Rai and Patel claim victory in a nail-biting IGS Masters Season finale at Dubai Creek

The Indian Golfers Society (IGS) wrapped up another exciting season with the IGS Masters at the stunning Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club on Thursday, March 13. The season-ending tournament brought together a full field of golfers of varying handicaps, creating a competitive yet camaraderie-filled atmosphere. Pranav Rai emerged victorious in Division A, carding an impressive 39 Individual Stableford points off a 17 handicap. Reflecting on his win, Rai expressed his excitement at competing in such a prestigious event. 'I always look forward to the IGS Masters—it's a fantastic event that brings together so many good friends and passionate golfers,' Rai said. 'Competing in it is always a highlight of my year, and to come away with the win this time makes it even more special.' Close on his heels, Kush Sama took second place with 38 points, followed by Karan Seth, who posted 37 points. In Division B, Asgar Patel, playing off a 33 handicap, matched Khanna's score of 39 Stableford points to claim the top spot. Delighted with his performance, Patel praised the event's format and was already looking ahead to the next season. 'The IGS Masters as a season finale is a fantastic concept,' Patel said. 'It's an exciting way to end the season, and I can't wait to be back for the next tournament in October.' D. Pal finished in second place with 38 points, while Gurbax Singh rounded out the top three with 36 points. A Celebration of Golf More than just a competition, the IGS Masters is a celebration of the Indian golfing community in Dubai. Ashok Sindhu, a member of the IGS Management Committee, emphasized the importance of such gatherings. 'Events like the IGS Masters bring together our members, fostering friendships and strengthening our community,' Sindhu said. 'It's always great to see so many passionate golfers coming together to enjoy the game while building lasting connections.'
