After being stopped from unveiling the trailer in cinema hall, The Bengal Files promo launch faces fresh roadblock at Kolkata hotel

But once again, political intervention seems to have played spoilsport, as the Bengal government reportedly made attempts to stall the event, preventing the filmmaker from showcasing his work. The trailer of the film has been launched in Kolkata today, August 16 which also marks the Direct Action Day. Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri reveals India's biggest cinema chain has cancelled The Bengal Files trailer launch due to political pressure

Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's The Bengal Files has been one of the most anticipated films of the year. Known for his bold and courageous storytelling, Vivek is once again set to bring India's buried history to the big screen. Vivek Agnihotri treats with 'The Bengal Files' promo ahead of the 'Never Again USA Tour'
Mumbai: After delivering two hard-hitting dramas in the form of "The Tashkent Files", and "The Kashmir Files", filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is all set to treat the movie lovers with the final chapter in the 'truth trilogy' — "The Bengal Files". Ahead of the theatrical release of the movie on September 5 this year, "The Bengal Files" will be getting an international premiere in July. The overseas journey of the drama will commence with the USA tour. The "Never Again" tour of the movie will premiere on July 19 and conclude on August 10. Vivek Agnihotri takes jibe at John Abraham's Goal, slams stardom system in Bollywood
Director Vivek Agnihotri recently recalled his shooting experience with John Abraham during 'Dhan Dhana Dan Goal' (2007). Agnihotri mentioned that he faced challenges while working on the film with Abraham while blaming Bollywood's stardom system that relies on popular 'The Bengal Files' director, in an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, stated that Abraham was cast in the sports-drama since he was himself a footballer.
