We ran around the floors of the Guildhall in London and asked attendees one simple question: 'How many IFGS have you been to?' The answers revealed an interesting mix of first-timers and seasoned veterans: 'This is my first IFGS event — I have been so impressed with the people and conversations I've had.' 'I've been to all eleven!' 'This is my fourth one.' 'First one today – I'm loving it.' UK sets out new crypto rules, date for wider financial services strategy
LONDON, April 29 (Reuters) - British finance minister Rachel Reeves announced on Tuesday that the government was setting out new draft legislation for regulating crypto assets and would give a broader financial services strategy on July 15. "Financial services is one of the key growth-driving sectors in the UK for modern industrial strategy," Reeves said in a speech at the IFGS fintech conference in London. "With fintech as a priority ... I look forward to publishing the financial services growth and competitiveness strategy at my upcoming Mansion House address, which I can today confirm will take place on 15th July."
