To accommodate pedestrians and traffic, sections of the track are guarded by rails which come down to stop traffic entering onto the railway lines when a train is about to pass through.

On International Level Crossing Day, they have reminded people of some important messages regarding the traffic stops.
Iarnrod Eireann said: "Trying to save some journey time, could cost you, paying for damage or paying with injury.
"Always obey level crossing warning signs and lights."
RISKY DRIVING CRACKDOWN
Awareness day comes as it's been announced that up to six stationary speed cameras will be placed at level crossings in an effort to crack down on risky driving.
The
Iarnrod Eireann said the devices are designed to be easily moved and can be installed dependant on driver behaviour.
The cameras issue an automatic €160 fine for speeding and €80 for breaking a red light.
Railway bosses said the aim of the new camera plan is to "enhance safety for rail and road users alike, including pedestrians and cyclists, by deterring risk-taking at chosen locations".
So far this year alone, 11 incidents at level crossings have resulted in people being injured or the crossing being damaged.
