Anthropologie's viral Icon Juice Glasses are the $16 little luxury we can't stop talking about
If you're an avid viewer of coffee-making videos or shopping hauls on Instagram and TikTok like I am, you've also likely seen Anthropologie's viral Icon Juice Glasses that content creators say make their morning brew even more of a treat. But are they worth it? I've been using these viral sensations for about a year and have some strong opinions about them. Anthropologie Icon Juice Glass These whimsical 17-ounce Icon Juice Glasses are made using hand-pressed glass beads and handblown glass, resulting in 28 unique designs (and counting) from tennis balls to bow-tie pasta. Because they're handmade, you'll notice that no two are alike in size. Anthropologie also releases limited-edition versions for the holidays that tend to sell out faster than you can click "Add to cart," so you won't want to sleep on them when they drop. There are also other styles in the Icon Glass collection, from a confetti version to a chic martini glass begging to sit on top of your bar cart to a cute double-walled version. While I first heard about these glasses a few years ago when a co-worker kept pitching stories about them, I didn't get bit by the so-called 'Icon' bug until last summer. On a summer weekend when I had nothing to do and had a strong case of what I call 'the shoppies,' I decided it was time to rip the bandage off and pick up one of these adorable glasses. My hope was that it would make me look forward to making coffee at home so I could cut my habit of buying $10 lattes multiple times a week. I thought getting this glass was the perfect little splurge that wouldn't break the bank. Plus, it doubles as a piece of home decor, so you can even keep it out on your counter or use it to store little items in the kitchen like sugar packets. These days, little affordable luxuries are trending since a lot of us are tightening our belts in these uncertain times. And it's easy to see why these handblown glasses are taking over kitchens around the country. I mean, look at the irresistible little croissant-adorned version! These glasses make an at-home beverage feel fancier and make you feel like you're at a trendy restaurant patio sipping on a bubbly beverage instead of at your desk working away. In addition to my morning iced coffee, I've also been using the Icon Juice Glass for my daily electrolyte drink and greens drink. My favorite unique way to use them? For snacking! They're the perfect vessel for cherries, nuts or other charcuterie-style snacks. It's not a new trend to collect kitchen items (vintage Pyrex, anyone?) so this product definitely fulfills that desire, and for under $20 to boot. Personally, I can say that I'm less tempted to go out of my way to buy an overpriced latte a few blocks away, thanks to these elevated glasses. You can't beat the price for the instant happiness one of these glasses provides. I can proudly say I've also gotten a couple of our editors hooked on these cute glasses, and they echo my feelings about them. 'There's no other way to say it — the Icon Juice Glasses just make me want to have my family and friends over and host — and spend all my money collecting every single design,' said Stephanie Griffin, our director of social. Though there are a couple negatives we'll break down below, in my opinion, they're not deal breakers and still make these glasses worth the hype. The main thing to keep in mind is that you shouldn't use these for hot beverages, as Griffin learned the hard way. 'They're extremely heat sensitive, so avoid hot liquids at all costs! I, unfortunately, made this mistake and my all-time favorite glass — the croissant — quite literally shattered in my hands,' she said. They're also hand-wash only, which is a major con for Griffin. However, because I don't have a dishwasher (New York City problems) and I have to hand-wash all my dishes already, that wasn't an issue for me. If you don't love open-top glasses, I've also got my eyes on the tumbler version that comes with a lid and a straw. I have two cats and they always like to stick their noses in my beverages, so I might need to snag one of these soon. Pro tip: Griffin also pointed out that these glasses are compatible with Yeti lids, so if you already have one of those at home, you can DIY it. Let's just say, I'm going to need to clear out a shelf in my kitchen cabinets to accommodate my growing Icon Juice Glass collection. There's no doubt this glass is downright adorable and is sure to brighten up your at-home coffee routine. If you're looking for something to put hot coffee in though, you'll want to opt for a different mug that's heat-resistant. After using these glasses almost every day for a year, they still look good as new and don't show any signs of cracking or wear and tear (though I've basically treated them like my first-born children). They also make for the perfect gift, whether you need a hostess gift or something to gift your bridesmaids! Are the Anthropologie Icon Juice Glasses dishwasher-safe? Are the Anthropologie Icon Juice Glasses dishwasher-safe? According to Anthropologie's website, you should hand-wash these glasses because of their delicate nature. They're also not suitable for hot beverages and could potentially break if the liquid is too hot. TikTok's current obsessions? Trader Joe's mini totes, beef tallow skincare and more 📲
TikTok's current obsessions? Trader Joe's mini totes, beef tallow skincare and more 📲 Consider this your weekly guide to the internet's trendiest products across beauty, wellness, travel and beyond. One of the perks of being as chronically online as I am (and will forever be), is that I'm constantly "in the know" as to what's trending on any given week—the most viral TikTok products, the latest shopping collaborations that people can't stop talking about, the biggest deals to score from popular retailers like Amazon. My internet addiction is both a blessing and a curse, but it's one that's enabled me to develop a strong shopping radar and sniff out the trendiest TikTok products that are actually worth the hype—and backed by very real reviews. To help guide you in the direction of your next favorite TikTok-approved purchase I'll be coming to you every Friday with a breakdown of the week's most viral TikTok products, including reasoning behind why certain items are trending, what professional shoppers (like myself) really think about them and why they deserve a spot in your online shopping cart. In this week's installment, I take a look at viral items like the infamous Trader Joe's mini totes (now available in new colors), a genius product hack for your next home renovation project and the polarizing beef tallow skincare staple that's super effective (albeit a little weird). 📲 More: Trend alert! Anthropologie just dropped new Icon Juice Glasses for spring Anthropologie's Icon Juice Glass is truly the gift that keeps on giving. Each new season, the brand drops the TikTok-viral glass in a bevy of new iterations, all inspired by the most prominent designs and colors of the season. Devout Anthro shoppers (like myself) have been eagerly awaiting for the retailer's spring launches, and have been pleasantly surprised to see a number of new Icon Juice Glass styles on the site this week. My verdict? As someone who loves hosting a themed dinner party, these are the absolute best glasses to have on hand for every occasion or season—I know, because I have a pretty large assortment myself. They're durable yet dainty, simple yet sophisticated, and they give you the opportunity to let every quirky part of your personality shine through. Love shrimp? There's literally an Icon Juice Glass for that. More: Celebrate 100 years of Le Creuset with the splurge-worthy Flamme Dorée collection 2. I found the ice bath that's all over your TikTok feed You no longer have to be a professional athlete or be a member at some high-end gym in order to subscribe to the ice bath philosophy—in fact, you can now have your own at home. Ice bath mania has officially peaked, with TikTok users investing in their own models for at-home use. The IceDoo Recovery Pod remains one of the app's most popular models at the moment, but one scroll through the #IceBath tag on TikTok will introduce you to a range of options. My verdict? With an under-$100 price tag, you really can't beat the Amazon deal on this top-rated ice bath. Plus, I'm all for atypical wellness practices that can transform your health, especially when they have the cosign of my favorite athletes (hi, Serena Williams). Is wellness your goal? Use our exclusive iHerb code to save on vitamins, supplements and more 3. Beef tallow is beauty's newest ingredient obsession By now, you've probably heard all about the craze surrounding beef tallow skincare—or at least seen it play out on your TikTok feed. The video explainers, the surge in beef tallow beauty products—the ingredient has quickly reached hyaluronic acid-levels of popularity online, with users raving about its naturally hydrating properties and ability to revive even the driest skin. This Heart and Homestead Handmade Whipped Tallow Balm has emerged as one of the TikTok trend's most viral products, with over 20,000 bought last month on Amazon alone. My verdict? Never in my life did I think that my skincare routine would (unironically) revolve around snail mucin, beef tallow and goat milk—but alas, TikTok trends have led me into some seriously bizarre corners of the beauty world. And as skeptical as I was about trying this product in particular (or really any beef tallow skincare for that matter), the balm has worked total wonders on my skin, especially in areas where I'm more prone to peeling or flakiness—like my elbows or ankles. Trust me: You need this in your skincare arsenal for summer. More: Are you a Sephora Rouge member? Here's your guide to the Beauty Insider sale 4. Shoppers are obsessed with this peel-and-stick tile for home renovating With so much fluctuation in the economy right now, many TikTok shoppers have been embracing more budget-friendly approaches to home renovation. Rather than fully gutting their spaces, users are relying on these Nexus Vinyl Floor Tiles to upgrade their home without the price commitment (or hassle) of a proper restoration. The peel-and-stick tiles make it easy to redecorate the backsplash in a kitchen or the flooring in a bathroom, even for those who are working on a tighter budget. My verdict? With over 22,000 rave reviews on Amazon's site, these peel-and-stick vinyl tiles are a dream solution for renters (like myself) who struggle with committing to more permanent renovation projects (also me) and don't have the budget to finance them in this economy anyway (it's me again). Best of all, you can shop them in a variety of designs like marble, granite and slate. 📲 More: 10 viral TikTok products on sale today: Shop them while you can 5. The famous Trader Joe's mini totes are back in stock—and in pastel colors Of all the viral TikTok products that are trending this week, the Trader Joe's mini tote has undoubtedly gotten the most traction online. While Trader Joe's canvas bags certainly aren't new, this week, the retailer relaunched the cute accessory in a slew of new spring colors—including pastel pink, green and a lavender purple. The Trader Joe's bag drop (unsurprisingly) caused mayhem both in stores and online, as shoppers rushed to get their hands on the coveted reusable totes. My verdict? You can never have too many tote bags, especially when they're made from a durable canvas material that's designed to last—as this one is. I love using these types of bags for grocery shopping or whenever I'm running errands, and these new shades feel like such a fun departure from the branded colorways of past Trader Joe's totes. While the new pastel-hued mini totes are pretty much sold out everywhere, you can still try your luck in-store or opt for the original tote at Amazon! Can't find the pastel mini tote? Opt for the Trader Joe's Mini Insulated Tote Bag at Amazon How do I determine TikTok's most viral products? There are a couple factors I take into consideration when narrowing down the best TikTok products on any given week, including: Which product categories are trending on TikTok? Is there an organic discourse surrounding individual items? Are there product reviews from shoppers that can support the hype surrounding a popular TikTok product? Understanding the functionality of an item—beyond just its virality—is critical in assessing its value, and I ensure that any products recommended here are also backed by USA Today Shopping editors and readers, and boast no lower than a 4.0 average rating. 📲 Follow us: Check out USA TODAY Shopping on Instagram for deals, trends and more
