Ex-employee, 3 juveniles among 7 held for dacoity
New Delhi: Police have apprehended seven people, including three juveniles, in connection with a dacoity at a hotel in west Delhi's Punjabi Bagh during the early hours of May 29. According to police, the heist was planned by a former housekeeping staff member of the hotel. The accused, who was familiar with the hotel's operations, knew that substantial cash was often kept in the reception area. The former employee allegedly recruited six associates to execute the plan. During the robbery, four men armed with daggers entered the premises of Hotel Saffron Golden, located on North Avenue Road, around 2 am, while three accomplices maintained surveillance outside. There, they threatened the staff, stole approximately Rs 50,000 and several mobile phones, and fled the scene. Investigations revealed that the robbers had arrived on two motorcycles. One of the intruders, dressed as a delivery person, had visited the hotel for reconnaissance about 30 minutes before the dacoity. Police also discovered that one of the motorcycles used by the suspects was reported stolen from Sudarshan Park, Moti Nagar, the previous night. He then devised the plan to rob the hotel, enlisting the help of his friends from Basai Darapur and Sudarshan Park. He also admitted to stealing the motorcycle used in the crime. Based on the information obtained during interrogation, further raids were conducted, resulting in the apprehension of all seven individuals involved in the heist, including three juvenile offenders.

Metro trains start running in Indore as PM inaugurates first phase
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the first phase of the Indore metro project through video link from Bhopal, marking the beginning of the first metro rail service in Madhya Pradesh. Speaking at the Women Empowerment Mega Conference in Bhopal on the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar, Modi said, "Madhya Pradesh has received its first metro today. Indore has already earned global recognition for its cleanliness. Now, the city will also be known for its metro." Commercial operations started on Saturday on the approximately 6 km 'Super Priority Corridor' between Gandhi Nagar Station and Station No 3 of the 'Super Corridor', officials said.
