Pride and Prejudice to be performed at Montgomery Castle
An outdoor theatre performance is set to bring a classic tale to life in Powys this summer.
Montgomery Castle will host a performance of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice by the Illyria Theatre Company on August 14 at 7pm, in celebration of the author's 250th birthday.
Mike Mills, one of the organisers, said: "I am thrilled to be involved with this project.
"Hopefully people will come along with their picnics and enjoy a superb night of outdoor theatre at one of the most dramatic venues in Montgomeryshire.
"We have only a limited number of seats, so if people bring along their foldable chairs that would be very helpful."
Illyria's adaptation has previously enjoyed seven years of sold-out shows across the UK and Europe.
The event is supported by the Arts Council of Wales' Night Out scheme and is wheelchair accessible.
Parking at the castle is limited, and visitors are asked to park in Montgomery and walk to the venue.
