Katie Price got 'gleeful' revenge on Victoria Beckham at Peter Andre wedding

When Katie Price married Peter Andre, she was reportedly delighted that she managed to seemingly get one up on her nemesis, Victoria Beckham, in the process It's 20 years this month since Katie Price and Peter Andre got secretly engaged after a lot of heavy petting in the Australian outback. The former It couple met on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here in 2004 and went on to tie the knot in September 2005 before welcoming son Junior, 19, and daughter Princess, 17. ‌ Sadly, their split in 2009 became the stuff of noughties nastiness, with both briefing against the other. But Katie's war with Peter isn't the only battle she fought valiantly. ‌ The headlines of the decade were also full of talk of her infamous feud with Victoria Beckham, who was then a Spice Girl. Their beef first started cooking in 2000 when Katie got jealous about Victoria's collaboration with her then-boyfriend, Dane Bowers. And the following year it got even more bitter when Katie claimed Posh and her mate sang Who Let The Dogs Out at her in Manchester United 's players' lounge. Victoria upped the ante by branding Katie 'vile' on national TV, before her nemesis sniped, "She's got a great-looking husband, a little boy, and all the money in the world. She hasn't got the looks, but you can't have everything." But despite Victoria's short-loved attempt to become a solo star aside, by the time Katie met Peter Andre on I'm A Celebrity, there was no denying that Brand Beckham was packing more of a punch. But everything changed when Katie and Peter got married and sold the rights for £1.75million - almost twice the cash Victoria and David got for their own wedding in 1999. ‌ "It was a measure of just how popular they were that the amount paid to cover their wedding was nearly double that of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, a few years earlier," author Emily Herbert wrote in her book Katie and Peter: Too Much In Love. "Even the brightest stars in the Hollywood A-list were no match for Peter Andre and Katie Price. ‌ "As for the Beckhams, their own wedding had been bought up some years previously for just £1million, and given the rivalry between Katie and Victoria, still there despite Katie's placatory remarks, Katie could be forgiven for feeling a little gleeful." Neither wedding was short of extravagance. Katie's saw her arrive at Highclere Castle in Berkshire - aka Downton Abbey - in a pink Cinderella-style carriage pulled by six white horses. ‌ Not one to shy away from making a statement, she wore a princess-style pink tulle and satin dress designed by Isabell Kristensen, which boasted an epic seven-metre train. And her headwear was equally as impressive thanks to her foot-high tiara. Doves were apparently released from the skirt of her enormous gown before she and Peter took their place of thrones covered in pink and lilac flowers. Meanwhile, the Beckhams spent £500,000 on their OTT bash at Ireland's Luttrellstown Castle, with the bride walking down the aisle in a £77,000 custom-made Vera Wang gown topped off with a £25,000 with a gold and diamond tiara. ‌ They later changed into matching purple ensembles planned to twin with the carpets, and cut a cake topped with naked figurines of themselves with a sword. After saying 'I do', a single white dove was released and a flag was raised above the castle with the initials V. B. D for Victoria, their then baby son Brooklyn and David. Needless to say, neither scored an invite to the others' big day. ‌ Katie and Victoria initially started out as friends, touring the country with David and Dane to promote Victoria's 2000 single, Out Of My Mind. But Katie blamed hanging out with the Beckhams for her subsequent split from Dane, claiming it "changed" him. "He used to say 'Why can't we be like Victoria and David?' Like the way they were in love - which I thought we were," she said. ‌ "He just kept comparing everything. I think it went to his head that he worked for Victoria. He was always going away with her." What followed was years of barbs, with Katie accused VB of having "horrible teeth." Posh was even accused of changing a flight after learning she'd be on the same plane as Katie - which elicited a rather cutting response from her rep. The spokesman told the Daily Star: "Victoria doesn't get drawn into public tittle-tattle with anyone - let alone her. It's not her style. Sadly for her, Victoria's far too busy being what she is desperate to be - a success in America - to worry about this. "Victoria is launching her new primetime show on America's huge NBC network next week. While Victoria has her own show on US television, she is desperate to be recognised and make a name for herself - fighting to get a few cable viewers."

Louise Pentland admits 'really cool' after working with King Charles and Camilla

YouTube legend Louise Pentland has opened up about working with King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as a special invite to the Monarch's private country house Louise Pentland has revealed she was left flustered after meeting King Charles. This, however, was not the YouTube icon's first meeting with the Monarch who ascended to the throne in 2022. The social media star who first launched her channel in January 2010 has gone on to amass over 195 million views on the platform, with a staggering 2.17 million followers. Louise, 40, was part of the original group of what are now known as social media influencers, alongside the likes of Joe Sugg, Caspar Lee, Jim Chapman, Marcus Butler, Niomi Smart, Tanya Burr, Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes. ‌ Collectively, the group were known as the Brit Crew – although this wasn't a name that they chose themselves. Since launching her channel and her blog, Louise has travelled the world and worked with some of the biggest brands, including her favourite, Disney – but she admits working with the King and Queen is one of her major highlights. ‌ "Really cool, it was really cool," she said of working with the then Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall in 2018. Louise went on to reveal to the Mirror: "It was a real honour, I worked with them a long time ago with YouTube around the now Queen Camilla's charity, Bookstart and that was amazing. "I got to meet the now King and I just thought 'Wow, what a once in a lifetime, incredible opportunity. I've followed them on everything they do and supported them; I really love the charities that they choose – I love that King Charles is all about conservation and preserving the art of craft. "Camilla is so into books and literacy, especially childhood literacy – I love that. I've followed them all this time." This is also a subject close to Louise's heart as a mum to Darcey, 14, and Pearl, seven. She added: "Last year, The King's Foundation, which was The Prince's Foundation, invited me to Highgrove – it was boujee. It was really cool, we had Afternoon Tea. "I went back at Christmas, met His Majesty The King, had a little handshake, had a little chat, and he had to move on. On the outside, I was cool and chill about it. I'll go as far as to say it was the best opportunity I've ever had. It was also incredibly generous because we each had our own three-tier little tray!" ‌ But while Louise has previously appeared on the likes of ITV's Lorraine and Loose Women, she admits she never knows what is around the corner with TV work, but has ruled out appearing on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!"Me on I'm A Celeb would be horrendous," she laughed joking that she wouldn't cope on the flight to Australia, let alone in the jungle. Almost two decades after launching her channel, Louise admits the biggest lesson she's learnt is that you can't please everyone. "It doesn't matter how good you are, how careful you are, how anything–you will never be able to please everyone," she said. While she can't please everybody, Louise says that knowing in your heart that you're being true to yourself is the biggest thing she has learnt. This was echoed when Louise announced a change to her YouTube channel, revealing she would no longer be creating content aimed at teenagers but instead, content for her older audience. She admits "a lot of people dropped off," but later found her again on new sites, including TikTok. ‌ Before YouTube, Louise wrote a blog that she set up while working as a receptionist in Liverpool after university, and she admits she could never have expected her career to take off in such a huge way. "I started a YouTube channel because I was like, oh, maybe the YouTube channel will help drive some traffic over to the blog. Then the YouTube Channel took off," she laughed. She went on to explain that she made YouTube her full-time role while on maternity leave with Darcey, admitting it's been the "most wonderful, amazing experience." She added: "Aside from motherhood, it's been truly the best experience of my life. I just never thought that it would go this well and I would have the experiences I've had." Away from the positives, though, Louise admits that there have been downsides to her career, but the positives outweigh these. ‌ Louise recently teamed up with Nivea for their I AM… Thiamidol campaign and has spoken about her experience with hyperpigmentation. "I'm 40 now, and the very first time I ever thought about skin in that way was when I was a teenager," she said. Louise revealed that while in the changing rooms of her all-girls school, a fellow student pointed out stretch marks, which she didn't even know were a thing. She said: "Because they had been sort of introduced to me in such a negative light, it has been hard to shake that off for my whole life. ‌ "Obviously, I've gone through different things in life that have changed my skin, I've gone through puberty and then pregnancy, twice. And now I'm starting the early days of the ageing process into a middle-aged woman, which I'm very glad to be doing, it's a privilege to age." Louise admits that she no longer feels negative and having a product which has Thiamidol in gives her a "bit of reassurance." Working with Nivea was a no-brainer for Louise as the brand aligned with her personal views, given its deep roots in families across the world. "To find a new product from them with Thiamidol is a little bit exciting," she gushed, before adding it was a "real honour" to be involved in the campaign alongside Dani Dyer, Louise Redknapp and Paul C Brunson. Working with Dani, Louise and Paul, she admits it was "really good," as her young daughter Darcey sat in the corner offering support on the photoshoot saying: "Slay queen!" "It was a lovely day, and the big billboard was really cool – it was so smooth and easy," she joked. At the age of 40, though, Louise admits the answer to having great skin is "a lot of water," before explaining that each night she does a "full proper cleanse" before going to bed. Despite being 40, Louise said she doesn't feel old but instead, feels "great." She said: "We do products like Nivea, Thiamidol, that do help with anything that you're worried about. It's not just hyperpigmentation, marks and all that sort of stuff. There's so many things out there to help with so many of the things you might be worried about and to give you the confidence that you want."

Inside Eurovision's biggest flops from Katie Price to Rita Ora

The UK's journey in Eurovision has been a tumultuous one. We've experienced the highs of Bucks Fizz's unforgettable skirt-ripping performance and Lulu's swinging sixties victory but recent years have seen more nil points than national celebrations. However, Sam Ryder managed to turn the tide in 2022, securing second place and reigniting hope for the UK's pop future on the international stage. Yet, beneath the sequins and dramatic key changes, there's an intriguing fact: several of Britain's most well-known celebrities have tried their luck at Eurovision... and spectacularly failed. While some famous faces were rejected by the public vote, others didn't even survive the BBC's ruthless selection process. The likes of Rita Ora, Katie Price and Michelle Gayle might surprise fans – all once eager to represent the country. But they didn't make the grade and one significant star decided to step back entirely, worried it would damage their career, reports the Express. Let's delve into the UK's biggest Eurovision disappointments and the renowned names who gave it their best shot, only to fall flat. Now a worldwide chart sensation and a regular on the red carpet – but in 2009, Rita Ora was an ambitious 18-year-old with dreams of Eurovision stardom. The soon-to-be pop royalty auditioned for Eurovision: Your Country Needs You on BBC One with a rendition of Oleta Adams' Get Here, impressing judges including Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber. Rita initially breezed through to the finals and was on the verge of representing the UK, but she stepped down, wary that a Eurovision connection might sour her prospects in the music world. "I was very excited," she confessed to Idris Elba on his 2022 podcast. "But I felt that it was not my time and that this was not my path in the music industry." She heeded advice from her manager Sarah Stennett, who posited that participating in Eurovision could hinder her quest to be taken seriously as an artist. Subsequently, Jade Ewen took her place, performing It's My Time and securing fifth position for the UK, an impressive achievement given recent standings. In 2023, Rita graced the Eurovision stage, though not as a contender but as a star guest, dazzling with a selection of her chart-toppers at the Liverpool semi-final. She described the experience as "a full circle moment". Katie Price similarly made headlines when she retrospectively declared that she was "stitched up" during her Eurovision bid in 2005 following her stint on ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here. The ex-model embarked on a foray into pop music, clinching 29 percent of the public vote – just shy of Javine Hylton, who edged her out by one percent. Javine represented the UK with Touch My Fire and came 22nd. Sporting a hot-pink rubber catsuit while seven months pregnant, Katie Price joined the competition in Eurovision: Making Your Mind Up. Facing off against an eclectic mix of pop hopefuls including Steps' Lisa Scott-Lee's brother; Javine Hylton, narrowly missing out on Girls Aloud three years before; and Gina G, eager for a comeback with her tune 'Ooh Aah... Just a Little Bit', Price entered the fray. On Loose Women, Katie later confessed: "I was burning with anger and humiliation," feeling that the experience had left her musical reputation diminished. "I felt as if I was in a worse position than before regarding my music. I felt that my credibility had been damaged." Meanwhile, Anthony Costa from the boyband Blue, scored 11th at Eurovision 2011, but his earlier attempt for solo glory in 2006 didn't take off. The up-and-coming singer put forward a ballad titled It's A Beautiful Thing during the UK's Eurovision selection, aiming to win hearts and a ticket to the grand competition. However, the crowd decided differently, favouring Daz Sampson's unconventional school-themed rap 'Teenage Life', which ultimately staggered into 19th place in Athens with a mere 25 points. Anthony's solo effort may have been discreetly swept aside, but he didn't miss his chance for a comeback as he re-joined forces with the Blue boys in 2011. Their Eurovision number I Can was a breath of fresh air for the UK, storming into the top 15 and charming listeners all over Europe. Before she served ale on the cobbles of Coronation Street, Kym Marsh was wowing audiences with her vocal prowess and even took a shot at flying the flag for the UK in Eurovision. Despite being a household name back in 2006, the former Hear'Say vocalist and now soap favourite didn't manage to clinch the public's backing with her tune Whisper To Me during the national selection round. Her rise to fame wasn't new though. Kym first grabbed headlines in 2001 with pop sensation Hear'Say, following their smash hit Pure and Simple hitting the chart summit. Yet, as swiftly as they soared to success, Hear'Say crumbled, prompting Kym to part ways and venture into solo waters. Come 2006, Kym made an attempt at a musical comeback through Eurovision but only took fourth place amongst six contenders on BBC's 'Making Your Mind Up', ultimately losing out to Daz and his track Teenage Life. Kym reflected on the Eurovision endeavour stating: "I thought it would be a bit of fun and it would have been a lovely thing to represent my country," although conceding to the premonitions she'd heard about the contest being "a bit cheesy".

Popstars winners Hear'Say today - from Dancing On Ice champ to Coronation Street

Hear'Say were the original reality TV pop band who shot to fame when they won the reality show Popstars in 2001 with hit single Pure and Simple, but where are they now? Hear'Say catapulted to stardom in 2001 after clinching victory in the popular singing contest Popstars, but have since gone their separate ways. Back in 2000, thousands of aspiring singers flocked to auditions for ITV's talent show, Popstars. The hopefuls were evaluated by Nigel Lythgoe, Paul Adam and Nicki Chapman, who had previously worked with the Spice Girls. ‌ The five selected vocalists formed Hear'Say, while the five runners-up went on to create the band Liberty X. The pop group's achievements set the stage for success for its members - Danny Foster, Myleene Klass, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw and Noel Sullivan. ‌ During their time together, they dominated the charts with their hit single Pure and Simple and their album titled Popstars – both the single and the album secured the number one spots at the time. 2001 saw the band achieve so much, going from strength to strength and garnering an impressive fan base. Due to Kym's unwavering popularity, she fast became the most famous member - which was partly down to the fact that she was dating EastEnders ' actor Jack Ryder at the time. Everything fell apart for the band when Kym announced she was leaving in 2002 – but what have the Hear'Say members been up to since they went their separate ways? Kym Marsh As we discovered earlier on, Kym left the band in 2002 to 'pursue solo ventures' – but she later revealed that not all was what it seemed. Rumours have often swirled around whether or not there were feuds among the bandmates, and apparently, this was the case. ‌ Kym apparently clashed with Myleene Klass and Noel Sullivan – which is part of the reason the band split. Jumping ship from music to acting, Kym moved to the cobbled streets and joined the cast of Coronation Street in 2006. Fans will remember the brunette beauty joining the soap as Michelle Connor, where she was a part of some huge storylines. She ended up staying in the soap for 13 years and announced her departure in 2019. ‌ Myleene Klass Mylene is another successful former member of Hear'Say and has gone on to have a glowing career since the band broke up. One year after the band split, she signed a five-album deal with Universal Classics and Jazz, with a classical music album being released a year later in 2003. She's had number ones and number twos in the UK chart – going from strength-to-strength as a classical music artist. Myleene has also had a glowing career on TV and has often popped up on our screens. ‌ Most will remember the stunning brunette star for appearing on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here in 2006 – yes, she was responsible for the slew of iconic shower scenes! In 2010, she also hosted Popstar to Operastar – keeping her work within the realm of her classical music expertise. And you may recognise her dulcet tones from presenting her own radio show on Smooth Radio. Suzanne Shaw ‌ Suzanne Shaw was just 21 when Hear'Say split, but this didn't prevent her from making a name for herself and hitting the big time. She went on to perform on the West End and was the narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat in 2005. After that, she starred as Janet in The Rocky Horror Show national tour. A couple of years after her theatre stin,t she went on to star in The Bill in 2007. Fans of the band or those who love the soaps might recognise her from her role of Eve Birch in Emmerdale, or from when she won Dancing on Ice in 2008. More recently,y she's dipped her toe into panto and in 2021 she played Belle in Beauty and the Beast at Chesterfield's Pomegranate Theatre. ‌ Danny Foster Danny Foster hasn't really stayed in the public eye since the breakdown of the super band, but he's doing pretty well. He's thought to still be singing, while in the band, Danny Foster & The Big Soul Corporation, which has a focus on performing Motown songs. His dream of making it big has never gone away though and in 2013 he auditioned for The Voice but sadly didn't make it through. Danny's social media presence is very low-key, and he has just under 4K followers on Instagram. ‌ Posting snippets of his life with wife Victoria Goddard, Danny appears to be incredibly spiritual and his bio says he's, "on a mission - creating life of well-being" along with "spreading love". Noel Sullivan Noel Sullivan is a Welsh singer and actor who has gone on to have a brilliant career since his stint in the band and its subsequent downfall. Like Suzanne, he has gone on to star in many stage productions, including Fame and as Danny in Grease on the West End. In 2010, he appeared in the hit rom-com TV series Gavin and Stacey. Noel announced he got hitched in 2017 to his husband James.

Roy Keane's spontaneous Eni Aluko remark catches Ian Wright by surprise

Ex-Republic of Ireland captain Roy Keane left Ian Wright in hysterics with his quick-witted response to Jill Scott. As the pundit insisted she didn't cover many women's games these days, Keane suddenly interrupted by questioning whether it was "because of Ian". Keane's quip referenced Eni Aluko's recent remarks that Arsenal legend Wright's prominence in women's football punditry was hindering opportunities for other female voices in the media. Wright, a vocal supporter of the women's game and a regular panellist for England fixtures, found himself at the centre of friendly fire during the light-hearted exchange. Ex-England stars Scott and Aluko have followed different trajectories since hanging up their boots – with Scott segueing into stardom through ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here and becoming a regular fixture on Sky Sports' The Overlap podcast with the likes of Keane, Wright, Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher. Aluko, on the other hand, has expressed that her media chances have been scarce and suggested Wright's status may be an obstacle to her and other women in the industry. The moment unfolded when Scott said: "I don't do many of the women's games and stuff because I'm..." before Keane interjected with his witty remark, playfully aiming it at Wright and sparking laughter around the table, reports the Mirror. Aluko originally said: "I've worked with Ian a long time and I think he's a brilliant broadcaster. But I think he's aware of just how much he's doing in the women's game. I think he should be aware of that. "There is a limited amount of space available. I can't dominate the men's game in the way that – you know, you used Ian as an example – Ian is dominating the women's game. "We need to make sure that women are not being blocked from having a pathway to broadcasting in the women's game. "It is still new, it is still growing. There is a very fine amount of opportunities and I think that men need to be aware of that." However, after facing intense backlash, Aluko backtracked on her criticism, apologised, and claimed she was attempting to "make a broader point". She confessed that "it was wrong for lan's name to be raised". The Arsenal legend wasn't looking for reconciliation despite her apology, however. "I've got to say, I'm very disappointed about what Eni has said," Wright said. "She knows how I've helped her, supported her publicly, and I know the previous conversations she's had with me and my management. "I've seen the apology on social media, but I can't accept it. But I also want to move on."
