Ibrahim Ali Khan Jokes About Sreeleela's Caption Game, She Has This Witty Response

New Delhi: Sreeleela recently had a lighthearted and friendly banter with Ibrahim Ali Khan on Instagram. On Tuesday, the South star dropped a set of stunning photos, in which she can be seen wearing a pretty dress. What caught Ibrahim's attention, however, was not just the pictures – it was her cheeky caption that read, 'Just realised why this month is called MAY. It MAY rain. It MAY not. It MAY be hot. Cause honestly, why not.' Ibrahim Ali Khan could not resist poking fun at her pun-laced caption. Dropping a playful comment under her post, he wrote, 'If only the caption was as good as the pictures.' Sreeleela responded with a witty comeback. She wrote, 'Okay Shakespeare. If only I had your creativity.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sreeleela (@sreeleela14) On the work front, Sreeleela is all set to make her grand Bollywood debut in the much-awaited third instalment of the Aashiqui franchise. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Basu, the romantic drama will feature Kartik Aaryan in the lead opposite her. While fans are eagerly looking forward to this fresh pairing, details regarding the film's title and official release date remain under wraps for now. In addition to this, Sreeleela will reportedly be seen in Dostana 2. According to a report published by News18 earlier this month, Sreeleela is set to replace Janhvi Kapoor in the sequel to the 2008 romantic-comedy film. A source told the publication, 'The story of Dostana 2 will remain the same but the cast and the director have been changed. Janhvi Kapoor, who was roped in to play the female lead earlier, is no longer a part of the film. Instead, the makers are considering Sreeleela for the part." Coming back to Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's son made his acting debut in Nadaaniyan, released on March 7. The Netflix original features Khushi Kapoor as the female lead.

Jugal Hansraj Defends Ibrahim Ali Khan Against Nadaaniyan Debacle: 'People Can Be Kinder'

Last Updated: Jugal Hansraj said he felt a natural fatherly instinct towards Ibrahim Ali Khan. Actor Jugal Hansraj was recently seen in Nadaaniyan as Ibrahim Ali Khan's father. The film marked Ibrahim's Bollywood debut, and as such, anticipation was high. However, the film didn't perform well, and Ibrahim was subjected to massive trolling on social media. In a recent interview, Jugal defended Ibrahim and spoke about his camaraderie with the actor. Jugal Hansraj said, 'The feedback can be constructive, not personal. People can be kinder, and that's lacking sometimes." He added, 'Being in films is a public job. One has to be ready for criticism as well as the praise. You take everything in your stride and just move on." He said, 'I am very happy with the response. It was a good experience working with the team." As for his equation with Ibrahim Ali Khan, Jugal mentioned, 'He's a wonderful guy, very well-mannered. It was an absolute delight to work with him. The affection towards him, the fatherly affection, came naturally," Jugal Hansraj had been absent from our screens for quite some time before he was seen in Mismatched. His performance in Nadaaniyan was then appreciated when the film was released on Netflix. He said, 'I get a lot of different kinds of roles now. Mismatched featured me as a flamboyant character. In Nadaaniyan, I was a doctor-father. Mismatched was my first big OTT show. I have a couple more releases this year." Meanwhile, as for Ibrahim Ali Khan, he will next be seen in Sarzameen. The film, with a patriotic theme, is described as a hard-hitting drama following an army officer's relentless mission to fight terrorism in Kashmir, with Ibrahim Ali Khan playing a crucial role. Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran also have significant, yet undisclosed, roles in the project. Directed by Kayoze Irani, the movie is co-produced by Karan Johar. Ibrahim also has another project, a sports drama titled Diler, in the works. The film reportedly revolves around the life of a marathoner and stars South actress Sreeleela opposite him. Karan Johar Says Hating On Nadaaniyan Became ‘Fashionable': ‘If I Hadn't Produced It…'

Last Updated: Karan Johar took responsibility for backlash against Nadaaniyan, starring Ibrahim Ali Khan-Khushi Kapoor, saying the film wouldn't have faced such hate if he hadn't produced it. Karan Johar recently opened up about the massive backlash over Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor starrer Nadaaniyan. He said that hating on the film became 'fashionable' and the more hate content creators were putting out, the more engagement they were getting. He said that he felt terrible for Ibrahim Ali Khan, Khushi Kapoor and director Shauna Gautam, because he feels they got so much hate largely because of his involvement as a producer. He felt the criticism to them was unfair, and he took responsibility, believing the hate was meant for him, not them. While speaking with Galatta Plus, Karan Johar said, 'I remember we reached out to certain YouTubers like 'Calm down. Can we just forget Nadaaniyan?' They were like 'But every time we write about it, we get so many views.' The moment we stop writing about it, we are losing our followers. We want more followers. So even hating on Nadaaniyan became fashionable. The more you hate on it, the more videos you put out, the more engagement you will get. People are loving nepo kid bashing and I am like 'move on.'" He further added, 'More than anything else, I was feeling terrible for…and I know that I'm apparently not supposed to say this also. Because I am not supposed to show sympathy to Ibrahim or Khushi or Shauna. Because they were all first timers. Apparently, they are not meant to have emotions, because they come from privilege. So hate on them. They're not meant to feel bad at all because they come from entitlement. They come from privilege." However, he added that they also have emotions, and are making their first steps in the business. 'Why you saying it ten times? I think it's because of me. I feel all the hate is all mine. It's not even theirs. If I had not produced this film, I don't think Shauna, Ibrahim or Khushi would get the kind of hate they did. And I feel terrible. And I feel like I have to take accountability of this that I think it's me. I attract this kind of negativity and hatred," he said. Nadaaniyan marked Shauna Gautam's directorial debut. The film starred Ibrahim Ali Khan, Khushi Kapoor alongside Mahima Chaudhry, Dia Mirza, Suniel Shetty, and Jugal Hansraj. It released on Netflix on 7th march, 2025. First Published:
