Mother with active warrants believed to have taken missing 4-year-old in Huntersville
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Huntersville Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing 4-year-old girl who was last seen early Friday morning. According to police, Lila Willis is believed to be with her biological mother, Jennifer Glackin, a 39-year-old woman who currently has active warrants with Huntersville Police. Authorities are treating this case seriously and are asking the community to keep an eye out. The two were last spotted near Gilead Road and Commerce Center Drive. Police said she may be traveling in a Honda Civic with North Carolina license plate KMN-7030. A photo of the vehicle has been released to the public. Local agencies, including the Huntersville Fire Department and town government, have also joined in the search. Huntersville hotels hit by series of vehicle thefts and break-ins
A black Ford F-150 was stolen from the parking lot of a Huntersville hotel over the weekend, marking the latest in a series of vehicle thefts and break-ins at local hotels. Huntersville Police reported that the theft occurred between Saturday night and Sunday morning. ALSO READ: 54-year-old man wanted for multiple car thefts caught after pursuit This incident follows a spree of vehicle break-ins at seven hotels in the area two weeks prior, where multiple pickup trucks were targeted, including another F-150 that was stolen after its key was left inside. 'I always try to get in a spot that has lighting, you know, probably closer to the front,' said Cliff Coleman, a frequent guest at My Place Hotel in Huntersville, who had his truck stolen from the parking lot. Cliff Coleman, who travels often for work, stays at My Place Hotel monthly and takes precautions about where he parks his truck, especially after his vehicle was stolen from the parking lot. 'It's unfortunate,' Coleman expressed. 'You'd hate to have that happen to anyone.' Jennifer Montague, another hotel guest, expressed concern about the thefts, noting the confusion of finding one's car missing in the morning. 'I take anything that's valuable to me up to my room, so I make sure they don't look in there,' said Jennifer Montague, who stayed at the Courtyard Hotel, one of the targeted locations. Police have stated they do not believe these incidents are part of a larger ring, and currently, they have no suspects in the thefts. Huntersville man charged with child solicitation; reportedly caught by officer posing as young teen: Police
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. () — A Huntersville man is accused of trying to meet a 13-year-old girl for sexual acts, not knowing an undercover officer was posing as the girl. Huntersville Police say one of their officers went on chat rooms known for exploiting children and posed as a 13-year-old girl. This led to the officer talking with someone with the username LuvsYgrGrl. The conversation then moved to text with the suspect using a Google Voice number. However, he was later identified as 43-year-old Jonathan Lee Case. Indian Trail woman arrested, charged with locking boyfriend in Monroe storage unit for days: Records Over six months, Case reportedly sent many explicit and inappropriate messages to the person he thought was a child, asking to meet for sexual acts. This also included him claiming he was sexually abusing his niece, but he has not been charged with that offense. After some time, Case and the undercover officer agreed to meet for illegal sexual activity at a shopping center on Sam Furr Road the morning of Friday, Feb. 21. He was later arrested that day by Charlotte Mecklenburg Police just north of Uptown Charlotte. and charged with Solicitation of a Minor by Computer/Electronic Device. Case was released from jail just after midnight on Friday, Feb. 28, after posting a $30,000 secured bond. His next court appearance is on Tuesday, March 11. This investigation is still ongoing.
