Revanth unveils vision for ‘Brand Hyderabad'

on Friday reaffirmed his govt's commitment to strengthen 'Brand Hyderabad' while unveiling that the ambitious vision document TelanganaRising–2047 will be released before Dec 9.
"Our strength is Hyderabad, which is a brand on the world stage. The state govt has already organised several international events in the city and introduced our vision to the world. We have envisaged a master plan for the development of the entire Telangana — from the revival of the Musi river to the agricultural growth of rural Telangana. This document promises a happy life for the people of Hyderabad and Telangana with peace, tranquility, and a clean environment," he said in his Independence Day address from Golconda Fort.
The CM said the TelanganaRising–2047 blueprint would showcase ideas, innovations, and implementation strategies for transformative projects that enhance Hyderabad's brand image and make it a clean, beautiful, and globally competitive city. A key highlight is the Musi rejuvenation project, which aims to provide a permanent solution to the city's flooding problem.

"The vision document also reveals how India's Future City, built to international standards, will be a gateway to the modern world.
In TelanganaRising–2047, we clearly explain how the Regional Ring Road will play a vital role in the state's growth," Revanth said.
The plan includes major infrastructure and industrial initiatives — Gandhi Sarovar at Bapu Ghat, greenfield highways, dry ports, the second phase of the metro rail, radial roads between the Outer and Regional Ring Roads, ring railway lines, new airports at Warangal and Adilabad, and industrial corridors connecting Hyderabad to Nagpur, Bengaluru, and Vijayawada.
"Our goal is to implement this resolution and make Telangana a key player in the country's progress by 2047," the CM asserted.
Revanth also spotlighted Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Montoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA) as a cornerstone of his clean, green, and flood-resilient city agenda. "Cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Chennai are facing severe flooding. Hyderabad should never face such a plight.
HYDRAA was created to curb tank encroachments and make Hyderabad a safe city to live in," he said.
He recalled how previous govts had failed to act against encroachments on lands, ponds, and canals due to the absence of a credible system. HYDRAA, he said, had changed that perception. So far, HYDRAA has protected 13 parks and 20 lakes from encroachment, revived the Bathukamma Kunta water body, and safeguarded govt lands worth ₹30,000 crore.
"People are praising HYDRAA, but opposition parties are using it as a political weapon. My appeal is for people to compare the past with the present — today, even after heavy rains, HYDRAA resolves traffic issues and diverts floodwater within an hour or two. It acts against illegal constructions and restores ponds," he said.
He accused the opposition of deliberately portraying HYDRAA as a failed system. "Leaders who want our city to remain a water pool and for the poor to suffer during heavy rains are opposing HYDRAA. They are trying to create unrest among the poor by misleading them. People should protect this great system that protects Hyderabad," the CM added.
