Prior to joining Hotel Seville NoMad, Moccia managed the rebranding and reopening of Hyatt Grand Central New York along with serving as the director of operations for Hyatt Centric Times Square and Andaz 5th Avenue. In his role as general manager of Hotel Seville NoMad, Moccia oversees the day-to-day operations of the hotel while fostering a connection-fueled working environment and an inviting hotel atmosphere. Under Moccia's leadership, Hotel Seville NoMad is poised to emerge as a dynamic new destination for locals and visitors alike, offering touchpoints into the neighborhood's vibrant past while elevating the guest experience through culture, cuisine and connection. The 348-room hotel will soon introduce luxurious reimagined guest rooms, refreshed interiors and engaging guest programming. Representing the hotel's newest offering, Il Bar debuted in early 2025 as a new guest gathering space in the lobby, centered around a cascading stone bar designed by Thomas Juul-Hansen and offering creative cocktails and small bites. Il Bar is open Tuesday through Saturday from 3:30 to 10:30 p.m. for guests to enjoy happy hour, pre-dinner cocktails or a nightcap, serving as a bookend for any New York adventure.
