Hafizabad incident: IG Punjab orders transparent probe
LAHORE: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken notice of the incident in Hafizabad where employee Waseem Riaz allegedly died due to torture by influential persons.
IGP Punjab has sought a report from RPO Gujranwala. IG Punjab has directed DPO Hafizabad to conduct a transparent inquiry into the matter and, if the torture on the citizen is proven, to ensure the immediate arrest of those involved.
