Sandro launches first Argentina store in Buenos Aires
French ready-to-wear brand Sandro, a premium brand of the SMCP group, has announced its arrival in Argentina with the imminent opening of a store in Alcorta Shopping, a mall in Buenos Aires. It will be a flagship store in one of the most luxurious shopping malls in Buenos Aires, located on Avenida Figueroa Alcorta and Salguero. This announcement follows numerous store openings by international brands in the country, encouraged by the more global facing commercial policies of the current Argentine government. Sandro is a Parisian brand that has long been a leader in the affordable luxury segment. It is known for its men's and women's collections, both refined and original, with an added touch of audacity this season. Evelyne Chetrite, founder and creative director of the label since its inception in 1984, is known for her precise aesthetics: modern and sophisticated clothing that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Since 2008, Ilan Chetrite, Evelyne's son, has developed the Sandro Homme line, focusing on classics reinvented with a modern twist, in the style of Bourdelle, whose mother was a knitter by trade. Sandro counts more than 750 points of sale worldwide. Today, it is the key brand of the Sandro, Maje and Claudie Pierlot group, known as SMCP.
