Ireland ready to be global leader in high-value biopharma services
A new BioPharma Business Services (BBS) strategy will be launched today for Ireland's biopharmaceutical and chemical sector. The strategy aims to position Ireland as a hub for global services by leveraging the country's position as a leading manufacturing location and diversifying and strengthening the industry ecosystem in the country. BioPharmaChem Ireland (BPCI), the Ibec group that represents the sector, launches the strategy at the Impact 2025 conference and awards taking place at the Killashee House Hotel in Naas. Nearly 9,500 professionals, representing close to 20% of total BioPharmaChem employment in Ireland, work in BBS. BBS is one of the fastest growing industry segments, expected to grow by 10% by 2027.
