Mr. Lokesh was in Kalyandurg to attend the wedding of MLA Surendra Babu's daughter, when he received information that his appointment with Mr. Modi had been confirmed, which prompted him to wind up his programmes in the district. Mr. Lokesh was scheduled to take part in the district-level meeting of party leaders and in the Tiranga Rally. He was also scheduled to participate as special guest of honour in JNTUA's 14th annual convocation on Saturday. Mr. Lokesh was expected to leave for New Delhi from Vijayawada.
