Ashley Tisdale Jokes About Her Daughter's Obsession With High School Musical
Last Updated: Ashley Tisdale shared that her daughter has become a big fan of the High School Musical trilogy and loves the songs Ashley Tisdale's daughter, Jupiter, recently made a fun discovery that her mom is Sharpay Evans from the popular High School Musical movies. In a TikTok video, Ashley shared that Jupiter has become a big fan of all three films and loves the songs too, especially Humuhumunukunukuapua'a, which the actress dislikes. Ashley explained that her daughter only started loving the movies again after watching her niece perform in a High School Musical stage play. Before this, Jupiter had seen the movies but wasn't very interested. But seeing her cousin act as her mother's character seems to have sparked a new love for the trilogy. She explained, 'Jupiter saw my niece in the High School Musical play last weekend. When she's seen the movie in the past, she never really cared about it, but I think seeing my niece in the play, play me, has just changed her. So she had to watch all three movies. She will not stop listening to the music. It's playing in the house right now. When I'm on walks with her, she asks for me to play it. When I'm in the car, she asks me to play it, specifically High School Musical 2. Her favourite song is Humuhumunukunukuapua'a, I hate that song. I don't know what kind of karma this is, but this is wild." 'She screams out, she screams out in public, 'I'm Sharpay's baby,' like I can't. I just feel so embarrassed when I'm walking into a store and she's like, 'We're all in this,' and I'm like, 'Oh, my God.' It's really sweet, but after like, a good week straight of listening to the music again, it's like, 'Ok. We're good. We don't need to watch this again. We don't have to listen to this anymore.' I always have to be like, 'Don't sing that next to me.' Because it's like, someone's gonna be like, 'Oh my god, I saw Ashley strolling her child and she was listening to her own music from High School Musical'," Ashley Tisdale added. It was added later in the extended version, which came out on DVD and streaming platforms. Other than Jupiter, Ashley Tisdale also has another daughter named Emerson, whom she shares with her husband, Christopher French. First Published:

Ashley Tisdale's daughter Jupiter loves 'High School Musical', declares 'I'm Sharpay's baby!'
Ashley Tisdale's daughter Jupiter has developed a strong attachment to High School Musical after realising her mother played Sharpay Evans in the Disney franchise. In a TikTok video posted on May 13, 2025, Tisdale said her four-year-old now frequently exclaims, 'I'm Sharpay's baby!' in public. Tisdale starred as Sharpay, a determined and flamboyant character, in all three High School Musical films. According to her, Jupiter's interest in the movies was sparked after watching her cousin portray Sharpay in a school play. Prior to that, she had shown little interest when watching the films at home. Tisdale noted that her daughter's favourite is High School Musical 2, and the song 'Humuhumunukunukuapua'a' is played on repeat in their home. She jokingly admitted, 'I hate that song,' but said she listens to it often for her daughter's enjoyment. Reflecting on the situation, Tisdale said it has been meaningful to see her daughter enjoy something that played such a significant role in her career. While she is happy to see the connection forming, she jokingly added that after a full week of nonstop viewing, she's ready for a short break from the franchise. Tisdale and her husband, Christopher French, share daughters Jupiter and Emerson. Since becoming a mother, the actress has spoken about how parenting has shaped her personal and professional life.

Ashley Tisdale hit with 'wild karma' as her daughter becomes obsessed with High School Musical
Ashley Tisdale is experiencing a "wild karma" with her daughter's new obsession. The 39-year-old actress went viral recently when she revealed that her niece had played Sharpay Evans in her local production of 'High School Musical' almost exactly 20 years after she herself originated the role in the Disney Channel film, and while her daughter Jupiter, four, "wasn't bothered" about it before, she has now become infatuated with the 2000s trilogy. Speaking in a video posted to Instagram, she said: "So, Jupiter saw my niece in 'High School Musical' the play last weekend. When she's seen 'High School Musical' in the past, she never really cared about it bit I think seeing my niece in the play play me has just changed her, so she had to watch all three movies. "She will not stop listening to the music, it's playing in the house right now. When I'm on walks with her, she asks me to play it. "When I'm in the car, she asks me to play it. Specifically, 'High School Musical 2'. Her favourite song is 'Humuhumunukunukuapua'a' . I hate that song! I don't know what kind of karma this is but this is wild, I'm having to listen to it over and over and over." The former 'Suite Life of Zack and Cody' star - who has been married to Christopher French since 2014 and also has seven-month-old Emerson with him - is often "so embarrassed" when she takes her eldest out in public now because she insists on reminding everyone around them who her mom is. She said: "Also, she screams screams out in public 'I'm Sharpay's baby!' I really can't! I mean, I just feel so embarrassed when I'm walking into a store and she [sings] 'We're All In This Together'. It's really sweet, but after a whole week of listening to the music straight, it's like...I don't need to watch this again. We don't need to listen to this anymore. "I always have to tell her not to sing it next to me because someone's gonna be like 'Oh my God, I saw Ashley strolling her child and she was listening to her own music from 'High School Musical...'"
