It's Genelia D'Souza's birthday today. The ever-smiling actress, best known for her charm and versatility, has been showered with love and warm wishes across social media as she celebrated her 38th birthday. Among the many tributes, one of the most adorable moments resurfaced from the IIFA Awards 2024.
On the official Instagram handle of IIFA, a video is going viral where Genelia shared a sweet anecdote about her husband and actor Riteish Deshmukh. During a fun interaction with influencer Kusha Kapila, the Sitaare Zameen Par actress was asked about the best pickup line ever used on her. Genelia revealed, 'When I was on X (formerly Twitter), I put up these things saying, 'Best pickup lines.' Riteish, at that point, had said, 'You had me at hello,' so that's cute." To which Kusha couldn't help but respond, 'That is so cute."

Riteish Deshmukh's Birthday Post For 'Baiko"
This morning, the actor took to Instagram and dropped a heartwarming montage of the special moments from their life together. Along with the post, he penned a lengthy birthday note for his 'Baiko' (wife in Marathi).
The Raid 2 actor began the note with, 'Happy Birthday, My Baiko, My Love. Today isn't just your birthday—it's a reminder of how lucky I am to walk through life with you. You are so many things in one incredible woman: the one who makes me laugh when I least expect it, the best mother our children could ever ask for, a daughter who leads with love and respect, and a friend who shows up—always."
He continued, 'You carry more than anyone realises and still somehow give so much of yourself to everyone around you. You're the strength behind so many of our family's happiest moments, even when you're tired, even when no one sees it. You are the glue that holds us together."
Describing Genelia as the 'anchor and calm" of his life, Riteish concluded the note saying, 'You are my anchor and my calm, my favourite teammate in all of life's chaos. You are, without question, the heart of our home — and the one our kids turn to first, every single time. You inspire me to be a better person, someone worthy of having you as a partner – I guess I am just happy counting my blessings; God couldn't have been kinder to me. I love you so much, my baiko, much more than words can fully express, but I'll spend my life trying to show you. Happy Birthday, Love."
