TDT | Manama Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh announced that the Secretariat-General has obtained two international ISO certifications—ISO 27001:2022 for Information Security Management and ISO 20000-1:2018 for IT Service Management — after successfully meeting all required audit standards. These certifications support digital and technological advancements that enhance legislative work and confirm the effectiveness of strategies pursued in this field. Operations The Chairman noted that this achievement builds on previous steps taken to modernise operations within the Secretariat-General. Under the supervision of Secretary-General Kareema Mohammed Al Abbasi, these efforts have included improvements to software, systems, and procedures. The certifications serve as international recognition of the Council's adherence to established global standards. He commended the Secretariat-General's staff for their dedication and teamwork, which have contributed to the successful completion of key projects in digital transformation, information security, and the development of electronic services that meet international benchmarks. The ISO 27001 certification is a globally recognised standard for strengthening governance and managing risks in information security. Meanwhile, ISO 20000-1 is among the leading international standards for ensuring quality and reliability in IT service management.
