Serious Huntersville crash injures two: Fire Dept.

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. () — A crash Monday morning has badly injured two people, according to the Huntersville Fire Department and Medic. The incident happened just before 11 a.m. on March 24 at the intersection of Sam Furr Road and West Catawba Avenue. One person with life-threatening injuries and one person with serious injuries were both taken to Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. Huntersville Fire says to avoid the area if possible. The Huntersville Fire Department is backing an effort to name a new park after a fallen firefighter. Jeff Hager died in 2021 after contracting COVID-19 in the line of duty. Nonprofit aims to get therapy dogs to departments hurt by Hurricane Helene The town of Huntersville is now asking residents for feedback on what to name a new park next to Fire Station 4. HFD is encouraging residents to tell the town to name the park the Firefighter Jeff Hager Memorial Park. 5 injured in multi-vehicle crash on Hwy 73 in Huntersville: Medic

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Five people are hurt following a multi-vehicle accident Thursday morning in Huntersville, according to Medic and emergency personnel. Huntersville Fire reported crews were responding to a multi-vehicle wreck Thursday along Hwy 73 on the bridge over the river by McGuire nuclear station. Crews reported the area was very icy. 🚗 Track issues along your commute with the QCN Traffic Interactive Map Firefighters had to rescue at least one person who was trapped inside their vehicle. Medic confirmed with Queen City News five people were hurt in the accident. Mecklenburg and Lincoln County units responded to the crash scene. Medic reports as far as accidents go, it's been the 'most severe here in Huntersville.'
