Riyan Parag's old tweet getting viral after he smashed 6 sixes at Eden Gardens against KKR, Here's what he predicted...... New Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) kept their IPL 2025 playoff hopes alive with a sensational one-run victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in a high-octane contest at Eden Gardens on Sunday. The match had everything—power-packed batting, record-breaking moments, and a tense final-over finish. Opting to bat first, KKR posted an imposing total of 206/4 in their 20 overs. The star of their innings was Andre Russell, who returned to form in spectacular style. After a slow start, Russell exploded with an unbeaten 57 off 25 balls, including a barrage of boundaries in the final overs. His resurgence came at a critical moment, with KKR needing a win to stay in the playoff hunt. Riyan Parag's Blistering 95 Keeps RR in the Hunt In response, Rajasthan Royals mounted a fierce chase, led by their captain Riyan Parag, who played the innings of his life. The 22-year-old hammered 95 off just 45 balls, nearly pulling off an improbable win for his side. His powerful hitting and smart shot selection brought RR within touching distance of the target, injecting life into a chase that initially seemed out of reach. A Dream Fulfilled: Parag Hits Six Sixes in a Row Parag's knock featured a historic moment: six consecutive sixes—five in a single over off KKR all-rounder Moeen Ali, followed by one more off Varun Chakaravarthy. Moeen's over cost KKR 32 runs, swinging momentum firmly in RR's favor. Parag's ability to read the bowlers and clear the ropes with ease left fans and pundits alike in awe. Manifestation Becomes Reality for Parag Adding to the drama was a personal subplot—Parag's old tweet from 2023, where he had manifested hitting four sixes in an over, resurfaced after the match. That dream was not only fulfilled but exceeded, as Parag smashed six in a row in front of a packed Eden Gardens. The moment quickly went viral, becoming one of the most talked-about highlights of the season. Heartbreak for Royals Despite Parag's Heroics Despite the breathtaking performance, Rajasthan Royals fell short by just one run. Parag's dismissal in the 18th over shifted the balance back to KKR. RR struggled to find boundaries in the final overs and couldn't finish the job, officially knocking themselves out of playoff contention. It was a harsh reminder of how close games can slip away in T20 cricket. Parag Reflects on Missed Opportunities Speaking after the match, a visibly dejected Parag admitted that his early departure had cost the team. 'I was planning to stay till the last 2 overs, but I got out in the 18th. It was a miscalculation,' he said. He also reflected on RR's bowling strategy, suggesting that better decisions could have made the difference in such a tightly fought game. My inner conscience says i'm hitting 4 sixes in an over at some point this IPL.. — Riyan Paragg (@ParagRiyan) March 14, 2023 Andre Russell's Comeback Powers KKR While Parag dominated headlines, Andre Russell's explosive finish was crucial to KKR's win. From 2 runs off 10 balls to an eventual 57 off 25 *, Russell's late assault changed the course of the match. Even Parag acknowledged his brilliance, saying, 'The way he accelerated after that, it was great to watch.' Russell's return to form couldn't have come at a better time for KKR as they march forward in the tournament.

Riyan Parag's Old Tweet Goes Viral After 6 Sixes Mayhem In IPL 2025
Kolkata Knight Riders kept their IPL 2025 playoffs hopes alive with a thrilling victory over Rajasthan Royals on Sunday at the Eden Gardens. Opting to bat, KKR posted a whopping total of 206/4 in 20 overs with Andre Russell regaining his form and hitting 57* off 25 balls. Later, RR's had almost clinched a stunning win but KKR bounced back and won the match by just one run. The biggest star for RR was their captain Riyan Parag, who hammered 95 off 45 balls and kept his side in the hunt. During his 95-run knock, Parag also had a 'dream comes true' moment, when he smashed six back-to-back sixes. In the 13th over of RR's chase, Parag hit five consecutive sixes off Moeen Ali as the KKR all-rounder leaked 32 runs. Later on the second delivery of the 14th over, Parag hit another six off Varun Chakarvarthy and completed his six sixes. This moment became a special one for Parag as two years ago, before the beginning of IPL 2023, the Assam-based cricketer had shared a post on X (formerly Twitter), where he had manifested about hitting four sixes in an over. My inner conscience says i'm hitting 4 sixes in an over at some point this IPL.. — Riyan Paragg (@ParagRiyan) March 14, 2023 Two years later, he achieved more than his manifestation as he went on to hit six back-to-back sixes. Despite playing a memorable knock, RR, who are already eliminated from the playoffs race, faced an one-run defeat over KKR. "I was planning to stay till the last 2 overs, but unfortunately I got out in the 18th over. It was a miscalculation from my side. I think we could have found better options in the last 6 overs. Maybe other bowling options. No one to complain but ourselves, we should have finished it. We could have done something else in hindsight," said Parag during the post-match presentation. "He (Russell) was 2 off 10 balls and the way he accelerated after that, it was great to watch. It's a ground where sixes are hit. The wicket was a little tricky, so I had to pick my battles. I think I did it pretty well, until the time I got out. I have been telling that to myself, feels off to give an interview (as the losing captain.) We weren't clinical on the field and the consequences are here," he added.

Riyan Parag's old manifestation tweet goes viral after 5-sixes in an over blitz against KKR: ‘My inner conscience says…'
Riyan Parag lit up Eden Gardens on Sunday evening with his breathtaking show with the bat against Kolkata Knight Riders. The Rajasthan Royals' stand-in skipper almost took his team over the line, but in the end, KKR managed to hold their nerves slightly better and won the match by 1 run. Despite the loss, Parag did grab a lot of attention for what he did on the field with the bat. He smashed 6 sixes off successive deliveries to script history in the Indian Premier League. The carnage began in the 13th over, where Parag took on England's Moeen Ali for cleaners and smashed him for five back-to-back sixes in the over. Moeen and KKR were stunned by Parag's imperious shots, but it seems like the batter has already manifested the same in the past. He even did better than what he manifested a couple of years back in 2023. 'My inner conscience says i'm hitting 4 sixes in an over at some point this IPL..' Parag wrote on X ahead of IPL 2023. A lot has changed for Parag since the 2023 season, when he was scrutinised for not living up to expectations. Now, two years later, he has been leading the Royals in the league and breaking records. He hit six sixes in six successive legal balls -- a first in IPL -- across two overs. The 23-year-old's blitz, which included a wide in between the fourth and fifth six, began with him smacking Moeen for five sixes in an over. Then, after his partner Shimron Hetmyer took a single, he hit one over the fence off Varun Chakravarthy. Parag joined an elite list of batters to have hit five sixes in an over in the IPL after Chris Gayle (2012), Rahul Tewatia (2020), Ravindra Jadeja (2021) and Rinku Singh (2023). Meanwhile, he was dismissed in the 18th over after hitting 95 off 45 balls during the 207-run chase, as in the end, the Royals once again bottled their chances of getting two points in the last over. The 23-year-old called it a miscalculation from his side which resulted in his dismissal and the Royals losing the match in the end. 'I was planning to stay till the last 2 overs, but unfortunately I got out in the 18th over. It was a miscalculation from my side. I think we could have found better options in the last 6 overs. Maybe other bowling options. No one to complain but ourselves, we should have finished it. We could have done something else in hindsight,' he told broadcasters.

KKR vs RR IPL 2025: Riyan Parag's old tweet goes viral after six consecutive sixes; ‘My inner conscience says I'm…'
In 2023, a young Riyan Parag sent a simple message out into the universe through his X account. It simply read, 'My inner conscience says I'm hitting 4 sixes in an over at some point this IPL..' Fast forward to today, and that post has aged like fine wine after the Rajasthan Royals skipper played out of his skin against the Kolkata Knight Rider earlier today in the Indian Premier League. In a jaw-dropping display of six hitting at the iconic Eden Gardens, although in vain, Parag smashed a blistering 95 off just 45 balls that included 8 hits to the stands. Among those fireworks was five sixes in an over against off-spinner Moeen Ali in the 13th over. In fact, he hit six sixes in six balls as he hit a reverse sweep on the off side of Varun Chakravarthy in the first ball he faced in the very next over. Somewhere in the 'X' universe, Parag's inner conscience is nodding in approval with a smug face as he bettered his manifestation from 2023. In true IPL fashion, however, drama had the final say. Parag fell just one hit short from a well-deserved century as a six attempt proved to be his kryptonite. He mistimed a slower ball from Harshit Rana and was caught at long on by Vaibhav Arora. They almost pulled off an incredible victory thanks to a late charge from left-handed batsman Shubham Dubey. RR brought on Dubey as their Impact Player at the fall of Parag's wicket and what an impact he had on the chase. The southpaw's 14-ball stay almost took the away side home as he combined well with Jofra Archer. The duo ensured the scoreboard kept ticking despite the drought of boundaries as RR kept persisting towards the target of 207 despite being 7 down. Dubey hit 6, 4, and 6 in the 20th over as RR needed 3 runs to win off the last ball. However, it wasn't meant to be as KKR restricted the away side to just a single, thanks to a run out, as RR came so close yet were so far. Parag's old post has resurfaced like a cricketing time capsule, and despite RR slumping to a 9th defeat of IPL 2025, fans are celebrating his on-field heroics and off-filed 'manifestation' shenanigans. So, the moral of the story is never delete your old tweets. You never know when they'll come true in front of a packed stadium. Stay updated on all the action from the IPL 2025.
