Mobile campaign to highlight business, management courses
Visakhapatnam: In a step to make management and technology education more accessible to students across the region, 'admissions on wheels' was launched in Visakhapatnam on Friday. After launching it, IIAM business school officials mentioned that the the first of its kind mobile campaign aimed at taking higher education opportunities to the doorstep of aspiring students. The initiative will facilitate on-the-spot counselling and admissions into BBA and BCA programmes affiliated to Andhra University and AICTE-approved post graduate diploma in management (PGDM). The mobile admission unit, equipped with trained counsellors and digital facilities, will travel across various towns and cities, guiding students through the application process, clarifying course details. Former VC of Acharya Nagarjuna University V Balamohan Das, Director general, IIAM V Krishna Mohan, dean and director SP Ravindra, among others, flagged off the campaign.

NEP-2020, a roadmap to redefine country's educational landscape
Visakhapatnam: National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 is not just a policy but a roadmap to redefine India's educational landscape, said former Vice-Chancellor of Adikavi Nannaya University K. Nirupa Rani. Attending as chief guest at a workshop 'Academic Leadership in the Context of NEP-2020 Reforms', organised by the Integral Institute of Advanced Management (IIAM) at the campus here on Saturday, she stated that academic leaders must embrace flexibility, innovation, and inclusivity to foster holistic learning environments. The event that engaged principals, secretaries, and correspondents of UG and PG colleges witnessed participation from academic leaders across the region. The workshop aimed to address the transformative changes brought by the NEP and equip educational administrators with the tools to implement these reforms effectively. Speaking on the occasion, Prof A Narasimha Rao, Principal of the College of Arts and Commerce, Andhra University, highlighted the role of interdisciplinary learning. Director General of IIAM Prof V Krishna Mohan underscored the institute's commitment to academic excellence. Sharing his views, IIAM director SP Ravindra said, 'The NEP-2020 reforms have brought a renaissance to India's education system. At IIAM, we are fully prepared to implement these changes and provide the right guidance for future generations. Our goal is to equip our students to compete at a global level.' Teaching methodologies, challenges in higher education brought to fore
Visakhapatnam: Integral Institute of Advanced Management (IIAM) B-School organised a workshop on 'teaching methodologies for Higher Education Institutions-in the context of NEP 2020' at its campus in Visakhapatnam. Bringing educators, academic leaders, and faculty members together to explore innovative teaching practices aligned with the National Education Policy (ΝΕΡ) 2020, the workshop aimed to enhance understanding of NEP 2020's vision and to equip faculty with modern, student-centric teaching approaches that foster critical thinking, experiential learning and interdisciplinary education. SP Ravindra, dean and director of IIAM B-School, highlighted the institution's proactive role in aligning with national educational reforms and reiterated the importance of continuous professional development for educators. The keynote address was delivered by V Krishna Mohan, director general of the B-School, former Registrar, Andhra University spoke on NEP 2020: a paradigm shift in higher education. He explained in detail various innovative processes that were introduced in the NEP through which India can become a knowledge super power. The inaugural session was led by Prof Balamohan Das, former VC of Acharya Nagarjuna University, PS Avadhani, former Principal, AU College of Engineering, among others.

Workshop on teaching methodologies for higher education institutions
Visakhapatnam: Integral Institute of Advanced Management (IIAM) B-School, Visakhapatnam is hosting a workshop on 'Teaching Methodologies for Higher Education Institutions- In the Context of NEP 2020' on June 5. The one-day workshop is conducted at its campus in MVP Colony, Visakhapatnam from 10 am. Prof. V. Krishna Mohan, Director General-IIAM, informed that the workshop is designed to provide educators, academic administrators, and faculty members insights into the evolving pedagogical practices aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. He further stated that it will focus on key themes such as outcome-based education, experiential learning, interdisciplinary curriculum design, and the effective use of technology in teaching. Distinguished experts who served as academic administrators from higher education institutions will lead the sessions, offering participants valuable perspectives and practical strategies for adapting to the dynamic landscape of higher education in the context of NEP-2020 reforms. S.P. Ravindra, dean & director of IIAM B-School, stated, 'This workshop reflects our commitment to fostering excellence in teaching and preparing educators to meet the future challenges and opportunities presented by National Education Policy- 2020.' Faculty members, researchers, and education professionals from across the region are participating in this event.
