Trump Says He's Calling Musk's ‘Big Balls' After Bloody Attack

President Donald Trump called teenage ex-DOGE staffer Edward Coristine a 'beautiful, handsome guy' and said he was going to personally check in on him after a brutal carjacking. The 19-year-old, who goes by the nickname 'Big Balls,' was left bloodied after an alleged carjacking in Washington, D.C., on Sunday. The president posted a gruesome photo from the crime scene on his Truth Social account on Tuesday, before threatening a federal takeover of D.C. to lower the crime rate. Coristine was approached by at least two teenagers at around 3 a.m., according to a police report. Metropolitan Police arrested a 15-year-old male and 15-year-old female, both of Hyattsville, Maryland, and charged them with unarmed carjacking. Trump posted on his Truth Social account on Tuesday, referencing how the teen was 'beaten mercilessly by local thugs.' He did not name Coristine, but called him an 'incredible young man.' On Wednesday, Trump revisited the topic, again appearing to reference the staffer known as 'Big Balls', who now works for the Social Security Administration after leaving DOGE. 'We have a capital that's very unsafe,' Trump said in a press conference at the White House. 'You know, we just almost lost a young man, beautiful, handsome guy that got the hell knocked out of him the night before last and, uh, I'm going to call him now. We wanted to give him a little recovery time.' Trump continued, 'We just put a call into him. They're calling back in a little while, but he he went through a bad situation to put it mildly, and there's too much of it. We're going to we're going to do something about it.' The Daily Beast has contacted the White House and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia for an update on Coristine's recovery. The teen made headlines earlier this year when he was hired by Elon Musk to overhaul the federal government as part of DOGE, his ballsy nickname coming from his LinkedIn profile. He left in June, after working on projects including Trump's 'gold card' visa, which was created to sell U.S. citizenships for $5 million apiece. DOGE worker Marko Elez paid tribute to 'my friend Big Balls' calling him a 'hero' on Tuesday. Elez wrote that he took the photo Trump posted. As of Wednesday, Elez has pinned the post, which is now the only post on his entire X account. Speaking at the press conference, Trump continued his threat to take federal control over Washington, criticizing everything from graffiti and roads to the crime rate. 'We're going to beautify the city,' Trump said. 'We're going to make it beautiful. What a shame the rate of crime, the rate of muggings, killings and everything else... He added, 'This has to be the best-run place in the country, not the worst-run place in the country and it has so much potential and we're going to take care of it. You're going to be you're going to be safe. You're going to be safe walking down streets. You're not going to get mugged.'

Student records, equipment left in Hyattsville school being demolished

Late last month, a group of Hyattsville Elementary School parents walked into the building that was scheduled for demolition. They were there to retrieve items in the teacher's lounge purchased by the parent-teacher association and uniforms left over from the school's clothing closet. But as they walked into the building, they were stunned to discover an unsecured room containing binders full of private records about students, including financial information and emergency contacts. They also found classrooms filled with thousands of dollars' worth of school equipment and supplies such as gym mats, library books, microscopes and musical instruments that they were told would be thrown out by the end of the day.

Feds charge 3 more men in Maryland MS-13 racketeering conspiracy involving murder: 'Reign of terror'

As suspected Maryland MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia stands trial in a high-profile criminal case, three more alleged MS-13 members in the state are being charged with racketeering conspiracy, including murder and drug trafficking. Commenting on the charges, acting Assistant Attorney General Matthew Galeotti said the men's actions "furthered MS-13's reign of terror across communities in Maryland." The charges, filed against Salvadoran nationals living in Maryland – Maxwell Ariel Quijano-Casco, 24, Daniel Isaias Villanueva-Bautista, 19, and Hyattsville, Maryland man, Josue Mauricio Lainez, 21 – were announced in a Department of Justice statement on Wednesday. According to the statement, the three men allegedly killed a homeless man as part of their involvement with MS-13. The DOJ said the three allegedly killed the man on July 4, 2024, in a "retaliatory murder." The victim was found dead in a blue Dodge Caravan that was parked in a used car lot in Hyattsville the next day. The department said a nearby surveillance camera caught the murder on video. According to the statement, the video shows the victim wielding what appears to be a pole at Quijano-Casco, who then flees and returns with Villanueva-Bautista, Lainez and another unnamed person. The four approach the blue van where the victim fled, open the door and appear to strike someone inside. Police arriving at the scene the next day found the victim, who appeared to have been stabbed in the neck. Fox News Digital reached out to the DOJ, FBI and Prince George's County Police Department to request to review the video. Neither agency immediately responded to Fox News Digital's request. Quijano-Casco and Villanueva-Bautista were arrested by Prince George's County Police on Aug. 23, according to the DOJ. Quijano-Casco was found in possession of a semi-automatic handgun and about eight grams of cocaine at the time of his arrest. Both admitted that they were present for the altercation where the victim was murdered and Quijano-Casco allegedly admitted to police to stabbing the individual. The three are being charged with racketeering conspiracy, including the July 4, 2024, murder. If convicted, they face sentences of up to life in prison. In the statement, Galeotti of the DOJ's Criminal Division said the "senseless murder" was carried out "in exchange for promotions within the gang and drugs." Galeotti said, "Their actions furthered MS-13's reign of terror across communities in Maryland." U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland Kelly Hayes called the killing a "brutal retaliatory murder" that serves as a "chilling reminder of the MS-13 gang's callous disregard for human life." She said her office will continue to work with law enforcement to dismantle criminal organizations such as MS-13 that "terrorize our communities." This comes as Abrego Garcia, 29, another Salvadoran national who was living in Maryland, faces charges of human smuggling and conspiracy. According to the indictment, Abrego Garcia played a "significant role" in a human smuggling ring operating for nearly a decade. Attorney General Pam Bondi described him as a full-time smuggler who made more than 100 trips, transporting women, children and MS-13 gang-affiliated persons throughout the U.S. According to police and court records shared with Fox News Digital, Abrego Garcia was arrested in Hyattsville in October 2019, at which point he was identified by the Prince George's County Police Gang Unit as a member of MS-13.

Tim Strachan, star DeMatha quarterback turned Maryland broadcaster, dies at 49

Tim Strachan's No. 13 jersey already hangs at DeMatha, the Hyattsville athletic power where he was a star quarterback. A community service award bears his name. So there was never any doubt that Strachan, who died on Tuesday at 49, would be remembered. Strachan, who suffered from cancer, was an alum of Maryland, where he served as a football broadcaster alongside Johnny Holliday for 22 years. He became a motivational speaker and earned a law degree from Georgetown before working as Counsel to the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary and later joining the Federal Communications Commission.
