Man killed as lorry crashes into stall, mosque fence in Sungai Buloh
SUNGAI BULOH: A 30-year-old man was killed after a lorry crashed into a motorcycle, a roadside stall, and the fence of a mosque in Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh yesterday.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations commander senior fire officer I Rosdi Hainan said the department received an emergency call regarding the incident near Masjid Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh at 1.36pm.
A team of six firefighters from the Sungai Buloh Fire and Rescue Station, equipped with one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT), arrived at the scene three minutes later.
"The accident involved a Nissan UD lorry, which collided with a motorcycle of unknown make before ploughing into a roadside stall and the mosque's perimeter fence," he said in a statement today.
He said that the victim was found unconscious and trapped beneath the lorry.
"Our personnel successfully extricated the man by 1.44pm. He was later pronounced dead at the scene by Health Ministry personnel," Rosdi said, adding that the body had been handed over to the police for further action.
