Fredericton man charged with child pornography, luring charges
A 36-year-old Fredericton man is facing child pornography and child luring charges after an investigation by the New Brunswick RCMP's Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit. The RCMP started investigating in July after receiving information from the National Child Exploitation Crime Centre. RCMP and Fredericton Police Force officers executed a search warrant at a home in Fredericton on Feb. 25. They arrested a man at the scene and seized several electronic devices. Travis Carrier was released on conditions pending a future court appearance. Carrier appeared in Fredericton provincial court on Thursday. He is facing the following charges: possession of child pornography transmission of child pornography luring a child he believed to be under the age of 18 to commit an offence luring a child he believed to be under the age of 16 to commit an offence failure to comply with an undertaking Carrier is due back in court on July 24. The RCMP says it received information from the Orange County Sheriff's Office during the investigation that helped it lay additional charges in the case. " This is a good example of how we can partner with other agencies to achieve successful outcomes in criminal investigations," said Martine Losier-Roy from the New Brunswick RCMP.' The RCMP says anyone with information about suspected child sexual exploitation should report it to their local police, Canada's national tip line at or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Brantford man facing child porn charges
A 39-year-old from Brantford has been charged with accessing and possessing child pornography. The Brantford Police Service's Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit carried out a search warrant at home on March 31. They were tipped off, police said, by the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children and the RCMP. During the search, officers seized computers, cellphones and other electronics. Police later found evidence of child pornography on those devices. On June 26, they arrested a 39-year-old man, who has not been named. He was charged with one count of accessing child pornography and two counts of possessing child pornography. 'The Brantford Police ICE Unit are continuing their investigations,' a media release said. 'Police believe that further individuals will be arrested, and charges will be laid as they continue their investigation and forensically examine the seized electronic devices.'

Camperdown man charged with child pornography offences: N.S. RCMP

The RCMP's Provincial Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Camperdown Road on Thursday and arrested a 27-year-old man. 'Investigators were directed to the residence after a social media application notified law enforcement that child pornography had been transmitted using their service,' reads a news release from the Nova Scotia RCMP. Randy Rehberg has been charged with: possession of child pornography distribution of child pornography make written child pornography Rehberg was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Bridgewater provincial court on Sept. 3. 'In Nova Scotia it is mandatory for citizens to report suspected child pornography; anyone who comes across child pornography material or recordings must report it to the police. Failure to report could result in penalties similar to those for failure to report child abuse set out in the Child and Family Services Act,' reads the release. Regina man facing multiple child pornography charges
A 24-year-old Regina man is facing multiple child pornography related charges after police seized several electronic devices from a home in the city on Tuesday. According to the Saskatchewan Child Exploitation Unit (ICE), an online investigation was launched in February relating to child exploitation. As a result of the investigation 24-year-old Sandeep Kumar was charged with possession of child pornography, making available child pornography and accessing child pornography. Kumar made his first court appearance on Wednesday and was released on numerous conditions. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 11 at Regina provincial court, the ICE Unit said.

Middleton man facing child pornography charges after N.S. RCMP search home

(CTV News Regina) A 32-year-old Middleton, N.S., man is facing child pornography charges after police searched his home as part of a nationwide investigation into online child sexual exploitation in February. The RCMP's Provincial Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit executed a search warrant at the home on Main Street on February 27. Police say they seized several electronic devices, including smartphones, computers and a hard drive. 'On May 1, after a forensic examination and analysis of the seized devices, the RCMP ICE Unit, with assistance from the RCMP Interview Assistance Team, safely arrested Devin Doucette,' reads a news release from the RCMP. Doucette has been charged with possession of child pornography and failure to comply with prohibition order. Doucette appeared in Digby provincial court on May 1 and was released by the court on conditions. He is scheduled to return to court on June 9. Project Steel 'This investigation was part of Project Steel, a collaborative effort by law enforcement partners across Canada to target online child sexual exploitation offenders,' reads the release. Sixty-three police forces across Canada conducted Project Steel between Feb. 17 and 28. According to a national RCMP news release on March 5, police seized 1,132 electronic devices, arrested 106 people, and safeguarded 37 children in connection with the operation.
