Man killed as lorry crashes into stall, mosque fence in Sungai Buloh

SUNGAI BULOH: A 30-year-old man was killed after a lorry crashed into a motorcycle, a roadside stall, and the fence of a mosque in Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh yesterday.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations commander senior fire officer I Rosdi Hainan said the department received an emergency call regarding the incident near Masjid Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh at 1.36pm.
A team of six firefighters from the Sungai Buloh Fire and Rescue Station, equipped with one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT), arrived at the scene three minutes later.
"The accident involved a Nissan UD lorry, which collided with a motorcycle of unknown make before ploughing into a roadside stall and the mosque's perimeter fence," he said in a statement today.
He said that the victim was found unconscious and trapped beneath the lorry.
"Our personnel successfully extricated the man by 1.44pm. He was later pronounced dead at the scene by Health Ministry personnel," Rosdi said, adding that the body had been handed over to the police for further action.

KUALA LUMPUR: A man was killed, believed to have been hit by a lorry in an accident in front of the Bandar Baru Mosque in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, this afternoon. Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Assistant Director of Operations, Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar, said the department received an emergency call about the incident at 1.36 pm and a team from the Sungai Buloh Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the location. He said the accident involved a Nissan UD that crashed into a hawker stall and the fence of a mosque after hitting a motorcycle. 'A 30-year-old man was found pinned under the lorry, and he was confirmed dead by a medical team at the scene,' he said. The body was then handed over to the police for further action.

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said it received a distress call at 1.36pm about the incident near Masjid Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh and deployed a team to the scene, as reported by the New Straits Times. 'The accident involved a Nissan UD lorry, which collided with a motorcycle of unknown make before ploughing into a roadside stall and the mosque's perimeter fence,' said operations commander Rosdi Hainan in a statement. 'Our personnel successfully extricated the man by 1.44pm. He was later pronounced dead at the scene by Health Ministry personnel,' he added. Rosdi said the man was found unconscious and trapped beneath the lorry when the rescue team arrived. The team of six firefighters from the Sungai Buloh Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the location just three minutes after receiving the call. The victim's body was handed over to the police for further action. No other injuries were reported in the incident. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
