ICIL is among the key promoter groups of the Gurugram-headquartered Bharti Airtel. ICIL Sells Shares In Bharti Airtel According to the bulk deal data available on the NSE, Indian Continent Investment Ltd offloaded a total of 6 crore equity shares in two tranches or a 0.98 per cent stake in Bharti Airtel. The shares were disposed of in the price range of Rs 1,870.40-1,871.95 apiece, taking the combined deal value to Rs 11,227.05 crore. After the latest transaction, ICIL's holding in Bharti Airtel has come down to 1.49 per cent from 2.47 per cent. Also, the holding of promoters has reduced to 50.27 per cent from 51.25 per cent. Meanwhile, Bharti Telecom Ltd remained the largest promoter entity with a 40.47 per cent stake. Details of the buyers of Bharti Airtel's shares could not be ascertained on the exchange. Bharti Airtel Share After Q1 Results Shares of Bharti Airtel fell 3.28 per cent to close at Rs 1,859.50 apiece on the NSE. On Tuesday, Bharti Airtel reported a 43 pc year-on-year increase in its consolidated profit at Rs 5,947.9 crore in the first quarter ended June 2025. The company had posted a profit of Rs 4,160 crore in the same period a year ago. The consolidated revenue from operations of Bharti Airtel increased by 28.4 per cent to Rs 49,463 crore during the reporting quarter from Rs 38,506.4 crore in the June quarter of the last year, the company said. Bharti Airtel's India revenue increased by 29 per cent YoY to Rs 37,585 crore. Its average revenue per user (ARPU), a key matrix to determine a telecom operator's growth, in India increased to Rs 250 during the quarter under review compared to Rs 211 in the same period a year ago. Airtel promoter offloads another 0.98% stake; mop up $1.3 bn via block deal
Indian Continent Investment Ltd (ICIL), a promoter entity of Bharti Airtel, on Friday sold 60 million shares at about ₹1,871 apiece to mop up ₹11,227 crore ($1.3 billion) – marking one of the largest block deals in the domestic markets. Names of the buyers weren't disclosed by the stock exchanges. However, banking sources said it included foreign and domestic funds. Shares of Bharti Airtel fell 3.4 per cent to end at ₹1,859 on Friday — most among Sensex components. With a market capitalisation of ₹10.8 trillion, Airtel is the fourth most valuable company in the country. This is the second time ICIL has sold a stake in the past year.

Bharti Airtel Shares Drop 3% As Promoter Sells Stake In Rs 12,500 Crore Block Deal
New Delhi: Bharti Airtel shares fell 3 per cent to an intraday low of Rs 1,868.70 on the BSE on Friday, August 8, after promoter group entity Indian Continent Investment Ltd (ICIL) sold a 1.2 per cent stake through a block deal. Bharti Airtel's promoter entity, Indian Continent Investment, is likely to sell a 0.8 per cent stake in the company through a block deal, according to Moneycontrol. The transaction is expected to be worth around Rs 9,310 crore, with the floor price likely set at Rs 1,862 per share. The sale is purely secondary, so there will be no equity dilution or new shares issued. All proceeds will go to the seller, Indian Continent Investment Ltd. The deal comes with a 90-day lock-up, meaning the seller can't make similar sales during this period. The books are set to close around 7:30 AM IST on August 8, but could shut earlier if investor demand is strong. Jefferies India and J.P. Morgan India are handling the block deal as joint placement agents. On Thursday, Bharti Airtel's shares ended flat at Rs 1,924.35 on the BSE.
