Upcoming ramp closure for Town of Cicero
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Prepare for delays on I-81 northbound. According to the NYSDOT, the I-81 northbound off-ramp to Exit 29N (State Route 481 North/Oswego) in the Town of Cicero. Work will take place from 9 p.m. Monday, June 2, through 4 a.m. Tuesday, June 3. The closure is to facilitate paving as part of the I-81 Viaduct Project. Two more I-81, I-481 closures to lookout for in CNY
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Be mindful of the following ramp and lane closures. The NYSDOT said I-81 southbound will be reduced to one lane between the on-ramp to Interstate 690 eastbound and Exit 18 (Adams St/Harrison St) in the City of Syracuse. Work will take place, weekdays beginning Tuesday, May 27, and last through Friday, June 6. You can expect construction between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The NYSDOT said the closure is for bridge facilitations. In the Town of DeWitt, the I-481 on-ramp to Exit 6 (New York State Thruway) will be closed. You can expect this beginning Tuesday, May 27 at 9 a.m., and it will last through Friday, June 13, at 3 p.m. The NYSDOT said the work is for paving, which is part of the I-81 Viaduct Project. SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — As the weather begins to warm, construction kicks into full gear — with a few I-81 closures coming up that you should look out for. Lane closures on I-81 southbound in the City of Syracuse I-81 southbound will be reduced to one lane between Exits 23A-23B-22 (Hiawatha Blvd/Destiny USA Dr/Bear St) and Exit 20 (Franklin St/West St) in the city. You can expect closures beginning Monday, May 19, through Thursday, May 22, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for bridge work as part of the I-81 Viaduct Project. Lane closures on I-81 northbound in the Town of Salina I-81 northbound will be reduced to one lane between Exits 27-28 (Syracuse Airport/Taft Road/N. Syracuse) and the on-ramp to Interstate 81 northbound from the service road in the Town of Salina. This work will take place from 7 a.m. through 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, for bridge work. Overnight closure on I-81 northbound at Exit 16A, City of Syracuse I-81 northbound will be closed to traffic between Exit 16A (Interstate 481 north) and the Interstate 481 southbound on-ramp to Interstate 81 northbound in the city. Beginning Wednesday, May 21, work will take place from 7 p.m. through 6 a.m. on weeknights, and last through Friday, May 23. The closure is for paving, as part of the Interstate 81 Viaduct Project. Syracuse I-81 bridge work to close lanes
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — More work is set in motion for the Interstate 81 Viaduct Project. The New York State Department of Transportation wants to alert drivers of lane closures in Syracuse to facilitate bridge work as part of the I-81 Viaduct Project. The NYSDOT said beginning Monday, May 19, through Thursday, May 22, and again from Tuesday, May 27, through Friday, May 30, that I-81 south will be closed down to one one lane between Exits 23A-23B-22 (Hiawatha Blvd/Destiny USA Dr/Bear St) and Exit 20 (Franklin St/West St). Overnight lane closures planned for I-81 N
ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Overnight traffic might affect your evening commute. At least for drivers heading north on Interstate 81 as the NYSDOT has announced overnight lane closures planned for I-81 north in the Towns of Salina and Cicero. Beginning Tuesday May 6, the NYSDOT said I-81 north will be shut down to one lane between Exits 27-28 (Syracuse Airport/Taft Rd/N Syracuse) and Exit 98 (NY 31/Cicero/Bridgeport) and that the closure is to facilitate setting steel on the South Bay Road bridge over I-81 as part of the I-81 Viaduct Project. The closure will run from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., beginning Tuesday, May 6, through Friday, May 9. Construction is weather-dependent.
