IBPS Clerk exam date 2025: Check full schedule, exam pattern, selection process, and registration details
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the short notification for the IBPS Clerk 2025 examination on 29 July 2025. Rebranded as the CRP-CSA (Common Recruitment Process for Recruitment of Customer Service Associates), this year's exam marks the fifteenth cycle and is officially titled CRP CSA-XV. The recruitment will fill clerical-level vacancies in 11 participating public sector banks across India.
IBPS Clerk exam 2025 dates and registration schedule
According to the notification, online registration for the IBPS Clerk 2025 exam will begin on 1 August 2025 and conclude on 21 August 2025. The preliminary examination is scheduled for 4, 5, and 11 October 2025, while the mains examination will be held on 29 November 2025. The provisional allotment is expected to be completed by March 2026. The detailed notification, including vacancy figures, will be published on the official website, by 31 July 2025.

The Preliminary Examination is designed to assess aptitude and language proficiency. It includes three sections—English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability—with a total of 100 questions and a duration of 60 minutes. Each section is allocated 20 minutes, and candidates must meet the minimum cut-off in all three sections to qualify for the Mains.

IBPS Clerk exam 2025: Scoring and selection criteria
In both examinations, a penalty of one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question will be applied for each incorrect answer. No penalty is levied on unanswered questions.
Only marks obtained in the Mains Examination will be considered for the final selection. Candidates must qualify in the Mains exam to be included in the merit list, which is prepared category-wise based on the aggregate score out of 100.
IBPS Clerk exam 2025: Application and eligibility requirements
The application process is entirely online. Candidates must have a valid email ID, scanned photographs and signatures, and the necessary documents for fee payment. The application is compatible with browsers such as Google Chrome 3.0+, Mozilla Firefox 3.0+, and Internet Explorer 8.0+.
The application fee is Rs. 175 for candidates from SC, ST, and PWD categories, and Rs. 850 for candidates from the General and other categories.
Candidates must be graduates and aged between 20 and 28 years, with birth dates between 2 July 1996 and 1 July 2004. Age relaxation is applicable for certain categories as per IBPS norms.

The total number of vacancies for 2025 will be confirmed in the detailed notification. In the previous recruitment cycle, IBPS had announced 6,128 clerical posts, the highest in two years.
