But his mind is just as sharp and his tenacious sense of observation is marveling. Any investigative thriller or comedy needs to have a central character written with absolute precision. So when the series has been adapted for the Indian palette, you need an actor who has the nuances to replicate what has already been done eight times over. Ram Kapoor joyfully fits the bill. It's because he has dabbled with these alarming and amusing troubles in Sajid Khan's calamity called Humshakals 11 years back. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD It's not a whodunit. There are multiple whodunits roped into one. Every episode has a new mystery and the only man who can solve it is Mistry. This pun was not intended. This is what the makers have called the Indian adaptation. There's Mona Singh too, who's finally getting the due she always deserved. She has headlined a show for Netflix, did a stunning appearance for a show for Prime Video. And now is the second most important character for a web series for Jio Hotstar. A reference to her Laal Singh Chaddha in one of the episodes is almost self-deprecating. The nature of the performances and background music suggest the tone is going to be perennially light and lunatic but in good ways. And Kapoor surely has a ball playing Armaan Mistry. He has always been a delightful actor. Here, he feels at ease in playing someone this complex and flawed. But he nearly turns this into a fluid performance. And Mona Singh brings the right amount of restrain, devoid of high-pitched melodrama or pretentious heroism. But there are some jarring moments too. The car shots are nothing but blatant use of the green screen due to the jittery view outside. And a new case every episode could get restless. How many cases after a point are too many cases? At least three of them involve the conflict of extra-marital relationships. And such murder mysteries and whacky whodunnits, despite trying their best to be unpredictable and unassuming, have their limitations after a point. There's a scene where Shikha Talsania, who plays the eponymous character's cantankerous secretary, hands over a pair of binoculars to her son so that he can have fun by looking around. You know he's going to witness a murder. A parallel track about Kapoor trying to deconstruct the mystery of his wife's death is conveniently addressed only towards the end of each episode so that it can end on a suspenseful cliffhanger. Is it possible to review any web show without using this word? Also, Monk was a show that began in 2002 and ended in 2009. It was a show that spanned over seven years and eight seasons. Does the Indian audience have the patience to watch a series for as many seasons? Or do our writers have that expertise that they can take a character and his world and his attributes all the way to these many seasons? Also, will any actor hang on to one particular character for almost a decade? The long lasting Criminal Justice has reached season four. Pankaj Tripathi has played all his cards and yet Madhav Mishra, the wry lawyer, pops up after every few years. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD If Ram Kapoor and his endearing Armaan Mistry is welcomed by the viewers the way Monk was in the West, he could definitely come back for few more episodes and years. He shares a love-hate relationship with Talsania. The way she makes her troubles so endearing is chucklesome to watch. She had weight issues in Wake Up Sid, daddy issues in Veere Di Wedding, and salary issues here. But she never sheds a tear. And it will be lovely to see more of Mona Singh as the no nonsense cop who truly means business. It's always a joy to watch crime thrillers sprinkled with farce and fun. And it's even more delightful to see a flawed character cracking all the inciting and intricate cases. But then we again go back to the same question asked above- How many cases are too many cases? That still remains a mystery, or maybe Mistry. Rating: 3 (out of 5 stars) STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Mistry is now streaming on Jio Hotstar Mistry is now streaming on Jio Hotstar

Esha Gupta Reacts To Her "Proper Fight" With Sajid Khan, " Unhone Mujhe Gaali Di"
New Delhi: Esha Gupta had an infamous fight with director Sajid Khan on the sets of the film Humshakals (2014). A decade later, Esha recalled how Sajid verbally abused her and how she retorted back during a conversation with Siddharth Kannan recently. Esha also clarified she didn't charge #Metoo allegations against him. What's Happening On the sets of Humshakals, Sajid Khan abused Esha and she also replied back, revealed the actress during the interview. Following the abuse, she wanted to leave the film but producer Vashu Bhagnani's apology changed her mind. Later, Sajid Khan also apologised to her. "I had a fight. Sajid Khan and I were not at all on the same page, and we ended up having a proper fight. It happened once, and after that, things were never the same. See, I don't like people abusing me. You should always treat people the way you want them to treat you. It's that simple. Unhone mujhe gaali di... phir maine bhi di (He abused me, and in return, I also abused him)," Esha said. "I walked out of the set. I went home. I didn't stay. I had also made up my mind to exit the film. But it was the producer who apologised first, even before Sajid did," Esha added. Sajid Khan, #Metoo And Esha Gupta When asked Sajid Khan's misconduct was directed at her as she accused him of #Metoo, Esha clarified it's a rumour and their fight had nothing to do with #Metoo. Esha also mentioned a publication had to apologise to her for quoting her name in Sajid Khan's dating history. "No, that way I'll give him credit. That's why one newspaper, very early on, had wrongly added my name to Sajid Khan's dating history, and I made sure they apologised to me for that," she said. The actor added, "I've never said anything in relation to MeToo about Sajid. In fact, when those allegations started coming out, someone even added my name to the list of people who accused him. I said, 'No.' Dekhiye, jahan jisne jo galti ki hai woh bolo (Look, whoever has made a mistake, call them out for that)." "Like I'm openly saying now that he abused me. But Sajid never tried any of those [sexual misconduct] things with me. So I will not say that about him." In A Nutshell A decade later after the incident happened, Esha Gupta clarified her fight with Sajid Khan had nothing to do with #MeToo allegations. Actually, Sajid verbally abused her and never tried to sexually manipulate her.
