Fortnite servers down for Chapter 6 Season 3 update – here's when they're back

Epic Games has taken Fortnite servers offline for the Chapter 6 Season 3 update after the Star Wars mini season came to an end with the Death Star Sabotage live event. Fortnite players were treated to another live event to cap off the Star Wars-themed mini season with Death Star Sabotage and now servers are down as Epic rolls out the new season. Fortnite servers are down for the Chapter 6 Season 3 update (yes, Season 3 – apparently the last season didn't count as a numbered entry) that's set to launch players into a rumoured superhero-themed season along with their Fortnite OG counterparts who'll be reliving the original Chapter 4, which had the theme of (drumroll) superheroes. It'll also wave goodbye to everything Star Wars for now, with the IP getting a whole season in this year's collab – even if it was a super short one. ‌ That means no more whooshing around in TIE Fighters and X-Wings, which you might not be happy about. But on the flip side, we're also seeing the return of ammo-based weapons with the departure of the charge Star Wars weapons. ‌ The Death Star Sabotage live event capped off the end of the Galactic Battle mini season, and players had a limited time to hop into the game to take part. After the climax, Epic Games turfed everyone out to take Fortnite servers down and implement the Season 3 update. But when will they be back online? Here's what you need to know about this weekend's bout of downtime and when Fortnite servers are expected to be back up and running. Fortnite server status Fortnite servers went down right after the live event which started at at 11am PDT / 2pm EDT / 7pm BST on Saturday, June 7 and ran for almost 20 minutes. The in-game screen confirmed that Fortnite servers will be back online at 5pm PDT / 8pm EDT or 1am BST / 2am CEDT on Sunday, June 8 if you're in the UK and Europe. What to expect in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 While Epic has been keeping the theme of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 under wraps, leakers and dataminers have been busy ferreting about for more information. The next season is reportedly going to have a 'superhero academy' theme, not only aligning with the Fortnite OG theme, but also primes the game for a crossover with the upcoming James Gunn Superman movie releasing this July. Here's what to expect to see in-game once Fortnite downtime, according to leakers @Hypex (collabs, new weapons, POIs, sprites): Collabs One-Punch Man (Saitama) Squid Game (Skins + UEFN) Superman (+ Mythics, POI and Sprites) Robin (+ Red Style & Maybe more DC) ‌ New POIs and landmarks Utopia City Whiffy Wharf Shogun's Solitude Supernova Academy Demon's Domain & Dojo Spire Spike Scout Spire Overlord Spire Demon's Dojo Hopeful Heights Weapons and items Krypto Treat Superman Sprite Unstable Yoink Shotgun Wingshot Grappler Deadeye DMR Killswitch Revolvers Hyperburst Pistol Kor's Deadeye DMR Enhanced Spire Rifle Myst Gauntlets Spire Rifle Tracking Visor Unstable Frostfire Shotgun Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol It was only on Friday that leakers finally got their hands on all of this, so it's nice to know what to expect given Epic has kept mum.

When does Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 start this week

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 is just around the corner and it's looking like we'll be getting some superhero content to kick things off It's time to save the world, with leaks, rumours and even Fortnite OG dropping hints about the content for the upcoming season. Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 is set to start this weekend, following the five-week long mini Star Wars season, and climactic Death Star Sabotage live event. It's been one of the shortest Fortnite seasons since the game launched in 2019, with a weekly update ushering the narrative along before we bid a final farewell to the Force. Well, until next year's annual crossover. ‌ While Epic Games hasn't shared its plans for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4, and we're expecting to see a trailer during SGF 2025 on Friday, June 6 we do have some idea as to what to expect thanks to Twitter leaker @Hypex who shared that theme of the next season of Fortnite is likely superheros, based on datamining and a recent skins survey. ‌ As for in-game clues, the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 start date lines up with the start of Fortnite OG Chapter 4. If you weren't around for the original Chapter 1 Season 4 (that the upcoming Fortnite OG chapter is drawing from), it was called 'Brace for Impact' and the theme was – you guessed it – superheroes. So there might be some connection between the two seasons, whether it's just thematic, or something more. As for the leaks, it seems like Hero-themed Boons might be on the way, as well as a possible collab that ties into the upcoming Superman film that releases on July 11, 2025. Our other favourite Twitter leaker, @ShiinaBR seemingly confirmed the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 superhero-theme along with fellow leaker @Wensoing who tweeted that we can anticipate hero abilities to boot. So when does the superhero content arrive? Here's what you need to know. When does Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 start? Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 is set to start on Saturday, June 7. As for the exact time, Epic hasn't shared that just yet, but it'll likely be around 4pm PDT / 7pm EDT on Saturday, which is 12am BST on Sunday, June 8 in the UK. We expect the Fortnite Death Star Sabotage live event to last for around 15-20 mins. And looking at the last couple of downtimes for Chapter 6, we estimate it'll be around five hours. Although Epic has had the game up and running earlier than its anticipated downtime before, so we could be back on the Island sooner than that.

When is the next Fortnite update? Release date and what to expect

There's plenty more to come in this season of Fortnite, and though there is downtime on the horizon, we thankfully don't have to put up with it every time a new bout of content arrives. Fortnite's update schedule for Chapter 6 Season 3 doesn't perfectly match up with its promises of new content, but it's still a fairly straightforward lineup of updates that we can expect. Fortnite is well into its new Star Wars season, and already it's proving itself to be an impressive twist on the game's formula, even if it's made some major changes that have upset some purists. The game has offered an immersive and well-considered peek into the galaxy far, far away with its detailed new POIs and fresh Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 Battle Pass, but in roping players into the Star Wars universe, there have been a few casualties. ‌ The loss of weapons that use ammo has been a source of frustration for a number of players, with all weapons working on a cooldown in order to give the entire island a chance to blast each other to bits with lasers rather than shells and rounds. It's a compelling change to the arsenal of the island, but not one that can last long before players get sick of it, especially as the weapons all have such incredibly similar names, leading to a lot of confusion about what kind of gun you're actually picking up. ‌ Weekly shifts are what it's all about in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3, and while it's good news that we won't be totally inundated with updates and downtimes, that doesn't mean we're totally without interruptions. Here's what you need to know about the next Fortnite update. When is the next Fortnite update? The next Fortnite update, update 35.10, is set for release on Thursday, May 15 at 1am PDT / 4am EDT / 9am BST. This date has been revealed by reputable Fortnite leaker @Hypex, who claims that there will be two updates during the season before it ends on Sunday, June 8, and the time is an estimation based on the last two game updates that didn't bridge the gap between seasons. We can expect some downtime of around two and a half hours (based on the downtimes of Fortnite update 34.40 and Fortnite update 34.30), with matchmaking coming to a close half an hour beforehand. This season, though, these updates aren't the only time that we'll get new injections of content, as they appear to be added to the game in chunks with each update for weekly drops. For example, Fortnite has revealed that its latest bout of content, titled Pull of the Force, has already joined the game without any need for downtime on Twitter, so we can expect that content rollouts for this special crossover season to be similar for the whole month. What's new in Fortnite update 35.10 Fortnite has revealed the titles of its incoming content drops set to roll out over the course of the season, and now that we are in the center of its second drop, Pull of the Force, we can expect that the next update will deliver all of the content needed for the next two arrivals. They are, as revealed by a Fortnite blog post: Chew On This, bringing the Wookie Bowcaster and CA-87 Jawa Scatter Blaster on Thursday, May 15 Mandalorian Rising, bringing recruitable Mandalorian bounty hunters, the Mandalorian Jetback, Amban Sniper Rifle and Westar-34 Blaster Pistols on Thursday, May 22 It's an exciting prospect, and a great way to roll content out to fans, even if every once in a while we have to hold our horses. Or X-Wings, if you prefer. If it gives us more Force powers, then who are we to complain?
