Pakistan Embassy celebrates Independence Day

The Pakistan Embassy in Oman celebrated its 79th Azadi Day with colourful events, community meetings and cultural activities within and outside the embassy premises on August 15.
The embassy launched one-week long Mango Festival to commemorate the nation's 79th Independence Day under the auspices of Ambassador of Pakistan Syed Naveed Safdar Bokhari in the presence of Inzamul Haque, yesteryear's cricket icon at the Intercity hotel on August 14.
This was followed by Mango festival at the Hypermax, the largest chain of hypermarkets in Oman at Mall of Oman. Various products of Pakistani origin were displayed in the festival including fruits, vegetables, meat, rice and spices.
Speaking at the occasion, the Ambassador highlighted that Pakistani products are in high demand in Oman and vowed to further increase and diversify the range of Pakistani products in the country.
The Pakistan Schools Oman organised a ceremony to celebrate 79th Independence Day in a graceful ceremony held at Pakistan School Muscat (PSM) under the auspices of the Ambassador of Pakistan, Syed Naveed Safdar Bokhari who was the Chief Guest of the ceremony. This was attended by, Besides the legendary cricketer Syed Inzamam ul Haq and renowned analysts and anchor persons. Syed Talat Hussain and Asma Sherazi were the guests of honor. The ceremony was attended by the Board of Directors of PSM, Embassy officials, parents and a large number of Pakistani community members.
A public gathering was arranged at the Ravi restaurant where the ambassador, Inzamam Ul Haque and other society icons interacted with the community members from Pakistan.
